This was a solid Mexican restaurant in the Los Altos area. We were in the area and were so happy we stopped by. We had the burrito bowl which was a great portion with lots of components. It was filled with lots of rice, beans, pico de gallo, guacamole, sour cream, and crispy tortilla strips. The burritos were filling also with meat and goodies. I walked up to the counter and ordered a regular Chorizo burrito to eat in. A basket of complementary chips was brought to my table and my burrito shortly after. Literally the best Mexican food I've ever had! You get complimentary freshly made tortilla chips and salsa with your order. Their mild salsa is so fresh and tasty. I ordered the flautas plate and they were so tender and fried perfectly, topped with a chipotle drizzle and cotita cheese. It was accompanied by lovely pineapple chunky salsa and jalapeño jelly. The rice was moist and delicious. I tried both pinto beans and black beans and they were flavorful. Service was friendly and communication was clear. A fast food Mexican restaurant with a large variety of items and cleaner than most. The pastor and pollo are ok, the carnitas is hit or miss, and the asada is disappointing. Regular Tacos are one meat w/beans and pico de gallo. Super Tacos also include cheese, beans, & avocado. I prefer the super version. Crispy Tacos have cotija cheese, and chipotle mayo. Doesn't work for me Regular Burritos are one meat w/beans, rice and pico de gallo. Super Burritos also include guacamole, cheese and sour cream. Again get 'em super. BBQ Pork Burrito is an orange chipotle tortilla with BBQ sauce on pork, rice, veggie fajitas, pico de gallo and cheese. A tad too sweet for my taste. Fish Burrito has green cabbage, guacamole, chipotle mayo, pico de gallo and pineapple sauce. Nope. Any burrito can be ordered "Wet" which means red sauce, cheese, sour cream and guacamole. I returned many times after my initial delivery and wanted to update my review. The wet burrito is consistently great, and their shrimp taco is absolutely delicious. The shrimp is incredibly fresh, tender, and juicy, almost like sushi. The spicy mayo sauce is excellent. Most of the time, when we pick up the food from the store, the chips are fresh. There's a salsa bar with onions, cilantro, and various sauces, which you don't get with DoorDash. So, it's best to pick up the food or eat in rather than get it delivered. Given the price, both the salad and the burrito had big portions. The burrito received positive review. The super salad was way too sweet, probably from the pineapple in the salad and the overly sweet citrus dressing - I only mixed in half of it and expected it to be sour and refreshing instead of sweet. Solid spot! The salsa bar is really cute and overall the place was really comfy to sit in. The cashier was very patient with me as I was trying to figure out what I've wanted which is really nice. After figuring out the food, I settled on the three crispy tacos. They were bomb! My only gripe would be that they fell apart after a while since they got soggy and it was a bit messy to eat. I follow the Lunar calendar when my family tells me. Like when there's a day we don't eat meat (that includes seafood and eggs) but not vegan. I think we just follow what we think is right. When it comes to religion, there is no right or wrong. We were in Palo Alto to visit the temple. I don't go as often as I should. We were in the area so that was what we did after - had lunch! Knowing me, I was scoping for a place to try so Yelp took us here! Service = amazing. The restaurant is spacious, clean, and offers both indoor and patio dining. The restroom facility is also clean! I wasn't a fan of the vegetables in this dish but my fault for not asking however, everything that i did eat, it tasted yummy and fresh. Come support your local restaurant! Review is based on food only since we ordered take-out. - Torta (Carnitas - Fried Pork with no tomatoes): In general, it was really good. The portions of everything was just right and the meat was nicely cooked. Since it was take-out, I was expecting a pretty soggy sandwich, but to my surprise, it still had some toasty crunch to it.
