Looks like I'm not the only to have a run in with this place. Pulled up around 9:45 pm and the door was locked with a customer waiting. We both watched as the attendant picked up trash one piece at a time, ignoring us. After 5 minutes he finally sighed and asked if we wanted gas. Well yeah. Then asked if we were paying by credit card. Then said he was on break and was busy with trash. I was done at that point and said I was going to another station. The attendant starting yelling at me so I yelled back. I asked for his name 3 times but he said it was none of my business. I've lived in willow glen 20+ years and gotten gas here plenty of times. Last year when my wallet fell out of my car as I was filling up, the lady working at the counter picked it up and put it in the safe until I realized and came back (all the cash was still there!). I've never been yelled at or harrassed here so that's something this spot has over other gas stations (even in the immediate area), but the pumps at this Chevron are the slowest, most temperamental I have ever used to put fuel in my car. I get it - patience is a virtue and I have literally gone out of my way to patronize this gas station when necessary so I don't have to play a guessing game as to whether or not I'm going to be catcalled or bothered in some other way by random crazies elsewhere - but it is sincerely a displeasure for these pumps to take so long when you're just trying to get 30 bucks worth of gas and you're there 10+ minutes. read more

I never thought I'd review a gas station, but my experience was so infuriating I have to make this known. I am 4 weeks post- reconstructive foot surgery. On crutches, can't bear any weight. (It's my left foot so I'm able to drive.) My understanding is California law requires gas stations to provide full service to the handicapped. This information was posted by the front door of this Chevron station. When I arrived, I pulled in front of the pump with the handicapped sign, and honked for assistance just as the sign instructed. I honked several times but the attendant ignored me. Finally after waving my handicap placard and yelling for help he finally opened the door. I explained why I needed help, showed my crutches and placard, and he looked at me like a deer caught in the headlights, not saying a word. I said 'hey, I'm handicapped and I really need your help.' He finally mumbled 'I only do what I'm told'. I was almost out of gas and had no choice, so I struggled out of the car with crutches, managed to grab the pump and hop to my car to fill it. This was risky. He didn't bother to notice or acknowledge how badly I was struggling. I left the pump on the asphalt and drove away with my middle finger flying high. As I think about it now, the man was probably low intellect/borderline retarded. Is he qualified to be the only attendant at a gas station in Willow Glen? Never ever ever going back. Stopped here last night for gas and to get some beverages for the road with my family. I ended up getting a bottle of Diet Coke that didn't taste right. Upon inspection of the expiration date on it, it was had an expiration date of April 14, 2014 (5 months ago). We were already too far down the road towards our next destination to go back and complain, so we didn't. Do they not rotate their stock? I wonder what else they sell that is old.... read more

Credit card fraud!!! I tried to use my Amex here, got an error message, I figured they didn't accept it, so I canceled and then used a Mastercard. All went fine I thought. Then when I got home I got a message from American Express saying there was a charge for $100! Obviously I denied the charge, but watch out! read more

Best gas station in Willow Glen. It's conveniently located on the way to hwy 87 and it is always clean and the pumps are always serviced. It is never super busy and I've never had to wait at the pump. It's the only station that I use. Chevron gas is probably the most superior. read more

My aunt lives 3 blocks away from the gas station and my mother lives about 10 blocks on Settle street. I think the neighborhood is safe but gas is a little pricey. What I don't understand is why still there? They should move to the other corner of the street where there are no residences but small businesses. They remodeled a gas station that used to be there but now is empty. Chevron should move to that location and sell the current one so a developer can build houses at least 4. The shop has been closed for a few years, I took my car there several years ago. They were very nice. But they should move. Just one time had a bad experience with the pumps and it was at night. read more

They close way to early. I got there 5 mins before closing time and the cashier was locking up the pumps I asked him if I could pump some gas because I was on E. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!!! My AMEX card was charge 3 times until I finally received my lousy $20 in gas. I only put $20 in gas because I was in an extreme HURRY! That made no difference to the lady behind the counter who was thrown off by the situation. She proceeded to tell me that two of the three charges were cancelled and I will have it back to my card. HA! I told her that's not the way it works when you pay inside. Checked my account and I had two charges go through and one is on hold which I am sure I will get returned. Just called and s/w the guy working the evening shift and tells me that I have to call my bank and dispute the charges! Really? It was YOUR ERROR and now I have to waste my time to get a lousy $20 back! Seriously? That was the best answer he could come up with.
