The coolant leak is from an auxiliary radiator. I drive a CTS-V, so its not your basic cooling system. They were honest with me and said they have never changed that system on a V and wouldn't feel comfortable doing so. They could have easily just winged it just to get my money. But, they were honest about it and didn't even charge me for diagnosing the issue since they couldn't work on it. Definitely taking my other cars here when they need something.

They are honest and, in my opinion, absolutely number one. They have always been more than fair in pricing, but even more than that, they have always been straightforward with my vehicles have never pressured me to do anything that I didn't feel was necessary. They've always been good to give me a plan for what might need attention down the road, but never tried to sell me on service I didn't need. Never once have I ever felt like I've been taken advantage of. That goes the same for my wife. I have a classic 1997 Ford F150 and about four years ago I got some brake-work done by another mechanic in town. When I got the vehicle back, the brakes were worse than before! After going back multiple times to make it right, I finally washed my hands and walked away. I went to TWO other recommended mechanics after that to tried to get the situation correctly diagnosed and resolved. Both places said nothing was wrong even after a test drive with me in the vehicle each time. I started to think that it was just the fact that my truck was older. But after going to honest-1 for other things like oil changes and some engine work, I told them about my brakes situation. They took a look and found the problem in no time. And in just a few hours, they had me back on the road and now my brakes work beautifully!! Smooth and controlled! Just like they're supposed to be. Anthony and the team at Honest-1 are phenomenal. I was there only for emissions testing, yet they attempted to upsell additional services and inspected my air filters without my consent regardless of me telling them I was pressed for time. When I raised concerns, the staff became rude, loud, and condescending, despite me explaining that I needed the emissions test completed urgently and I made it clear THAT WAS MY ONLY FOCUS. The woman at the front counter named Julissa called me "crazy" while I had my AirPods in and and then followed me outside, telling me to "be safe driving" in a very nasty way after I stated I would be filing a complaint and made it clear I would never return. This lady literally followed me outside to my car harassing me. Afterwards, she filed a false police report, claiming I made a threat simply because she did not want me to report their poor service to Groupon. This behavior is unacceptable; misleading business practices, harassment, and making false accusations are not okay. I will be pursuing this matter further legally, especially after seeing they were suspended for vehicle inspection and are on a Disciplinary Action Report for Inspectors!

I didn't think much of it until I returned the car for an inspection and they told me thier equipment could not bring up any codes. (They told me the battery must have been recently disconnected but it has not been touched.) Thier equipment to fix the ABS issue and even to do a simple inspection is innoperable. I didn't realize this until the second visit. Then they made me pay for thier equipment not working. Basically, blaming me for thier inability to do the work.

The mechanic, Willie, was rude and appeared frustrated, tried to pressure me about brakes I didn't request, and repeatedly called me approximately four times back-to-back, even texting me while I was still at the shop -- luckily, I keep unknown callers on silent. They put the wrong oil (5W20 instead of the required 0W20, which is stamped on my oil cap) into my car without asking. I immediately called my usual mechanic, who confirmed that using the wrong viscosity can damage my engine. The oil filter was changed at the same time, meaning it now contains the wrong oil and should be replaced again, but the shop refused to do so. To make matters worse, the owner (I assume) tried to grab my receipt and nervously laughed when I took a picture documenting the mistake. They even left my car running with the windows down after the error was "corrected," creating a safety risk. This shop is careless, disrespectful, and clearly assumes women customers don't know anything about their cars. Women are fully capable of reading manufacturer recommendations and recognizing when something isn't right. I will never return and strongly caution others. I now have to closely monitor my vehicle to ensure it was corrected properly. Willie claimed he was "trying to help," but disregarding manufacturer recommendations is completely unacceptable. For the safety of both your vehicle and your sanity, I strongly advise going somewhere else.

While I am not a certified mechanic, I have replaced fan belts myself and am well aware that the cost and complexity of such a repair do not justify that price. To make matters worse, she was also quoted an exorbitant fee for the replacement of an air filter--an extremely simple task that typically takes no more than two minutes to complete. It's disheartening to see what appears to be a clear case of opportunistic overcharging, possibly based on the assumption that a woman wouldn't question the pricing. Shame on you. Actions like this erode trust and reflect poorly on your business. While karma has a way of addressing injustices in due time, the immediate consequence is that you have lost a long-standing customer--someone who had been loyal to your establishment for years.
