I've been going to Chevy's for years and it's never ever a disappointment. However, I recently went on July 5th the and had the very best customer service experience EVER by my waiter, RONNY. Shout out to Ronny for providing ten star excellent service!!! Ronny was extremely professional, courteous, considerate and attentive. He made sure that all our needs were met. And when we asked for additional food and drinks, he made sure to get them immediately and everything was on point, accurate! Nothing in the order was wrong. Everything from the appetizers to the end desserts were provided in a timely fashion and always with a smile. He always made sure to ask if we liked what was served, and if there was anything else needed. He offered sufficient containers for our leftovers and not once did I have to wait for anything. What a great hire Chevy's! Way to go! Love the food, the ambiance, the experience and lovely staff. Even the female Hispanic manager walked around asking if everything was to our satisfaction. I'll never stop going here. Love it. Highly recommend this Chevy's!

Place is ok , nothing to brag about , we had the grilled salmon and it was a little dry so that was a bit disappointing. Beer was super cold but I feel like we had to be repeating ourselves to the bartender and that was annoying . Not to mention we sat there for about 5 minutes before she noticed us . Place was pretty empty so we shouldn't have to wait . Cool and creative chandelier.. aside from that I don't think we'll be going back j . Place was pretty empty for a Friday night . Not impressed

Went for cinco de mayo busy but still great fast service. Got some free beads and a cooler. Haven't been here in a few years. But staff and food still hot and fresh. Definitely will go again sooner.

Crispy Chicken Flautas - Dinner

I haven't been here in a while because the last time I visited (over 1 year ago), it was not the best experience. When I walked in with my mother last night, for a quick bite to eat, I was IMPRESSED! Complete 180 in all the BEST ways. The place was immaculate, it was busy, and we were seated and taken care of immediately. The food came out fast, fresh, and HOT (not lukewarm because it was sitting under a heat lamp). But the star of the show last night was our server Adrian. My mother and I were raving about him. He came over to our table right away (even though his section was packed), came over numerous times to see how we were, how our food was, and if we needed anything else, and it was an overall great experience! We will be back! It was a great start to the new year! The street corn and chicken flauta dinner is always our fave!

Today was a good day. It was almost closing but they still served us. We had a few flights. Birria tacos and the flautas. It was a great way to end the night.

I have never had a bad visit to Chevy's. Their booths are always comfortable and, if you decide to eat by the bar, you'll have multiple televisions, in order to watch that day's popular sporting event(s). Since I'm so addicted to their AMAZING salsa, I had to ask our awesome Server, Israel, to give us A LOT more. He generously brought back a much appreciated salsa container, almost the size of my hand! My Piña Colada was very good, creamy, and served in a tall glass. Every entree was VERY GOOD (Quesadilla Burger, Surf & Turf, and Chicken Tacos). All had fresh ingredients and all were throughly enjoyed. I will continually return to Chevy's and am certain, that they will satisfy your every craving.

Chicken tortilla soup, so small

All I wanted was chicken tortilla soup and the only place I could find open that had it available was here. $7.50 for an extremely small cup, they must serve more if you're dining in. AND not even filled up all the way. So disappointed. Also the description said avocado, and there was none. Not to mention the dirty cup that's damaged. Ugh, hope this doesn't make me sick and wasn't old or stored incorrectly. This was my first time eating at chevys and probably be the last. Not worth it at all.

I met a woman that told me her son, Brett worked at Chevy's and to go visit him ask and ask for Brett and tell him that his mama sent him. About a week or so later I went there I asked for Brett and they told me he was working, and I asked to be seated by him. I explained to him that his mama sent me and he had a huge smile in his face. His service was suburb. Very nice and he suggested several types of mock tails and cocktails. I ordered the deep fried ice cream. That I had two years ago and was craving it. However, they brought it back. They told me it was taken off their menu so therefore it was a little different because I tasted the difference immediately, they now put oats in it, which they didn't previously, and the presentation was not as nice as 2/3 years ago. See pictures. However it still was good. I just prefer the one from several years ago. I also met the bus boy. His name was Michael. He was a very sweet, respectful young man. I told the manager how great they both were and he thanked me. I would definitely recommend this place and if you could ask for Brett, he will give you good service. The ambiance is nice and what I had was good. I had the dessert, margarita which was delicious, chips, guacamole, and salsa sauce, as I wasn't very hungry cause I had gone out to lunch previously. I recommend this place as it's a fun place. The food is good, ambience is good and so is the service. The only thing they need to fix is the dessert. I recommend this place and you won't be disappointed.

Chicken Quesadilla.

I have been to Chevy's many times and really enjoyed the food and service. Tonight was a different story. The service left a lot to be desired. The server did not write anything down- which would have been admirable had he remembered anything. We had to wait awhile to give our drink order and waited even longer to get them. We had to repeatedly ask for things. At one point he said that he didn't forget to bring the salsa, he was too busy! We waited for our food and I was not impressed with my quesadilla. It was hardly filled and the two end pieces had nothing inside. Because it has always been very good, I will give it another try and hopefully it will be back to being a place I like.

Incredible place! We got a margarita flight, the perfect choice to try different flavors. The food was amazing, we got an appetizer and a combo and we couldn't finish! There was a lot of food and very delicious. Our waitress was really funny and gave an excellent service. I would definitely come back for the different events that go on every week. The ambiance is great to spend time with friends and do something different during the week.

The guacamole didn't taste fresh at all and the chicken in the flautas had no flavor. For dinner, I had the enchiladas suizas. The chicken was the same chicken used in the flautas aka flavorless and the tomatillo "salsa" did not taste like salsa at all. It actually tasted more like the "avocado mousse" that the flautas were drenched in. My husband had the carnitas michoacan and he said they were just okay/super greasy/wouldn't get them again. Both our meals were supposed to come with rice and beans, but they only bought one side for us to share. When I looked around the restaurant, it seemed like they only bring one side per table regardless of party size. This to me is a rip off especially since this place is pricey. My 2 year old was also with us and we got him chicken fingers and fries from their very limited kids options. When I asked if he can have rice and beans instead of fries, they said no. You're a Mexican restaurant - maybe put a taco option with rice and beans on the kids menu. For dessert, we got tres leches- it was fine. The only other things ordered were a cocktail and a beer. We waited SOOOO long to get the bill and even longer for someone to come back to take our payment. With tip included- our total was about $180. That is very steep for the quality and quantity of food. Sadly, I don't think we will return.

Authentic Mexican food is more than tacos and salsa. The Garden State is hailed as one of the most diverse states when it comes to food, hosting some of the best Mexican restaurants on the East Coast. Whether one desires a quick taco or a full-course meal, my friends and I were craving rich and bold tastes from Mexico and decided on this family-owned establishment for an early Cinco de Mayo dinner. The reservation was easily made by calling Mariachi Grill, located on Ridge Road in Lyndhurst. Upon arrival at this popular spot to locals, with its cozy and casual interior decked out in traditional Mexican vibes, we were greeted by the staff and immediately got a table by the entrance, but they also have outdoor dining, weather permitting. The menu selection is much smaller than at other restaurants. We decided on the Cheese Enchiladas, Beef Enchiladas, California Burrito, Beef Burrito, Chicken Fries with Fries, and Shrimp Fajitas. Some meals are accompanied with a small portion of rice and black beans. Complimentary house chips and salsa started our meal. As the restaurant is working on their liquor license, it's BYOB. One can bring your own tequila or wine, and the staff will mix it with their sangria or margarita mixes. We washed our meal down with a pitcher of sangria. The presentation was very good. The food was made incredibly fresh, well seasoned, deliciously tasty, and generous. The price was very reasonable for the area. Our server Lisa with her outgoing personality and her desire to make our visit enjoyable, which we didn't feel rushed. Good experience overall, which we can recommend.

With this area being our go to after a Salvation Army drop off run in Passaic, Tio Taco was next up on our list after we had already hit up a few of the restaurants in the Clifton shopping area. We came by at around 12pm on a wintry Saturday afternoon and there was only one table occupied at the time. When we walked in though, unfortunately we weren't greeted by anyone for a good few minutes, so alarms already were going off in our heads of a potentially bad experience coming up. We ended up walking in on our own and seating ourselves before being greeted. The menu was Mexican-oriented as you can imagine - empanadas, tacos, quesadillas, enchiladas, steak and seafood Mexican-inspired entrees, etc. It wasn't a huge menu, but plenty to still choose from. We started off with the Beef Empanadas, which were FANTASTICCC. There were 3 large pieces in the order, which easssssily could have been an entree. It was some of the best beef empanadas I've had - honestly. Juicy seasoned beef and very good flavor from the sofrito. It came with a side of lettuce and pico de gallo and cheese dipping sauce. Next, the entrees. We ordered from the Kids menu for the kiddos - a Kids Chicken Quesadilla. First, the order was absolutely HUGEEEE! We were so shocked that the serving was so big that we double-checked with the waiter that it wasn't 2 orders. This was one of the largest kids meals items I had ever seen. There were 6 cut up pieces of the quesadilla, which was generously filled with lots of chicken and melted cheese. There was also a side of deliciously super crispy fries. I had 1 piece of the quesadilla and it stunned me that it was soooo gooood and the entire order probably would have filled me up with ease. My better half ordered the Churrasco Skirt Steak and I had the Short Rib Enchiladas. BOTH were ridiculously superb. The skirt steak was tender, juicy, flavorful and the chimichurri sauce was perfect. One of the better "non-fancy restaurant" steaks that we've had. As for the enchiladas, absolutely delicious! The short rib was soooo juicy and flavorful. Both entrees came with a side of rice and beans. The rice was a bit on the hard side, but I mixed mine with the beans, which made it better. We've been to our fair share of restaurants and, especially chain restaurants, and this was one of the best experiences, service wise and food wise, that we've had. It didn't get off to the best start having to wait a few minutes to be greeted, but our waiter was very friendly, accommodating with our requests for non-glass plates and plastic forks and even brought over extra ketchup and napkins without us asking. He came by to check on us every once in a while as well. And, yes, initially I was brought the wrong order of enchiladas, but they fixed that up asap with a brand new order for me. In closing, I'll say that when we visit chain restaurants these days, most of the food is decent and satisfies our hunger, but nothing very memorable ... the food here was absolutely MEMORABLE and we'll definitely be back.

My husband put our name in for a party of four and gave his phone number for the text notification but the hostess accidentally entered us as a party of two. Our waiter was friendly, though the service had a few hiccups. My chicken quesadilla (which I ordered as my entrée) came out well before everyone else's meals. When boxing leftovers, he asked whether I wanted the sides, sour cream, and salsa included. I said no, but when I opened the container the next day, everything had been packed together anyway. Food: The chicken quesadilla was delicious and generously filled with shredded chicken. Drinks: The frozen strawberry margarita was excellent. It was filled to the brim and stronger than what you typically get at a restaurant. Overall, I'm chalking the service issues up to it being a busy Saturday night.
