Clean & comfortable stay. Very convenient location. My well behaved pit bull appreciated the hospitality as well.

Seaside is not one of my favorite Thousand Trails parks, however it has so much to do and has…read moreshopping close by. I give it 4 stars for this reason. We are full time travelers and it's all about what there is to see and do close by that is important to us. This is a high use park so you have to book early otherwise it's hard to get into. We have never had problems getting into park by doing this. Check in went quickly, staff was friendly and helpful. We checked in on Tuesday found a few sites to choose from. We only looked in the section that has a manned ranger station. We found a fhu 30 amp site with extra space by it. The section has a small lodge, small dog park and laundry room/ bathroom. This building could really use new siding and a coat of paint. The section across the road has a lodge, inside pool, sports court. The road leading to it is very pretty but the sites themself are close together part of them do not have trees around them. As I said this park is all about location. Day trips to Astoria, Seaside beach, Town of Cannon Beach, Tillamook Cheese Factory, Museums, all the different State and National Parks. And of course all the beautiful beaches. Cell service on our AT&T in the park was okay but was iffy during high use times for streaming. Verizon hotspot worked as well but had some issues during high use times as well. We will continue to visit this park while in the area.

Like many we made our reservation well over 1/2 year in advance to meet up with old friends. We…read morewere book side by side, but when we arrived we were on different rows. We couldn't even see them from our site. "Not fun after planing all year to spend some time together." And talking to the people in the office was like trying to make a plea to an AI Bot. As a full timer for MANY years, I see more parks doing this to steer people toward a $20 or more "Lock In Fee." On top of all the other "BOOKING" and hidden fees. From them Mid-West over toward the East, this is almost unheard of. Many parks list their price with all the fees ad taxes applied. Nothing Hidden or added. On the West Coast the fees raise the price enormously. Which after owning and running a park for almost 20 years, is just a money grab, (Which this park specializes in.) Like other reviewers here, I had a part that was needed and I placed an Amazon order BEFORE I got there. (It was almost 3 envelopes size.) Then you get there and you are told that there is a $10 fee or they hold your packages hostage. I saw nothing about that when making the reservation. Then the Amazon package was changed to USPS. When it was delivered. I only got 2 items, and was later told that the driver forgot one on the truck and delivered it the next day. Despite telling two employees this. I had to pay $10 to get the second very small package. Absolutely HORRIBLE customer relations!!!!! They extorted more money out of me than the cost of the items. The place is gated, which is a good thing after you see the neighborhood you have to drive through to get to it. And apparently there is an add on fee for 50 AMP that they don't tell you about. The whole experience would just leave a bad impression with anyone. And there's more, but read the other review and disregard those you think might be from management and employees.

I am not sure of the bathroom /shower situation, but the owner did tell me that there was showers that took quarters and not for very long- We had our own bathroom so there was not a need for that. There are full hook ups, but no cable at the time we visited, but the WiFi wasn't too bad. Spaces were reasonable. You have a picnic table and a fire ring. Most of the people there live there, but everyone pretty much kept to themselves. We were in space 6 and had a fun chatty neighbor with a kitty. Like I said, lets keep the area weird. This isn't like a commercial park, so no set or established rules, but I think you can use your own common sense on what you should and should not do. The park was very quiet but there literally is no cell signal so no way to call out so I would keep that in mind. This is also a lot further away from Astoria. I say, if you want quiet and away from it all, this is perfect. If you want to be near town in the thick of it or closer, not for you. Overall, a nice and place and pretty laid back. I'd go back.

Oh where to begin…read more First of all, this place is awful pretty. The spaces between RV's spots are decently spaced out and the campgrounds are well kept. The cons wildly outmatch the pros. This is basically on the managers property. There are no rules posted. No receipts given. And certainly no respect to those of who are different. Let me explain. My husband and I are in a same-sex relationship. We had been relocating to Astoria and we had been moving from site to site to site, from campground to campground to campground, in Warrenton every 2-3 days at this time given that we were their during the height of summer (i.e. tourism) until we could find a home. We were told by my brother-in-law about this place. We thought...great! Turns out the owner allows month-to-month space rentals during the summer. Awesome right!? About a few days after we arrived the owner asked for some contact information for us. When my husband wrote down my name...he asked if "Ricky was a girl." My partner replied, "No, that's my husband." Effectively ending that conversation rather quickly with the owner and awkwardly. We are traveling with the two dogs and the owner was aware of this. People seem to have dogs here all the time. Unattended. Barking. However, it seemed like we were singled out for some things that I will list below that involved our dogs. My mother-in-law came down to visit and and came by the trailer to pick up a few things while we were at work. The dogs were barking for like a minute. My dogs hardly ever bark, but given that it was her vehicle that was parked in our driveway that they didn't recognize...I would say that's typical dog behavior. The wife of the owner decided to scold my mother-in-law stating something along the lines that "they can't behave like that." My mother-in-law explained what she was doing there and why they were barking. However, the owner's wife replied, "I know, I've been watching you." Seriously!? What a weird thing to say. Was she concerned that she was stealing something? Because funny enough no one called us concerned about her being there. This next incident we will take some responsibility for. We both work in Astoria and our dogs got out of the trailer. I am not sure if I forgot to lock the door, the dogs somehow unlocked the door, or in the worse case scenario someone was trying to get into our trailer and fiddling with the lock (I never leave my doors unlocked). I don't know what happened. The fact is that they got out and I apologized for that when the owner called to alert me and said I would leave work and take care of it as soon as I could (I got there like 20-25 minutes after I had called him back). However, instead of trying to be sympathetic or understanding at all the owner decides to scold me that the dogs are NEVER to be left unattended even in the trailer by themselves and that he somehow communicated that with us. This guy couldn't give us a consistent rent price for the month...now he saying he told us we couldn't even leave them in the trailer when they have water and the windows are open? I've stayed at KOA, Kampers West, and Fort Stevens. None of them had this policy. I asked him, "well what am I supposed to do what when both of us have to work?" He said quite angrily, "I don't know!". He left me no choice, but to take my dogs with me in my small Toyota Corolla where they stayed while I worked IN THE MIDDLE OF SUMMER until we finally got to Kampers West. We didn't have another place lined up for a week and we didn't want to get kicked out. Plus, he couldn't care less. I am lucky enough that my employer allowed me for a whole week to take extra breaks so I could give my dogs some water and take them for a walk. We ultimately left a week or so earlier than we had to, because we couldn't stand the stares we were getting or the way we had been treated up until that point. We didn't even ask for a refund. Why bother? Oh and one last thing...when I am sleeping in the morning I would highly prefer if the owner doesn't blast Rush Limbaugh radio while he's working on his property right outside my travel trailer. I should've known from then on that he was sending us a message. That we weren't welcomed here.
