It is easy as woman to feel taken advantage of when your car breaks down. Life is expensive and anything that goes wrong is a huge deal. However, the shop performed and charged for two oil changes within an interval of approximately 5,000 miles. I was not informed that the second oil change was unnecessary based on the manufacturer's recommendations, nor was I given a technical explanation justifying an early oil change. At no point was I advised that the service was redundant or optional. Had I been properly informed, I would not have authorized the second oil change. I attempted to contact the shop by phone and left a voicemail requesting clarification, but I did not receive a response. I believe this reflects a lack of transparency and failure to obtain informed consent for an unnecessary service. If you can't trust this shop with an oil change, image any other service.

What should have been a routine repair has turned into an ongoing frustration. For the amount I paid, I expected quality work and a proper resolution. Looking back, I should have paid more attention to the 2.8-star reviews and gone somewhere more reputable. I'll be taking my car to Pep Boys or another credible shop to have the issue properly diagnosed and fixed. I left my truck there for repair to my exhaust system at 8 AM. Later that afternoon, I received an email stating that the parts were not available for my truck. I did not even receive a phone call. Finally, no explanation was given when I retrieved my truck. In addition, the truck was left unlocked when I went to pick it up. I told the mechanic I had a cracked front reflector and asked if that would affect inspection. He said it would not, but after looking at it he pointed out that there was also a separation which would allow water to enter and cause more damage. I told him I had a replacement on order and he said he could put some tape to cover it till the piece arrived. I agreed and thanked him. I didn't look closely at my itemized bill till I got home, which is when I saw a charge of $15 for him to put a 3" piece of packing tape over the cracked reflector. Now, that wasn't a huge charge and they probably would have removed the charge if I asked them to, but for me it was more a matter of principle: I wasn't told about the charge. Clay's was off our list. Around the same time, my brother found another local mechanic which we have been using since then, which is over ten years now. Counting family members and two friends we recommended, there are seven vehicles that are now regularly serviced there, and not at Clay's Automotive.

The Mechanic called the Manager Gus to discuss the the issue, Gus the manager got extremely irate , rude and began yelling through the phone, I reported it to the Manager on site Zack 7/27/24 was very arrogant and not helpful at and wanted to charge me $105 dollars for a tire that is under warranty (a life time warranty at that) I asked is there any way that you can compensate me with the replacement of my warranty tire and they would not compensate or give me a reduce rate on a tire that was under warranty telling me that the tire that I have is no longer in stock and the one's in stock are a little more expensive, well that is not my fault, that particular tire was out of stock, so you going to charge me full price $105 dollars, shame on Walmart, both Gus and Zack the manager's are the worst and have very poor customer service and no work ethic at all, they're both are arrogant, rude and very disrespectful to their Walmart customers....
