7/26/2019 11:50 AM I walked into the Imaging Center to see if they had received the referral from my doctor to get a chest x-ray. The receptionist was finishing up with a young lady and she asked me to sign in and explained she would be with me shortly. She was very nice. Once she came back I explained that I needed to see if the referral had been received by them and I wanted to get an idea of how long a wait it would be. She explained that she did not have the ability to this and sent me to the lady in the first screening desk. She was a middle aged lady with blond hair and before I could get to her she said "You don't need an x-ray!". Maybe she thought I looked to healthy or I was a bum off the street which I believe the latter was the case. I walked over to her and showed her the report that I received from the calcium screen done on Monday of this week which states "The included lungs demonstrate chronic appearing atelectasis right lower lobe". After explaining this she rudely told me to go back to the receptionist to find out if the referral had been sent. I turned around and went back to the lady that checked me in and she informed me that this lady was on her way to lunch and explained she still could not get this information and that that information would only be provided by the people behind the screening desks. At this time the lady that told me I didn't need and x-ray had left. So the receptionist found someone to help me. The lady that she handed me off to was very nice and let me know that they had the referral and would be happy to give me the x-ray. When my wife and I came in on Monday morning for the calcium screen everything went very smoothly. I do not remember when I have been treated so rudely thank goodness they rest of the people were very helpful and courteous. The receptionist here was rude, not a welcome start. Inside after a short enough wait, the receiving administrator declined Xray care due to a misspelling of my name on the doctor's referral sheet. They were not at all helpful in solving an easy problem to fix. I will not return here. read more

I walked in to get an x-ray for myself however Chesterfield Imaging denied me service because I had my 10-year-old and eight-year-old with me. I called back and ask them what parents do with their kids and she continue to advise me to leave my kids with my spouse who does not get home until after their office hours at Chesterfield imaging. So my question is what do patients with children who do not have childcare so in this situation? Do I just not get my X-ray that my doctor advised me to get and let my medical problem get worst? Obviously my doctor sent me to get an x-ray for a reason because it is medically needed and I was denied service due to having kids? I will never come back to this location ever again because the lady was nasty about it as well. We all had masks on and just seemed like they were discriminatory against my children. Unacceptable! They don't even deserve the minimum of 1 star rating, I would choose a rating of No Stars if it was available! read more

Avoid this place!!! They made me pay $1700 for an MRI upfront. I have MS and they wouldn't give my brain MRI disk to my husband for my appointment with the neurologist who is diagnosing me. I can't walk right now... Horrible service although the lady who did the MRI was nice although running an hour behind. read more

I came here because I needed an MRA and my insurance (Cigna) would only allow for an HCA facility. They first scheduled me at the hospital but because I have high deductible insurance, I was looking at a $2400 bill so I inquired with my insurer and found out that this facility would provide the same service for $800. Needless to say, I cancelled my original appt and made one here instead. I had an MRA scheduled for 8:30 a.m. I came in at 8 a.m., as advised on the phone and had completed the paperwork, billing responsibilities and procedure by 9 a.m. (my particular procedure took all of 10 minutes). It's a nice office, the staff were all very friendly and helpful, and parking is easy (Publix is right next door so there's tons of spaces for that). I was a bit surprised that a sign announced that I would receive a second, separate bill from a group of radiology doctors for reading the report. I have no idea how expensive that will be! I was told to expect a day or two for radiology and then however long from there for my own doctor to call. I was pleasantly surprised when my PCP called within 6 hours of my procedure. I don't understand the bad rating on Yelp. They were friendly, very professional and I was done at 8:46AM, and my appointment was scheduled for 8:45AM. There were many people coming in and everything was moving smooth. Their prices are usually better than most places to top it off. read more

I was a little bit hesitant after seeing so many negative reviews, but I couldn't have been happier with my experience there yesterday. Melissa at the front desk was great, my technician (Holly) was fantastic. I got there 30 minutes early as requested, and I was finished and out the door 15 minutes before my appointment time. PEOPLE OF COLOR AVOID In today's climate, I never thought I would have to write a review like the following. Today, I walked in to get a neck x-ray. When I arrived the receptionist Melissa was very impolite and she completely disregarded me. She didn't even greet me, just stared at me and I told her the reason I was there. She asked for my insurance card and I informed her that I have insurance but I did not have my card with me. Before arriving, I researched and found out that my insurance was outside of their network and per the sign posted, if a patient does not have their insurance card they can do self-pay, so that is what I expected. However, she rudely instructed me I could not do self-pay. At this point, I was continuously denied other options to have my procedure performed. She proceeded to raise her tone of voice and to speak to me as if I was incompetent. She also lied about me being in the system when they are affiliated with Chippenham and I am in the system. When I called to speak to a team lead Carrie, she wasn't better. She instantly became upset, loud and had a smart tone. Also, she continuously cut me off during the conversation. You cannot expect the receptionist to act accordingly, if the leadership is poor. After calling the Appomattox location and the Independence Park location, they stated I could self-pay and that the Chesterfield location was inaccurate in their info. Afterwards, I called my chiropractor office and they tried to talk to the receptionist to no avail. Eventually Melissa hung up on my chiropractor office. As the only minority in the establishment at the time, as I stood in line no other people received this treatment, I find this behavior to be very inappropriate and belittling. From the other reviews, it is evident that Melissa has displayed this discriminatory behavior towards other minorities. I would not recommend this place if my life depended on it. read more

I've had several health related issues in the past five years including cancer and tendon impingement. Chesterfield Imaging is where I always ask to go for scans, X-rays and MRIs. The staff are friendly, kind and exceptionally caring when an issue is found. They take the time to thoroughly explain testing and results. Wait times are never an issue. The facility is always very clean and cheery!! read more

Terrible. Waited over an hour only to be told my daughter couldn't sit in the waiting room like she did last year.....none of the staff bothered to let me know before I was called....then only received a "sorry you can reschedule." Nope nope nope. read more

I can only speak for scheduled appointments here as I've not had any walk in situations, but I give my last 2 visits 5 stars-more if I could. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and registered within 10 minutes of my arrival. I was asked to arrive 30 minutes before my appointment to get registered, etc. The young lady who greeted me was smiling and pleasant. The lady who registered me was very nice and professional. When discussing some private information, she made sure to lower her voice even though we were off in a corner at her desk. I still appreciated that! Let's move on to the actual tech, shall we? I was there for a mammogram and Crystal (sp?) was AMAZING! She was friendly and comforting right from the get go. After changing, I waited a maximum of 4 minutes for her to get me in the room and she chatted with me the whole time while working away! This makes everything a little less uncomfortable and makes it go by much quicker as well. I arrived at 11:00 for an 11:30 appointment and was out of there by 11:45. Same thing happened on my last mammogram last year. I will be returning year after year as long as they keep this level of service up. read more

Do not allow anyone you care about go here!!!! They will not help a patient at all. They would prefer to see a patient die in hall way or break a hip getting on MRI table. They told me they helped my Mom. She was starting to have an asthma attack waiting to use the only ONE dressing room. They gave her a mask and a chair to set in hallway. An left her. Do they not know that you can die from an asthma attack. After having a patient in a gown help her walk down the hall way, she was setting in waiting room crying and unable to get to car. I called from Florida to get her help. I talked to two ladies. Carey told me there was nothing she could do. She just kept asking me what I wanted her to do. I even ask her to go set with her and give her some water. In major frustration, I even asked if they preferred me to call 911 to get help. They never even checked in her in waiting room. There was two people waiting, both with walkers. I hope they survived without falling. read more

I have been getting several x-rays at Chesterfield Imaging on several occasions and always had a very pleasant experience. I asked the nice gentleman who worked with me how they get me in within just 10 minutes all the time and he explained to me that I was lucky since it depends on the patients that are coming in. Some patients are, due to their illness, very slow in getting ready to be x-rayed etc. This will delay all the appointments that are scheduled after them. I truly believe that everyone is trying their best to have us in and out in a timely manner but as the gentlemen explained some of us are a little faster and some of us are very slow. read more
