I don't know why they have 3 dudes working at the pumps if not a single one of them isn't going to pump my gas when I pull up instead stare and walk away then come back and ask if "| got it" after I was already putting in my card information with the gas pump in the car. I have never been to Seaside before, and going down in my car eventually it needs to eat too as the light was getting low. This gas station was close to my hotel, and it is an odd place, right along the Oregon Coast Highway and South Holladay Drive, it's a fork in the road location. So I pulled up in the empty spot.. and remembering this is Oregon... I stayed in my car, as this State has no self-serve. Jacob, our cool service attendant came by to help pump my gas. As I was planning to drive down to Canon Beach, and I am very far away from home, I might as well ask the locals how to get there, and what else to do around this area. Jacob was very friendly, telling us he just moved here but gave us tips on going along the road, and other stops we should hit up, all while having my gas filled, and running around from car to car filling their gas as well (this guy was hustling hard) and everytime checking in with me and adding another place that me and my dear should hit up. It was a very pleasant experience, not used to speaking to my gas attendant, but if this gas station was around where I lived I would go just for the service. In the end he even asked me if I could help him change up a $10 Canadian bill, cause it's no use to him around these parts, I happily obliged and can see that this guy deserves a tip! This might not be the absolute cheapest gas in town, but it's pretty close and convenient as you enter town from Portland. What I really like about this station is that you can pump you own gas! Yes, some law passed where the rural cities that the pumps are open 24hrs, you can pump your own gas. I'm just used to it. The nozzles don't have that stupid CA hose thingy that's a pain to deal with, I love it. I trust Chevron gas so I know I'm getting high quality fuel. This was an easy in and out to get gas. read more

Stopped at this little store to pick up some feminine hygiene products for my daughter that started her period unexpectedly. She asked the woman very politely if there was a restroom available and she said no. I explained the situation and she told us to, "drive four blocks down the road... there's public restrooms there." It is unreasonable to treat a child with such little regard. She made an already stressful, embarrassing situation worse. Unfortunately, I will never come back. Stop by the shell station instead. Friendly, kind attendants. The gentleman even looked in his personal vehicle to see if his wife left some in her car to just give to us. Take my advice, it isn't worth the stop. read more

I've never Yelped a gas station before! But this one deserves grateful mention. Since moving to Oregon, where it is illegal to pump ones own gas, I've gotten lazy. I never get out of my car, anymore, unless I need to clean my windshield (which many cool service attendants will do, free of charge -- I always tip for this). So because I recently had my car serviced at the local Honda dealership, and they informed me they rotated the tires, I neglected to check my tire pressure before driving to the coast. (Besides, I can't find my tire pressure gauge anywhere.) The service attendant, Dave, noticed that our tires were low, and told us so. Then he directed us over to the air pump and filled the tires to proper inflation, chatting amiably all the while. I tipped him $5 (which is about what he saved me in gas on the drive home) -- he looked genuinely surprised. Dude, it's the least I could do -- THANK YOU! read more

My husband and I were looking forward to a nice campfire during our stay in Seaside. We went to Dels Chevron bought 2 bundles of wood ($8.00 each bundle) and headed back to our camp. We tried all night to light the wood on fire, but it was unseasoned wood and wouldn't start. So sadly no fire that night and it was pretty cold since it was 12/22/23. My husband wanted to try and get our money back (we still had a bundle and a half left). So we stopped by on our way out of town just let them know that the wood was green and that who ever is supplying the wood is selling you green wood and not seasoned. The Manager was unapologetic and really didn't care that the wood was green. I had my receipt but still they said they wouldn't refund money on wood. Then we said politely that you may want to check the wood so another customer isn't disappointed when buying wood there. In other woods, DON'T BUY THE WOOD THERE! read more

Not a lot to say because it's a gas station except that it was a *good* gas station. The bathrooms were nice and actually clean. And they had the usual stuff but also kale chips, fresh juices, macro bars and other healthy eats so that I could grab something that wouldn't make me feel sad while driving. read more

Easy in and out access on Hwy 101 for RV and trailers. Propane service with a mini grocery store inside. Quality products and decent prices. We did not get any food but they have a full section of deli foods and fresh cooked fried chicken smelled delicious. The customer service was excellent at the pumps and inside. read more

I've never been treated so shabbily in my life as a customer. I've been a regular here for a while now and probably have spent more money than your average tourist. Here's what happened: I came in on a day like any other to buy some of the incense they sell and get a can of sparkling water. Well, I left the can over by the incense and didn't realize until after I'd left that I had done so. I was on my way home when I went to take a drink and realized that I'd left it there. For some reason I thought I'd already paid for it--I only remembered later after the horrible scene went down). So I go back, run inside and say to the clerk that I forgot my drink, is it ok to just go back and grab another one ? I'm expecting her to say "oh no problem hahahaa" right ??? Like a business does with someone they KNOW, that comes in there ALL the time, right ? I automatically start to walk back there and the manager comes out of her lair and is all "JUST A MINUTE" Holding up a finger like authoritatively (like I'm a child) and starts going through the transactions as if I'm some scammer and not a regular FRIENDLY customer which she KNOWS I am not. And frankly I was offended. I was raised by the kind of parent who would return 30 cents over change to a store and I don't appreciate my integrity called into question like this. So I tell her so and she says to me, and I quote "ITS NOT ALL ABOUT YOU. YOU NEED TO BE PATIENT". I was floored truthfully. I couldn't believe she was talking to me like this, so I told her so and she said "If you speak again you are going to be 86ed, YOU NEED TO WAIT WHILE I LOOK UP YOUR TRANSACTION". How this individual became a manager I have NO idea, but I've been in the industry since I was 14 and was ALWAYS taught to just make it right and not argue with the customers. If I had treated a customer the way this manager treated me this day I would have been fired on the spot. Usually corporate sorts these kinds of things out, but all the young kid on the phone could say was they give the owner 10 days to respond to a complaint and this owner DIDNT...AT ALL...so all I got back was an email basically saying "Welp ! sorry but the owner didn't respond and there is nothing we can do. I'm sorry you had this experience" Just wow. All I can say now is that Its a good thing they aren't the only gas station/convenience store in town and incense can be had over the internet. I will not spend another dime EVER in this horrible place and I hope to God I never see this manager on the streets because there will be words for sure. read more

It is always hard to know where to fill up the car on the coast before the long drive back to Portland. From Cannon Beach, you can either head south to Manzanita to one small station or north to Seaside which has a few options. We chose Del's Chevron since it is the largest and uses the Safeway points system. Although pricing out the smaller stations, it appears that Del's ran about $.06/gallon more than those other stations. The attendant was friendly and there is a mini mart, for convenience items before the drive. read more

After I filled my truck with gas, I went into the attached store to make some purchases. I asked the female clerk where the restroom was. She replied "We don't have any." What about those I asked. The clerk said "for employees only." When I asked do you know where there are available restrooms? She said "I don't have to tell you that!" Keep in mind I spent about 100.00 filling my tank and this witch got snippy with me! For your information snippy woman and station owner, YOU ARE VIOLATING OREGON SENATE BIll 277 (Ally's Law). People with a medical condition must have access to a restroom regardless if you arbitrarily designate them as EMPLOYEE ONLY. You are breaking the law. Your snarky female working in the store needs some customer service training as well. What a mean and nasty person. All of this bad treatment after spending 100.00 in your business. Stopped in for $10 of gas. The kid pumping the gas repeated the amount then set the gas flowing and walked away. I had to call him back to shut it off when I saw that it was passing $29. When I asked to talk to the manager to see about getting the situation fixed, rather than even talk to either my wife or myself, she called the police and had them ban us from using the station ever again without even attempting to fix the problem caused by a station employee. Don't use cards to pay here, they will over pump. Don't expect them to fix their mistakes either, it'll just get the police called on you. read more

Del's Chevron has Long been an important part of the Seaside community. The original owner, Del Folk, helped so many young men, employing and trusting them; ME for one! I worked there in the late 60's. I was a wild child, like any living teen, yet Del looked past my short comings, and just supported me. We even had to wash some UPS trucks! But Del was ALWAYS gentle, kind, and forgiving of our youthful short comings. Plus I have learned through fact based research that Chevron gasoline, due to their refinery additives, is the best fuel you can currently buy for your motor vehicle. I am a Harley Davidson Technician, retired ASE Certified dealership technician, and Service Manager of a 3 brand dealership in the Portland area. I do know my stuff. I understand Del's daughter runs it now, though I have not seen her, or her brother Jimmy since they were young children. But I DO know Del Folk, and suspect he instilled his values and virtues in his children. Cost per gallon? Chevron charges Del more per gallon. He has the same profit margin as the snake oil gas stations where fools waste their money and damage their cars. You pay for what you get. Dollar Tree shoppers need not apply! This is a locally owned service station. It hasn't been there a hundred years but in my lengthening life I can't remember when it wasn't there. A different generation owns it now. The service bays are now a convenience store. You still pull up to the pump, hand your card to the attendant and get gasoline. The price was the highest in town but another station now wants that honor. What keeps me coming, in addition to it being local, is that I had a battery problem and needed a quick boost. Without complaint and without cost the battery was brought back to life. I haven't had bad service and know I have had extra service. read more

I use to frequent Del's Chevron in Seaside, OR but since the sudden change in staff I do not go there anymore. The gas attendants in the afternoon are slow, and do not pay attention. As far as going into the store, I use to like going in there and chatting up the ladies but the new crew is horrid, who wants to hear such bad language and inappropriate topics. This use to be the best place to go to for gas just because of the staff made it worth while, now its garbage. If I do go there, I go in the mornings when Steve is working, he's outstanding! read more

I am a long time local of seaside and have lived here for many years. When I was informed that chevron is now taking Safeway rewards it became my new Gas, cigarette, and go to mini mart. One of the gas attendants is awesome he has a southern accent and always a huge smile on his face. Not to mention he always gives my pup a doggy bone. I frequented chevron 3 to 4 times a week. A few nights ago my husband and I made our regular stop to get gas and snacks and lucky me my favorite gas attendant was working and was his normal happy self which put a smile on my face. While we were getting our gas pumped we decided to go in and grab some snacks as we walked in we greeted the cashier who almost immediately looked annoyed that we were there my husband asked him a question about a product and was ignored. With in the last few months coke started putting people's names on they're soda bottles so while in there I was looking thru the bottles trying to locate my name immediately the cashier came over and yelled at me he was extremely rude I have never been treated so bad in my life at a place of business. As long as that man is working I will never step foot in that store he was awful. Besides him and his awful attitude this is a great chevron with great employes. read more
