Apparently the owner hasn't been able to keep up with the place due to his age and health condition and has barely held on to the property in this economy hence the donation requests and cash only policy. Unfortunately the property will not be around for long and will be taken down and replaced by a Pilot Travel center. I encourage you to make stops here while you can & support this business. The man who attended us was pleasant and kind enough to share the history of this place. Restrooms were clean and functional and your basic gas station needs can be met here.

I Sent a check to pay property taxes, then realized it wasn't going to get their on time. Then decided to pay online. Called my bank to cancel the check. Tried to get a hold of kern county it's impossible. So I figured after countless times of trying giving up and assumed they might call me for the double payment like a normal common sense person. Nope no no boy was I wrong ! The person decided to cancel my online payment and cash the check that they received days later. Why in the world would they cancel the first payment ?? Why? Why? And try to cash the check? When the check was late ! I again tried calling the person was out on vacation. Well so I got the persons email and emailed them the huge mistake they made. Nope didn't bother to email me back or anything instead they sent me a bill with lates fees and check cancel fees. What the hell?? I called again and again they never answered. Finally I get a hold of them. Explained the situation, person could careless and that I need to pay all the extra fees or else they will be more added on. This county hires incompetent people. I don't think they have any type of degree or formal training, or even common sense. This office needs to work on customer service & needs classes on common sense. Tip: don't send checks, just pay online If you need to contact them, just go to the office. (Didn't Have this option because I live way too far) The phone number listed is useless.

We pulled to the side of the road to check and find out right tire was torn to shreds. Since we just brought the RV few weeks ago, we had no tools, jacks and not even an ordinary screwdriver. Around us there were the only farm, no person insight and no car on the road has stopped to help us. We called to a local tow company and they referred us to these super guys at Tire Zone! They responded immediately to our call. Miguel said that he would come out to help us change the tire on the road in 15 minutes. Within 10 minutes they came to the rescue! We were saved! Less than through 25 minutes we were on the way! The guys are working quickly and efficiently, at the highest level. Big thank you to Miguel and the guys!

Although we were about a 40 minute drive out, they came out very quickly and efficiently, informed us of their location, and found us without much trouble on our part. They replaced the tire quickly and even adjusted the pressure for the rest of our tires. We were back on the road within 15 minutes of their arrival! I ended up canceling the service a few minutes later because my driver was able to resolve the issue and CHP gave him the green light to leave. We were in a parking lot, as we pulled forward to leave, the ball joint on front driver side broke. The Payless drive came, he had full access to tow from the front or the back. He hooked it up from the back and just dragged it up the flatbed. You could see that the whole front was being damaged, even the drive got out to see, but decided to pull it up anyway. When the mechanic checked it out. he said the ball joint had broken, but the axe was also broken and the oils pan was smashed. He asked what happened to cause all the damage. I told him what had happened. The mechanic said the town guy said we had been driving down the road at full speed. THAT WAS A LIE. The mechanic said, MOST OF THE DAMAGE ($2,650) WAS CAUSED BY THE IMPROPER TOW. The manager at Payless said she would check with the owner. After a month of follow up calls, they would not even refund the $110 tow fee! I WILL NEVER USE PAYLESS TOWING AGAIN, they are CARELESS and UNPROFESSIONAL, they CAUSED MY CAR MOST OF THE DAMAGE!
