Recently got my car serviced here before. Mainly for a specific technician who is really skilled and detailed oriented with his work. The reason the dealership gets a 2 star review is to balance quality vs experience. I definitely miss my old service advisor. Since the changes, looks like its been downhill. Smells awful, and staff are more or less unprofessional. One stated they have a Corvette and asked if I had wanted to race. Definitely unprofessional from a company in the automotive industry to ever really mention racing. That said, biggest issue is that they now charge 3% to use any type of credit card. Thats pretty sad especially when theyre the one's choosing to offer acceptance of the payment. Effectively penny pinching and ever since Civil Code section 1748.1 was no longer enforced, the already millionaire owners are a bit ridiculous. Absorb the cost if you're going to allow a credit card payment. Pretty simple. Will be shifting to a private shop or another service center moving forward. read more

I recently purchased a vehicle from Chevrolet of Carson and my experience with the finance department left a very bad impression the overall experience felt like a huge scam NO TRANSPARENCY! . During the paperwork process, I noticed several fees that were not clearly explained upfront. The first fee being an alley of parent protection (Car Detailing fee for once a year) which is $1500 KARR security system fee that's $1000 DNA fee that is $1295 . When you're making a major purchase like a car, transparency is extremely important. When I questioned the charges and expressed that I wasn't comfortable with the hidden or unclear fees, the response from finance was disappointing. Earlier in the process, I had been given a due bill for a free oil change after I pushed back about the fees the finance manager double-backed on that due bill and took it away and said if he removes the fees he can't give me the free oil change ( ANTHONY) and laughed in my face It felt retaliatory and unprofessional, especially considering the concern I raised was simply about understanding the costs I was being asked to pay. Instead of working with the customer or explaining the charges clearly, it felt like the situation turned into pressure and games in the finance office. My advice to anyone buying here: read every single line of your paperwork and DECLINE and question every fee before signing anything. The sales process may seem smooth, but once you get to finance things can change quickly. A dealership should stand behind transparency and good customer service, especially after a customer has already committed to buying a vehicle. Scam scam scam I recently visited Chevrolet of Carson and had one of the most uncomfortable dealership experiences I've ever had. In my personal experience, the salesperson and finance staff (including a bald finance manager) used tactics that felt extremely misleading. During the process, I was told that my interest rate would only be lowered if I agreed to add multiple warranties and protection packages -- something I never asked for. When I reviewed what they were presenting, the numbers didn't match what we discussed, and it looked like thousands of dollars in extra add-ons were included without my clear consent. They also pushed hard for me to sign on a digital pad and accept a USB drive instead of giving me a printed contract. Please be careful with this. Always ask for a paper copy BEFORE signing anything, so you can actually see what is being added. Because the situation didn't feel honest, I chose to walk away. I'm glad I did. I called to confirm I don't need to get the first oil change the day I pay the girl on the phone said no, you can pay and schedule an appointment for the oil change so I go and a guy says no you need to do the oil change same day. I call at 530 pm, guy said car out for test drive, will call me back before closing. Googled dealership close at 9pm. I wait for call, none. I call at 830 pm. Found out guy left work at 6 pm. Operator said talk to Michael Gay supervisor. - Tuesday December 23, 2025 - 10 am. I call and very irate now. Operator would not give Michael to talk. Received text (finally) car might be done Wednesday. 1030 am - talked to Michael and explained my timeline. Said he'd call back for an update. 2) My comments: No updates till I called? 5 business days car service.. Fine... but you mean to tell me my brother who goes to a small family owned auto shop in palos verdes can give loaner vehicles for free but a big corporation dont have that in their policy. That they only have 10, and they're usually unavailable anyway and oh you have to pay for them. Talk about Late stage capitalism. Is customer service an after thought here? (my main complaint). No updates till I called, waiting for a return call for 3 hours because he said he'd do that but apparently guy left for work already. Very irate right now because of the weather. it will be raining All week this Christmas holiday. 3) TLDR: I UNDERSTAND that delays can happen that may be out of employees hands, and I can TOLERATE corporate enshitification , but at LEAST give an update and be proactive. UPDATE: After posting my original review below on multiple platforms, the Sales Director publicly responded saying they were "deeply troubled" and wanted to understand what happened and help make things right. I followed up directly and provided a full summary of everything that occurred. After days of no response, my husband followed up again. When we finally heard back, we were told the only thing they could offer was to keep trying to find us a vehicle (something they've already claimed to be doing for months with zero results). More concerning was this statement from the Sales Director: "We need to decide if you'd like help or if you want to continue to post reviews... it won't be both." So to be clear -- after everything that happened their position is that they will only "help" if we stop sharing our experience publicly. At this point, it's clear the public responses are for optics only. Behind the scenes, there has been no real accountability, no meaningful effort to resolve the situation, and now an attempt to pressure us to stop leaving reviews. We made multiple good-faith efforts to resolve this directly with dealership leadership, including the GM and sales managers, and were ultimately ignored. Nothing about this experience has changed -- if anything, this follow-up interaction reinforces our original concerns. Do NOT buy from this dealership! read more

HORRIBLE!! They just want to take your money and have zero knowledge of what's wrong with your vehicle! I took my car for service, it stopped in the middle of the road on the way home. Got it towed back and they said something was wrong with my battery, I paid to replace it and whatever they recommended. On the way home from getting it "fixed" it stopped in the middle of the street again and was now told it was the starter. At this point I felt like they were just playing a guessing game. Of course I had to pay out of pocket. Once I got my car "fixed" the starter was making a noise and the Ac started malfunctioning. I took it in since they had just changed it and of course was told I had to pay a diagnostic fee. Finally got a "promotion" for the diagnostic and NOTHING WAS FOUND! They added something to the ac and that was it. The noise continued a few weeks later AC again stopped working and when I took it in they wanted to charge another "diagnostic fee" Absolutely ridiculous! I'm not shocked at all at the low rating for this car dealership. I would avoid at all costs. I went with the intention of purchasing a used vehicle and putting money down. They will tell you the online price and instead of subtracting they start INCREASING the price... if I'm coming with money down that would make the price decrease not increase. Two of the salesman were also extremely pushy and unprofessional right in front of me and my partner arguing over who would work with me to get a car. I went one time and shopped around then returned a month later and not only was the car I looked at still there (because they're greedy and want a huge commission payout) but the same pushy car salesman still tried to walk outside and work with me after calling, texting, emailing multiple times a day. I ended up going to another dealership and got the same car I was looking for and it was less mileage and a better asking price!!! Avoid Helmer and Korrollos by any means if you can. read more

I had 3 dealerships lined up to visit and Carson was the first one. Went there and Edward assisted me. Went over the specs of the car and we sat down to negotiate the price. Surprisingly, they accepted the first price I threw out. I heard Corvettes were moving slowly, so I guess they wanted to move the inventory. They moved the Corvette from the showroom to the side to wash her and put on the dealer installed options. After that, I went to finance to buy the Corvette and it was a painless process. My wife and I drove all the way down from Cupertino twice to purchase the Chevy Silverado 3500HD we saw advertised on Chevy's website. The first trip was Halloween weekend where we wanted to see the truck in person and take it for a test drive. We met Helmer (who I had been communicating with) and he seemed like a nice enough young guy. The second trip (this past weekend two weeks later) was to take one last look at the truck, see what they'd value my trade-in (a 2015 Toyota Highlander which we loved to death and never gave us any issues). When they were able to match the best offer we got from Toyota of Sunnyvale, we went ahead and finalized the deal for the truck. All was going well, until we got to signing the paperwork with their finance manager (Don Lee). He tried to speed us through the process as fast as he could so that we didn't have a chance to read the fine print of what we were signing. On two occasions, he tried to make us sign something that did not show the correct selling price for the truck (first time was about $2000 more, the second time the line was blank meaning he could fill it in later with whatever value he wanted). Luckily my wife (who reads fine print for a living) caught this both times. We made him hand write the correct value. As we went through the document process, we could see he was visibly annoyed that we were reading and going through everything with a fine toothed comb. A little later, we found out that there were almost $6000 in dealer installed accessories that we were never told about. We had to call in our sales rep to have him explain to us what all these were. They kept saying these are already installed and can't be removed from the price, but half of them were services (battery replacement, paint protection, etc.) that we knew could easily be removed. At that point, we just said f*ck it and signed the rest of the documents to finish up the process. So to sum this up, we drove more than 7 hours from Cupertino twice to buy this truck and a few times they tried to pull the wool over our eyes. We tried to ask for some freebies (a bed cover, keyfob covers, Chevy promotional swag, anything) since we made the long drive twice. They flat out said NOPE. Lesson learned. So to future buyers going to Chevy of Carson, BEWARE!! Make sure you have them explain every dollar amount shown, every dealer accessory installed, and go throug each document you sign with a magnifying glass, especially anything with a dollar amount! They will try to take advantage of you! read more
