This is hands down our favorite taco truck! All the meat options taste so fresh and well seasoned. I also love that they offer up some sautéed onions and peppers on the side. I've been coming to Cheztakos for over 9 years, and it honestly makes me sad to say how much it's changed, and not in a good way. This used to be one of my go-to taco truck spots but over the years the quality and experience have gone downhill. Burritos are now around $16, which might be fine if the food still felt worth it, but it doesn't. The flavors aren't what they used to be, and everything tastes much more saltier than before. The service has also changed. The staff up front isn't very friendly anymore, and since COVID they got rid of the salsa bar (before it used to be self serve outside their food truck). Now if you ask for extra salsa, you're charged $1 for two tiny containers, which just feels petty given the prices. I think a good salsa can make or break the Mexican food. I really wanted to keep loving this place, but between the cost, the taste, and the overall experience, it's just not worth it anymore. Came here on a Thursday night with no line. I was craving tacos that night and to be honest there aren't that many options in Mountain View (or at least that I know of). I found it on yelp/google and it had decent reviews. I got several tacos, ranging from a variety of different meats as seen in the picture below. It was honestly a bit expensive for the size, however they were so flavorful. They were quick to make it and it definitely hit the spot. Worth a try if you are craving Mexican. Cheztakos! It has a catchy ring to it, and anyone who hears it and has been before always gets excited to go. That's what convinced me to check out this food truck tucked away in a liquor store parking lot. They have so many options, and the staff is super nice and helpful in selecting something to eat! It can definitely get chilly outside as there are no heat lamps, but they have ample seating with tables. 4.5/5 Veggie Quesadilla was loaded and pretty filling, with bell peppers and onions inside along with pinto beans. It also had the right amount of cheese and paired well with the quesadilla. I don't really have much to complain about this, except for the fact that there is nothing unique, just well executed This is definitely one of my top food trucks if I am craving quick Mexican food. The sauces were killer, especially the orange one, and they gave grilled chillies and onion if you ask, which weren't spicy at all but just added extra texture if you wanted. read more

I liked the variety and selection of meat for the tacos (lengua being my favorite by far). However, I like the tortilla to be a little more toasted, and the meat a little more either smoky or seasoned and flavorful. Having eaten tacos from LA or SD my whole life, these ones were a bit underwhelming. read more

I came to this taco truck and ordered a burrito with al pastor meat. They have this speaker so it makes it easier to communicate with them. The burrito itself was $14, and in my opinion, it was not worth the price. It was smaller than expected and on top of that, the meat was way too salty. The burrito was mostly meat and so it was difficult not to be overwhelmed with the amount of salt given that they were stingy with the rice and beans. I would not order this again. read more

Stopped by here with my boyfriend late night and there were several groups ahead of us. We got the Cheztakos burrito and the carne asada tacos. I'm definitely fond of them! This is one of my two goto's for chicken tacos in terms of Mexican food trucks in the area. Well grilled, juicy (not dry) chicken towards the fresher side. Pretty decent amount of chicken as you can see in the picture. I always get extra salsa, especially the spicy one (orange). You don't see grilled onions in the picture but they do give those as well. I also really like the burritos here, they're well loaded (meat, rice, beans) and they're also slightly grilled in the outside. I haven't tried any of the other dishes and usually stick to the tacos and burritos. They have a small area close to the truck for seating. read more

My wife and I wanted to try a new taco truck (she wanted a burrito). This was our first time trying Cheztacos but we've passed it plenty of times driving down El Camino. We both opted to order the Chezburrito, with everything on it. It comes with everything that the regular burrito has plus grilled onions and peppers plus not just with one meat but three - Al Pastor, Carne Asada, and Chorizo. The burrito was sooo good, maybe the best I've had in South Bay. I really liked it because it was more meat than rice and other fillings, but still got a lot of flavor from grilled onions and peppers and the rice that it did have was well seasoned. My wife however, decided she might prefer burritos that have more rice/beans than meat. Personal preference, but keep that in mind if you order the Chezburrito. I was certainly stuffed after eating the burrito. Next time I'll have to try their tacos. I will also bring cash next time because there was a 3-4% fee for using credit cards. They're located in a parking lot and you can sit there and eat too, they had two picnic tables, but we chose to bring the food home. I think other places offer more value given the price, which has gone up significantly here. due to their lack of fixings in the burrito, i imagined it the bare bones would deliver, but its just alright. wish they offered some jalapeños and carrots like other places. i asked for limes and got lemons, they are not made equal. the salsa is good but its a small cup and theyre they're strict on one cup of green and orange salsa per burrito. only 1 place to sit and there's limited parking due to the liquor store. read more

Anytime Im visiting California I make sure to eat real authentic Latino food! I really miss living in this area, the food is absolutely amazing. Cheztakos is a food truck located in the Mountain View area. I found them easily by doing a quick google search, and what a great find! The menu has enough choices and is not overwhelming. Once I ordered, our food came out in a timely manner. We ordered one chicken and one beef burrito. All the food was good and hot. Portion size is huge, I only are half of my burrito. Pricing is reasonable for the amt of food you receive. Customer service was perfect. I will be visiting them anytime Im in the area for sure. read more

Stopped by because we were craving burritos and it's been over 7 years since I've been back. I don't remember anything from my first visit so I'm going to review it as if it was my first time again. Note the burritos are loaded with meat, lacking in rice and the other "fillers". It's a pro and a con depending on how you like your burritos. CHEZBURRITO!!: This menu item had a interesting combination of ingredients that all sounded good together so I ordered one of these (without beans). It was piping hot so beware! Not the biggest fan of bell peppers but wanted to keep it since I thought it would add a smoky flavor and it did. I enjoyed all of the meats that were included: asada, Al pastor, chorizo. Overall, I would say this is too seasoned, and actually very salty. BURRITO!!: first impression is that it's small for a burrito these days especially at $10+ (after tax). Requested no beans again, rice was sparse. Carne asada was cooked well, but again very salty. They provided 2 sauces, both of which were not too spicy. Orange was probably habanero and green had cilantro for sure, and jalapeño or Serrano if I had to guess. Both were very thin sauces compared to a lot of places. read more

Finally made it out to get some tacos since moving back to CA. Was in socal for a long while, so we were really hoping to find a good place up herr! The bf got the Chezburrito and it is definitely worth it! Packed with deliciousness and 3 different meats. And it is heftttty. I got waay too many tacos but no regrets. Carne Asada, brisket, tongue, al pastor, shrimp, and fried pork. All the tacos were really good. But my favorites were the tongue, al pastor and shrimp. The tongue was cooked really well and had great flavor. Really they all did. Everything was packed nicely and securely. 2 each of their green and orange hot sauce. 2 foils of grilled onions/jalapenos. We also got the horchata and jaimaica which were also super good. Wow! That was a flavorful burrito! I stopped by around 6:30pm on a Tuesday. Plenty of parking and I was able to order easily. The cashier explained how the Chezburrito had several kinds of meat and special sauce. I brought the burrito home and was drooling when I finally got to take a bite. The meats and filling were flavorful and the sauce just added to it. Grilled green peppers and onions were a unique and wonderful addition. The sauces on the side were a great compliment. I think it was gone in about 5 minutes! I will definitely be returning to try out their other menu items. read more

The last time we were in the area, we went to Cheztakos three times in the span of a week. That's how good it is! We always order the brisket quesadillas. Their quesadillas are immaculate, especially when dipped in the sauces that they provide. The quesadillas come with a few sides -- two flavorful sauces, caramelized onions, and chili. At night, this food truck is located in the parking lot of a liquor store. In the daytime, I think it moves down the street. Kind of tricky. It may take a little getting used to the routine, but if it becomes your go to burrito truck then its worth it. We sampled the different burrito meats. The regular doesn't come with much, so we all got super, which is cheese, guacamole, and sour creme. The Al Pastor was pretty good. We asked for extra spicy and they put in the green sauce. Not bad. The grilled chicken was tender and tasty. Unfortunately, the asada tasted a little off. Maybe it was yesterdays beef, but next time we'll stick with pollo. read more

I stumbled upon Chez one night cruising for good tacos in Mountain View after watching a Netflix special about Tacos and their origins of Suadero meat. I have had 20 years experience of being let down and was skeptical after being a San Francisco native and I know good taco spots in the city. Chez does not disappoint. Their Suadero is amazing, flavorful, robust with crispy edges and meaty deliciousness! The tacos are stacked with meat and those grilled onions are a must! Great food truck to get authentic Mexican tacos. We got some classic street tacos and all the meats were delicious. We tried Al pastor, carne asada and carnitas. Would highly recommend the Al pastor - SO good! The other two were also very tasty. We also tried the Chez burrito and that was fantastic. Very large and comes with a good amount of meat. Overall everything was delicious. The food isn't by any means light, but if you're looking up this restaurant you probably aren't going for that anyway. There are plastic picnic tables if you're wanting to eat there. We did ours as takeout and they packed it up nicely. read more

I come here frequently on my work break. Flavors are on point and it's not too greasy. Service is straight-forward and always very fast. Prices have gone up over the last couple of years, but this is understandable, especially for the location. Arguably the best taco truck around. I've been exploring the taco truck scene all over the South Bay Area and these are some of the best. Every time I come here I HAVE to get an Al Pastor taco and a suadero taco. They are the best meats on the menu. I've also had their shrimp taco and while it is incredible I will usually opt for Al Pastor and suadero. I can't wait to come back and eat more tacos!!
