The Staff at Chesterfield was polite, thoughtful, prompt and professional. They extended themselves with making, me, the customer, pleased. I found the quality of the materials and workmanship to be topnotch. The suggestions the Sales Rep rendered were of the utmost use. I am a return customer to Chesterfield, since they installed my original awnings about 15 years ago. I was very happy with their service then, so I didn't consider calling anyone else. The original awnings needed to be replaced, and I had since increased the size of the front porch, so that awning needed to be larger. Ed came out with the sample books and spent considerable time with me as I went through the sample fabrics. When I thought I had finally decided on one, Ed told me that after a time, that particular pattern might look "dirty," and suggested another one, asking me what I thought of that one. I went with his suggestion and I am so happy I did -- they look absolutely fabulous. When the installers came out, they did a wonderful job, working efficiently and professionally. When they were finished, I asked them if it was possible for me to remove the line of "sealant?" from the brick where the old awning had been. Without hesitation, they grabbed the ladder, climbed up, and chiseled it off for me. I am a very happy customer and highly recommend Chesterfield Awning. read more

Chesterfield Awning is incredible! I'm an illustrator in Chicago that recently won a contest to design an awning for a bar called Cork Lounge. It was an honor to win, BUT I was also tasked with getting the awning up there as well... I had no clue where to begin! Fortunately, I happened upon Chesterfield Awning online. From the second I reached out to them, they were amazing and very eager to help. I dealt with a few people at there office throughout the process - from the graphic designer to the sales rep to the receptionists - and every one of them was so nice, personable, and professional. I was searching for a company to place some awnings on my back sun porch overlooking my pool. I found Chesterfield awning on line and thought to give them a call. A gentleman named Ed came to my house and went over so samples and I advised him of what I needed and wanted and he gave me some great options. After our meeting, I informed Ed that I was going to get some more estimates and with no pressure he said absolutely give me a call when you have made your decision. While I did get other estimates that were lower in cost it stuck out to me how great Ed was above all the others. I decided to go with Chesterfield and I am so happy I did what an amazing and professional job they did. I was not even home upon installation and did not have any mess to clean up nor any touch painting to do. They were responsive, listened to our comments, and very professional with a friendly hometown kind of touch. This awning is a free form awning covering the entire width of our house(50-60 Ft) over the patio.. The craftmanship on the awning was the best I've ever seen. I had two awnings installed by Chesterfield in 2007 and 2008 over my front and back doors. We just had one recovered and another installed over the garage entry door this summer. I was shown a rendering of what the awning will look like before submitting an order so I could play with colors and styles which was very professional. Considering adding a permanent overhang is thousands of dollars and I haven't had very good luck with contractors quality lately, awnings have turned out to be reasonably cost effective at providing the same benefit. Chesterfield is clearly building these things really well, the frames have stood up to 2 feet of snow and they're obviously installed really well against the house. read more

Such a great job!! I thought I needed to replace my awnings- falling apart at the seams. We live on northwest side of Chicago and after being blown off by 2 other companies in the area I called Chesterfield. I honestly thought they would not come out either being so far from us. Ed showed exactly on time. Ed said I could replace them but fabric was still in good shape and they could take them apart wash and re-sew them all for 1/3 the cost of new and they may last another 10 years. Horrible place, they don't care about their long time costumers . Tried to get them to come out and remove awnings from house and replace material , I emailed them multiple times and got nothing. The sales rep replied to one email stating he would call me to discuss and I received no call , I tried emailing back and still got nothing . Do not use this place !!!!!!!!!! read more
