I've used this station many times over the years as the gas prices are decent and it's on my way to my PO box. Today I went in to buy lottery tix and walked over to the side of the counter where the lottery tix machine is - #1 because I had a winning tix to check on the barcode reader and #2 because the window lottery signs (which show the jackpot amounts) were not working so I wanted to see the amounts on the small sign at the counter. I told the cashier that I wanted to but some tix. Lucy (at least that is the name she gave me), stood by the register and pointed her finger to where she wanted me to stand and said over here. So I moved to the spot in front of the cash register and gave her my winning tix. I told her I also wanted to buy some Quickpicks. Wow! I had no idea why the attitude but she asked me to repeat myself multiple times, was very indignant, slow and apparently hates her life! She placed my winnings and my new tix so far back on the counter that I had to bend down and reach under the plastic barrier to retrieve them. I said Thank You to which I got no reply. Maybe she is anti-asian. It's just a shame that she feels entitled to put her ugliness on Chevron's customers. read more

The female attended at this place was totally rude and obnoxious. It took me over 30 minutes to pump 20 gallons of gas. When I went in to say that it looked like there was something wrong with the pump, she told me it's cold outside so the gas freezes... Yeah right! Then the pump didn't stop when my tank was full and gas came pouring out all over everything. I went into tell her that the pump was obviously damaged and she totally ignored me. I stopped in today Friday August 14th to get gas. I' Pumped my gas at station 8 and when I was driving away my hands were covered with a red sticky substance. I been trying to call the station to let them know but they don't have a voicemail that set up. I scrubbed my hands as quickly as I could but the substance still won't come completely off. We went here so we can use the restroom but might as well get gas even though its more expensive than other gas stations. Gas here cost more than $3/gallon ($3.16 to be exact). And their bathroom is out of order. The employee manning the cashier, nonchalantly said "the bathroom's out of order. This station is ridiculous. Absolutely no coffee inside except for cold Starbucks drinks. They force people to pay $.50 to use the restroom. They refuse to turn on air pump unless you pay which is just flat out illegal. You keep nickle and dining your customers you're business is going to fail. read more

This is the SECOND time my credit card information has been stolen here and used right after I bought gas. There were four transactions on my credit card to different websites that added up to over $700, thankfully I caught it before they could charge it more. Something shady is going on. Please watch your credit card transactions after you come to this particular gas station. Gonna have to start using cash here only. I recommend everyone pays with cash. There are other reviews of the same thing happening to other customers of theirs. I think the workers here are all nice so I don't like leaving this review but it happened twice so I must speak the truth of what happened. I always check for card skimmers on the pumps so I know there wasn't any card skimmer on the pump. Therefore, an employee or the owner must be stealing our card information. Disgusting.... Last night, at around 11:30 pm, one of the pumps (no. 8) was not accepting my credit card. I went in to discuss the situation, and from the onset, the cashier was utterly belligerent and vulgar in attitude. His demeanor was "funky," to say the least. He insisted that there was nothing wrong and that someone before had used that particular pump with no problems and that it was my credit card that was faulty. I've been here many times before and never had any problems. I managed to get him out from behind the counter to check the pump (no.8). He kept on insisting that there was nothing wrong, even when I showed him that there was no response, when inserting my credit card. He started becoming that much more upset and vulgar and just wouldn't accept he was wrong. I then suggested we go to another pump and test to see if it was in fact my credit card and not the pump itself. When the other pump took my credit card, he still continued to insist that there was nothing wrong. He then basically blew his stack and began calling me an "American motherfucker." This cashier is lucky that I didn't call the cops on him, which I was prepared to do, had the situation escalated. Someday, someone is going to put a real hurting on this guy. The owner needs to fire him. He's a liability that could cost much in the way of legal hassles and money. I'm considering not going there again. When I called in the morning to complain, the cashier stated that the owner has no time schedule. I'm not sure if it was the same cashier. Stopped to fill up and went inside to use restroom. The guy that's pictured outside was inside on his phone and drinking coffee when I came in. He told me it's clogged up and I'm working on it so you can't use it quite rudely. I responded in the same manner telling him "you won't get far working on it if you're on your phone"! It's a family owned gas station, they have worked very hard to remodel the inside and are getting new products every day. The other reviews that complain about different gas prices are obviously people who do not take the time to read signs. I do take the time to read signs and they were always very clear. However they have changed to single price per gallon whether you pay cash or credit. And if you shop at Vons you can get up to 20 cents off per gallon. I'm paying $3.69 for diesel that's the cheapest I can get it anywhere. Great gas station read more

UPDATE: I've been avoiding this gas station since I posted that review 4 months ago... caved and went in today against my better judgment because I needed something quickly - brought my item to the cashier and she gave me a flat amount, no cents, without ringing the item up. Kind of like she knew the price, then randomly added tax to it and rounded up to the neatest dollar amount without any cents. The item should have been cheaper. Waited for her to scan the item, have the register do the math, give me a receipt, but she just said.. would that be all? Probably should have called her out to ring me up, but I came in expecting this and they're not worth the headache. First time back after avoiding it for so long and they haven't skipped a beat - still ignoring posted prices and jacking up prices for items at the register based on what amount the cashier comes up with. Was trying to use a gift credit card. Unfortunately for me, the girl behind the counter was this SMUG & sullen Armenian women with a pissed look about her. When I tried using the card and it didn't seem to work at first, she was ticked off that she had to run it several times before it finally cleared. "Customer service" is clearly not a word she understands. How these people even get to be franchisee owners is truly a mystery! This particular attendant had a "I'm smarter & better than you" type attitude. Customers should not be treated like this when you're paying top dollar for gas & services. Lady that works inside seriously needs to see a psychiatrist. Major attitude. Bitchy attitude. Worst customer service ever. My family and I filled up 2 of our SUVs which costs way over $100. 5 of us went inside the store to use the restroom. She says,"oh are you gonna buy anything?" Uh hello we are filling up. And she kept staring at us the whole time. Then she was talking to another employee saying, "our bathroom is brand new and don't want anyone trashing it." She's saying it loud making sure we hear it. This station is so great! My friend had recently lost her wallet and one of the men that worked there grabbed it and held on to it for her until she was able to pick it up and guess what.? The Chevron Gas Station (Corner of Clark Ave and Hollywood Way) Unfortunately I've not had any good experiences when purchasing gas from this station. The first time I went there someone fraudulently tried to use my debit car to get 50 dollars worth in gas. Thankfully my bank caught the fraud right away and it did not affect my account. The second time I went there (just this morning in fact 10-16-14) I did the routine of swiping the card and putting my information in. I started to pump the gas into my tank. There must have been a rip or tear in the pump because gas began to pour out all over my car. I immediately put the pump back and proceeded to tell the attendant of the pump failure. Lucy the gas attendant acted as if she was I was trying to rip her off, which confused me. It seemed as if I was bothering her and she did not seem to really care. When I asked if she would refund the spilt gas from the faulty pump she refused and said because I paid on the pump she could not do anything, she refused to add the refund to another pump for me. She also did not offer to help me or even give me a cloth to wipe my gas soaked hands off. Not only was I covered in gas (even in my shoes) but I was also forced to pay for the spilt gas from their faulty pump. She called whom I believe was her boss Salkco, but he too refused to compensate for their faulty machinery. I could not believe that the attendant was so completely careless and rude. She didn't even offer an apology. Thats customer service 101. I will not be returning to the gas station. I wasnt looking for a concession, I did expect them to do the right thing and refund the gas that was split and maybe care about the service that they are providing, perhaps that is too much to ask for. I highly suggest if you care about customer service and not getting soaked in gasoline, you will go to any of the other 5 gas stations in the 1/2 mile radius. There are two Shell stations as well as an Arco that I would recommend. Awful Service, Faulty Pumps, and someone tried to use my debit card... all in all this is a BAD GAS STATION! So I drive up around 6am to buy gas from this Chevron station. The gas-price sign with the Chevron name is lit up brightly; the card transaction screens on the pumps are on-line and ready to go; the convenience store is understandably closed; and lighting in the pump area is minimal (poor). I run my card through the reader on the pump and it goes through the typical questions like needing my zip code, etc.(which I do), and then the screen tells me to lift the handle, select a grade and pump my gas. I do all of these things, and the pump even acknowledges that I selected 87 octane. But when I pulled the handle to pump gas, THE PUMP DID NOT WORK! After checking another pump, I concluded that they left the pump COMPUTERS on, BUT THEY DID NOT TURN ON THE ACTUAL FUEL PUMPS that draw and pump gas. Also, their gas prices are about 10 cents (on average) above neighboring Chevron stations (like the one I finally went to for gas at Buena Vista (above Alameda). Most beautiful gas station in all of Burbank. I get my gas in the morning and the pretty young lady is so sweet and caring and goes above and beyond. She even went in her wallet when I was short 25 cents and told me don't worry as she covered me. Gestures like that can make an impact in such a positive way as she really makes my days. I only go there for my gas and would love to have a genuine conversation with the sweetheart when I see her inside as she is very educated! The older ladies are not so friendly but she deserves recognition! read more

Only stopped here because my gas light was on, and I desperately needed gas. Purchased just over a gallon of gas to get me to my usual fill up station. It was just over $5 and change. 3 hours later I decide to check and it states that I have spent $101 at this station. stay away if you are paying with a card. read more

This station ALWAYS holds a higher charge on my card then I actually spent. One time it was $85 for $20 worth of gas, this last time it was $100 for $30. It always takes 2-3 days for the right charge to appear. There is no reason for them to do this! If you need to use a debit card, I would definitely stay away! read more
