Took it in and they said it was because the bumper wasn't installed correctly and there was water getting on the inside of the bumper, which In turn made an electrical part stop. Ok, I am out of warranty, but since this was Volvos fault shouldn't that have fixed. About a year ago I traded in my 2020 Volvo XC60 for a different make vehicle as a lease. It was the worst decision I ever made. I ended up having to go through the lemon law process to have them take it back. Once I knew I had funds being returned to me I decided to return to Volvo as it was my most favorite vehicle ever. I knew I wanted the XC60 with the Ultra trim, but could not get one locally. I asked my local dealership to work on finding me one, but they did not put too much effort in. So, I started to look on my own and that was when I came across one at North Point Volvo that had everything I wanted and more. I reached out to the dealership and inquired about the purchase process for someone located in the Florida Panhandle. I was paired up with Marissa as my salesperson and she did not disappoint! She went above and beyond throughout the entire process, was very responsive, super helpful, and made the purchase experience an easy one. The only bump I had was with the 3rd party shipping company who could not seem to procure someone to bring the vehicle to me. This was no fault of the dealership at all. On Friday, 5/16/2025, I asked if they would be able to meet me at the Atlanta airport with the vehicle if I was to fly in on Saturday, 5/16/2025. I was trying to avoid getting an Uber from the airport to Alpharetta and paying ~$150 for that. Marissa did not miss a beat and readily agreed to help me out. I booked my flight and left Pensacola at 7:00 am, arrived at the passenger pickup area about 9:45 am, was on the road in 2 minutes, and home 4.5 hours later. The service department has been going downhill for years. We have purchased three cars from NP Volvo. The most recent, our 2021 S60. The brake vacuum pump failed at 40,000 miles. They offered zero help with towing, a loaner vehicle and, when we got the car home from the repair, it is now leaking oil. I have texted three people, including Adam Crenshaw, the manager and left VM for Adam, twice and for the store manager(dont know his name). Still nothing. Awful, awful, avoid at all cost. read more

We had a horrible experience at North Point Volvo. We worked with Daniel Saez and Mark Kops. First, we agreed to a vehicle which was documented to have 4 miles on it. When we got the car, it had over 1000 miles on it. Secondly, we received a bill that included surprise charges from Volvo Financial after the fact, despite asking multiple times if there were any other charges on our lease after trade-in. We were incredibly frustrated with the experience. To add to it, it took over 3 weeks for the General Manager (Mark Kops) to return our calls. Horrible customer service. I'd been looking for a car since October 2021 and finally purchased one in March 2022. It was a very pleasant experience and I'm thankful for Tony A (TA) and the staff at North Point Volvo. I'd already received financing from my credit union and found the car I wanted online. I had a car I could trade in but didn't mention it because other dealers had only offered a couple hundred dollars for a car that was paid off in full. After the taxes and fees were applied the car I selected was about $3000 more than what I'd been approved for by my bank. I explained to TA , I didn't have the 3k in cash to make up the difference and mentioned the car I had to trade. Within a day he called back and told me they were going to accept the trade in and when could I come test drive the car? If you've ever bought a car you know the high pressure sales tactics can be very intimidating and exhausting. I experienced none of that here and feel like I'm a Volvo customer for life just based on my experience with this dealer. I went in on a Saturday and got all the paperwork completed and picked the car up the following Wednesday. I could have gotten it on Monday but it rained for four days straight and who wants to pick up a new car in the rain (in Atlanta, where there are daily car crashes when the sun is shining)? I'm three days from having the car an entire month and I'm just as happy as the Saturday I went in to complete the paperwork and drop off the trade in. Very positive car buying experience. Buy from TA, he's gonna get the deal done, polite, patient and listens to your concerns. He's the car salesman you wish existed. read more

Not Impressed...I purchased a CPO "Certified Pre Owned" vehicle from N. Point in October. The operative words here are "CPO" which adds to the price of the car, that's fine IF the CPO "multi point" inspection and needed follow up work is performed. With no windshield washer fluid, a missing Jack, lug wrench and tongs to remove the lug nuts , 4,000 miles on the motor oil....come on guys...what's an oil and filter change cost you...for a"CPO" vehicle? I am NOT at all confident that my purchase ever underwent a "CPO" inspection! They talk a good line but buyer beware. Volvo Corporate will be hearing from me as well. read more

My husband and I recently attempted to purchase a certified pre-owned 2018 XC60 from NPV. We found the car at night and it looked pretty great in the dark and even in the lit garage. We were told that there was absolutely no wiggle room in the inflated price due to Covid. We agreed to the price as we were certain that we would be getting a great car because we were paying significantly more for a Volvo "certified pre-owned" vehicle. When we returned a couple of days later to pay (we had left a deposit). The car didn't look good in the day light. All four wheels were severely damaged and there were big gouges in the paint. Also, only 1 tire had been replaced. As part of CPO, tires need to be replaced if the wear is 40% or greater. How could only 1 tire qualify? We asked our salesman to explain; he didn't have an answer and instructed us to speak directly to Mark, the GM of NPV. After explaining the above issues to Mark, he said that we had already agreed to purchase the car and he was absolutely unwilling to fix the car or adjust the price. He very quickly told us that we were welcome to walk away. He was curt to say the least and our conversation lasted under a minute. NPV did refund our deposit without hassle. We then drove 2 blocks to Lexus and bought a nicer, newer RX350 for the same price. What a different shopping experience. Their CPO cars looked great. All of them had brand new tires and minimal pain damage. They also had much better warranties. They even worked with us on a little paint damage. In the end, I am glad that Mark dismissed us so quickly because we made a better choice. However, I feel for the Sales people at Volvo. We can't be the first customers so easily dismissed. read more

This Volvo dealership is much closer to my house than Volvo of Marietta where I purchased my S90 with an extended Volvo warranty. When I took the car to North Point they claimed that a dislodged parking sensor was not covered under warranty because a rock must have knocked it out or position. It would have been a minimum of $390 just to remove the bumper to see what was going on; which didn't include the cost for a sensor or other possible expenses. When pushed on how they knew it was a rock, they said that was typical although there was no evidence of damage from a rock on my car adjacent to the sensor. I called Marietta and they said "bring it in and we'll cover it under warranty". Moral of the story? Go to Marietta to look for the Volvo of your dreams because they put the customer first. I won't go back to North Point. read more

The sales people are great! I wrote a raving review about my experience with that part. I had a wonderful experience buying my car. They made it easy and mostly virtual. What a blessing Rick Smalls is. The service department isn't quite up to that level but it's tolerable. Maybe it's because I've had range rovers and Porsches before that and this service dept is not that level. They tell you to bring your car in and say you can get a loaner/rental. 1. But maybe you won't get a rental 2. I've been loitering on the sales floor for an hour. I arrived at 7:30 to be early to ensure I'd get a rental. 3. Then: "We are out of loaners. None came back in. But Enterprise opens at 8 am. They'll come find you." 4. At 8:37 I go back to ask where enterprise is. The guy says oh there was one person in front of you. Me: it takes 35 minutes to rent one person a car? The guy: yes they'll come find you. So I'm wondering, wouldn't it also be more efficient to tell people rentals are not available til 8 so we don't hustle to there at 7:30 only to have no quiet and private place to do work calls? Update: at 9 am I got the rental from enterprise. Service guys are busy but nice. read more

Went there for a recall and had an appointment. I was told to expect a 1 1/2 hour wait. After about two hours I went to go ask about the status of my car and found out that there were problems. I was told to go ahead and have lunch and come back and everything should be fine. I went to lunch to come back to find out that I still had problems and was offered a loaner vehicle. I called back the next day and was advised that my correct part had come in and I should have my car back the next day. I called back the next day and found out that the part had not come in and there was no status of when my car would be done. About a week later I received a call while on vacation advising that my car was ready. When I returned from vacation to go pick up my car I found out that it was not ready. My car ended up being completed the next day. The service manager was very friendly and kind to work with but not sure that I will ever bring my car back to this location. read more

We get family for life , and I feel that volvo is a big part of my family I got for life. I started coming to North Point Volvo with my volvo S70 for basic service when I moved to Atlanta in 2006/07, and soon enough I ran into an issue with the NP Volvo service department trying to convince me to replace breaks and rotors , which were recently replaced at another volvo dealer. With all the records on hand , I went straight to Mark Kops , North Point Volvo General Manager and addressed the issue. He listened , apologized , and told me that he was going to fix it. I said that I would never be back here again. After several months or longer , Mark called me and offering a complementary oil service and stating that he Hopes of be pleasantly surprised with the good Changes . Mark revamped the entire service department, and I never looked for another volvo repair shop since. When the Need came to be , we bought our second Volvo here from Mark and his team at North Point and still service here. I have been servicing my xc90 at NPV since the day I purchased it as well. Over the years i have been to other dealerships , Mercedes , Volvo, Lexus, Toyota , VW , but I don't think twice of them. Quality people with integrity and care in their hearts meeting my family auto repair needs is what been making the difference! We live in the imperfect world surrounded by imperfect people. Often we forget that are also imperfect and messed up. Time after time , dealing with Mark Kops, general manager or solving my volvo issues with the service manager Adam Crenshaw and his team serves me a reminder of the relationships I'm blessed with in this life. If I could leave a no star review I would. Worse car experience I have ever dealt with. I have multiple issues with a vehicle north point Volvo stated was in "immaculate" condition "no issues what so ever." As I was a cash buyer I'm very disgusted with how I was treated. As I questioned several times if the vehicle had any defects. I live in Ky and found the Volvo online and they shipped the vehicle to me. Upon arrival, this vehicles seatbelt on the passager side would not retract or lock. The black material on the door was damaged and they tried to touch it up with a black marker(which is very noticeable.) The leather had three torn spots in it. The window switch in the rear was broken. The vehicle was out of alignment. Silver trim around gear shifter was broken and sharp enough to cut. They also stated they did an inspection, however I took my vehicle to my local Volvo dealer where they found rodent damage to wiring. My local Volvo dealer has stated if a valid inspection had been done through north point Volvo the electrical panel not working would have been flagged, leading them to have to dig into a more deeper discovery of the issue. Like I stated we were told the vehicle was in immaculate condition as I feel that this purchase was misrepresented some material facts about the car that North Point Volvo has neglected. I WILL ATTACH PHOTOS OF DAMAGES FROM MY LOCAL VOLVO DEALER. And if I could post a video of the damage of rodents my dealer sent me I would. My purchase experience with Melissa W. was half baked and half ass. I was in the market for a 2021 XC90 T6 AWD but the written quotes and their sales tactics were sooo disrespectful. She was nice but didn't have the knowledge about the the SUV line. The fees they attempted to charge me were made up and full of phony marks ups. Purchasing a luxury car the customer shouldn't be nickled and dimed at every turn! So don't call or text me that about a model I expressed interest in given you don't have what I want! And no I'm not interested in putting down a deposit. Don't ask me about my credit. You're the sales person! Not let's get to this ETF fee! ETF is NOT a DMV fee; however, it's legal in Georgia to charge such but not ethical. So you wanna charge me upwards of $50.00 to type up my paperwork excluding fee of $699.00 doc fee. I've been taking my Volvo here for regular maintenance for about 3 years now. The employees are friendly, helpful, & honest (I love that when they give recommendations of things that can be done, they aren't pushy, unless your safety is a concern). They offer a shuttle to take you to work, complimentary beverages and wi-fi if you opt to stay, or a rental car if your car takes longer than a day to finish. I bought an XC90 from Northpoint a year ago and quickly learned that today's product does not remote resemble the old Volvos in terms of workmanship, quality, and performance. Up until a few years ago, I never would buy or patronize dealerships - my experience had left me lubricated from interacting with their staff. North Point Volvo isn't perfect, but they're pretty darn good. They're expensive, but a Volvo is never going to be cheap. They do, however, make it easier. Free WiFi (which I am using now), free drinks, use of a car while they are working on yours or a ride to the MARTA, etc. I have purchased three cars here so far and have no regrets. read more

Most recently I have worked with Zac and Chad. They make it easy to drop off my car, get it fixed and pick it up smoothly and effortlessly. Throughout the years I have been able to trust their services. If there were additional issues they have phoned me to let me know about them. We purchased our vehicle here so we have always come back for maintenance and such. They are undergoing major renovations and it can be quite confusing to figure out where the service department is. Once I figured that out, I still had to look around and ask someone for guidance. It was early in the morning and I could tell sales teams were headed to the parking lot to start their day & try to close deals. I asked one of them for guidance and he seemed like he did not have the time to help me. I had an 8:30 am appointment and did not get out of there until around 11 AM. I only had an oil change. It's at them forever because I later found out that they had lost my keys because someone had written down the incorrect tag number. North Point was GREAT!! I had purchased a 2013 XC60 AWD used from another dealer and the radio went dead. I took it to North Point to see if they could fix it and they did. This is not the end of this story though. North Point's Zac, Garrett, and Lidia were fantastic they went the extra mile to make sure I was informed and the repair was fantastically taken care of. The first replacement had a bad pin, but that did not stop them they found another and the repair was made and within my narrow time frame. I will always take my car to North Point in the future.
