I was running out of gas today and this happened to be the closet gas station. The positive thing about this gas station is that its right next to the freeway so it makes it easy for anyone who is running out of gas to be able to stop by here for a quick refill. It has a small store inside which makes it nice to if you are hungry or thirsty you can garb something to eat or drink, its not a big selection like the ones that have the extra mile but its pretty small . The price seems to be more expensive out over here as well. But when you are on empty you have no choice but to fill in the closet location. read more

Multiple pumps at this location are not properly maintained. The fuel pumps release fuel very slowly and they don't stop when your fuel tank limit has been reached. I have tested their pumps with various vehicles at different pumps at this location. These malfunctions compromise the safety of their customers. While fuel pumps at other gas stations have received upgrades, this Chevron in the heart of Downtown WC is still stuck in the 2000s or whenever these pumps were introduced. Soooo, I went in to buy a gas can and gas for my friend in need. The attendant Jeany Lynn was of NO HELP. She was really rude and had so much attitude. This was the first time I had been in a situation like this and needed assistance. Instead of assisting me after I purchased the gas she switched pumps on me. Thank goodness for the kindness of strangers!! When we were finished with the gas, Jeany told us to "Google" how to dispose of the tiny bit of gas left that wouldn't fit in the tank. She then told my friend not to dump the gas in the restroom when she was JUST trying to wash her hands! I'm trying to figure out how a gas station attendant works at a gas station but doesn't know where to dispose of gas. It's an unsafe situation honestly. read more

i guess the day has finally come for me to review a gas station! what'll it be next, an intersection? a radio station? a grocery store? (oh wait, that's actually my next review...) all ribbing aside, i've noticed that this gas station is consistently lower in price than the two stations i pass on my way to work in emeryville, and it's a big name (not some generic brand you've never heard of), and you don't have to pay cash to get a lower price. now that gas is nearing $3.50 a gallon again, these things really make a difference. oh and there are 4 or 5 bays with lots of space in between, which also adds to the overall experience. i try to go to this gas station whenever possible. read more

It's a gas station. Chevron prices are usually a little higher than other stations, but this one seems to be the most convienent one for me to visit. A huge plus for them is that they seem to carry Mountain Dew Pitch Black in those rare instances that Pepsi brings itself to squeeze some out of it's mighty production facilities. read more

Crazy "Chevron" policy that you can only purchase a certain amount of products/merchandise on a credit card. Over a certain amount, I was informed that I would need to use a debit card or cash. This seems like a real scammy practice. I won't buy anything here ever again. read more

If I could do zero stars I would! I am here right now, tried buying myself some smokes, I am 32 Years old. I accidentally left my current license at the Chevron at Treat and Clayton in Concord and they destroyed it before I had a chance to go pick it up. So I am using my most current license. Told the older man working what happened to my other one and that he could call them to confirm it. He still refused to sell to me. I haven't had any problems with any other places with the license I'm using. I used to come here quite frequently for gas and smokes, especially during the summer when we take our boat out. Now I will never come back here! I don't look younger than legal age and offered to show them other things proving it's me but that still wasn't good enough for me. To the store manager, I understand having to be strict over this but when someone doesn't look young and has a legitimate reason that could have been confirmed with another Chevron station and I had multiple other things proving I am over 18, that should be good enough. So now you guys have lost hundreds of not thousands of dollars in gas, smokes, drinks, etc just for the few months of summer alone! Plus the money spent here during other months of the year! I was going to purchase gas as well at this station but instead I will get gas somewhere else tomorrow. Never will return! That man and woman working right now have no business working with the public! They are very rude, not personable, never greet nor smile at customers.
