So much talent and amazing staging. Would see it again in a heartbeat! My one complaint would be the elevators in the building. I get it - these were added to make a historic inaccessible building much more accessible, and that's wonderful. But having two handicap people with our party, those elevators were SLOW and slightly terrifying. I worried we might get stuck at one point, haha. Otherwise, the evening was amazing!

Also, Colonial Players now offers Seat FlexTickets for Adults for $22.00 per seat ($110.00 total) and for Seniors, Students, and Active Military for $18.00 per seat ($90.00) total. They are transferable .... How cool is that? Parking can be a challenge so be sure to arrive with plenty of time before the start of the plays to allow time to get your ticket and get comfortable. It's Latin American Heritage month! The Tito Peunte Jr concert was phenomenal. Mambo is in his blood. It was an hour and thirty minutes of non stop Afro Cuban jazz. I'm talking salsa and mambo! I've been to Cuba and the scene was absolutely incredible with great acoustics and of course perfection on the timbales that could only come from the late Tito Puente's (17 time Grammy Award winner) son. This was not just a concert, this was a centennial celebration of the 100th year of Tito Puente's world renown influence. If feels good to listen to great music and even better to pay homage to those that paved the way before us. Oye cómo va, mi ritmo..." (Listen how it goes, my rhythm) Treat yourself!

I took my 7 year old son to see the play "A Christmas Carol." We thoroughly enjoyed the show. It was geared to third through fifth graders and was just the right length. Very affordable as well...our tickets were $8.00 each. I loved the theater itself. It sort of had an old fashioned feel but had been updated where needed. There didn't seem to be a bad seat in the whole place and we were able to sit in the second row which was really fun. The seats were comfortable and positioned so they weren't one right behind another but staggered so that you could see through the heads of the people in front of you. The building was very easily accessible and had plenty of parking. I will definitely keep an eye on upcoming shows of interest to us and look forward to coming back again soon.

Parking in the area was a bit tricky, but I used SpotHero and found a nearby lot. That said, I didn't feel very comfortable walking to the theater alone, so I ended up taking a Lyft instead. As a woman by myself, safety is always a priority, and that just felt like the better choice (so don't judge lol). The theater itself is surprisingly spacious. It holds a lot more people than I expected. One of the best parts for me was the legroom. The seats don't recline, but honestly, it wasn't an issue at all because the space made up for it. Overall, it's a great venue, and I'd definitely come back for another event.

We were ushered inside and then waited in a queue for about 30 minutes. It was okay and the anticipation was building! The 3D glasses were a nice added bonus. Based on what I had read, I was expecting more moving floors unless that was just the illusion. The strobe lights were pretty intense and the fog room was fantastic. My friends and I really enjoyed the scares that we had and the attractions themselves. Sometimes it was hard to see and follow the path especially in the pitch black rooms. When I walked through the last curtain, I initially thought I had gone out an exit that wasn't the end. We came out on the opposite side of the building from where we started and there were no signs or anything that indicated we were at the end and then had to walk three-quarters of the way around the building to get back to our car. It was very odd that there was no signage. The guy with the chainsaw running after and scaring people at the end was cool, but it was somewhat of a letdown that we then had to walk back around the building. I expected us to leave the haunted house similarly to where we entered, but no. I enjoyed it. I'll likely come back in the future to check it out again. Recommend if you are looking for a good scare and I recommend coming Sunday night as it was a lot less crowded then a Friday or Saturday night.
