I've been going here for years and it never lets me down. Extremely solid Mexican food, my favorite dish being their grandmas enchiladas with shrimp! They have some of the best rice and beans around, great chips and extremely flavorful salsas. But- that grandmas sauce is my go to every time! It's rich, creamy, flavorful I crave it all of the time when I'm in New Mexico. The servers are super nice, attentive and accommodating with requests. I love their wood carved animal chairs! You can sit inside or outside on the patio!

Never disappoints! Cute ambiance, welcoming staff and of course yummy food and drinks. My love for Mexican food expanded from years living in Austin. Still haven't found the Tex-Mex fix that measures up but La Fiesta has been the closest in satisfying my taste buds. The portions are generous and food is always fresh and hot. The cheese enchiladas are my go to comfort food here. The vegetarian burrito gets honorable mention too. For the brunch lovers the weekend menu includes some egg based dishes. My family has been coming here for atleast 15 years maybe longer I lost count.

Food is great and truth be told we come by every so often for the food but man is the service consistently poor Without joke it took us asking four different people to get our waters. If you need anything along the way - more chips, salsas, a refill, a napkin, whatever - it will honestly take you multiple tries to get it. It was very frustrating to ask for the basics like water or a straw and then have it go 4-5 mins without anything and then having to ask someone else. It would be one thing in a one off busy day but unfortunately this is pretty consistent - even though we usually tip well. Grandmas sauce and their rice and beans do slap. Would love a few different soda options - currently just coke Diet Coke and sprite

La Fiesta is a restaurant my husband has been talking about even before we got married and even though we have tried multiple times to go, we were not able to given for one reason or another. However, this past Valentines day we finally gave this spot a shot and I am so glad we did! This definitely feels like a fun cute homey Mexican spot and you can tell it's very popular as there was a wait. They only do walkins but thankfully after 30 minutes we were able to get a table. For food both the husband and I got Grandma's enchiladas. Now let me tell you this was DELICIOUS! The sauce is to die for and both the hubby and I were absolutely satiated. We got the veggie and chicken enchiladas and both were delicious. The plates also came with rice and beans which was awesome. They had messed up on my husbands order who wanted 1 chicken and 1 veg, giving 2 veg but when we told them they gave us another chicken enchilada. Customer service was absolutely great! Overall, can't wait to go back again and bring all our friends and family!

Interesting hidden spot close to Sunnyvale area. A friend recommended I try this place. It wasn't bad! The only reason I wouldn't rank it 5 stars was because my "burrito" was more of an enchilda. We ordered a veggie "burrito" and I got the grandma especial "burrito". The top was smothered with a tasty orange chipotle sauce. I would've enjoyed it a little more if there were some other veggies in this "burrito". The veggie one was good too(obviously this one had veggies) I've just never had a burrito with only meat. Tip: ask for it cheese on top to get that crispy cheesy finish. Salsas were tasty and service was very fast.

This is a great authentic restaurant off the beaten path of Castro Street in downtown Mountain View. They have all the traditional dishes you'd expect at a Mexican restaurant. The drinks are yummy too! I'd highly recommend the Sangria! We were so busy eating that I forgot to take pictures. Here are a few of the inside and outside seating areas. They have an okay seating area in the parking lot, but the inside is magical with artwork and unique lighting.

This is THE spot for quality authentic Mexican food. The standalone restaurant is always beautifully decorated based on the season. The service is excellent and everyone is so kind. The easily accommodated my husband's vegan diet.

It was a good experience. Good ambiance and good food but pretty expensive. Service was quick and portions were good. They gave salsa and chips but salsa was vinegar ish and tasted artificial.

The last time I went there, I brought some friends and had the unfortunate lesson that DJs are rotated in. So we would not have the Vietnamese DJ. Instead, we had a DJ named Jose Melendez. At the beginning of the night, I requested 90's Hip Hop. He said, "This is 90's Hip Hop." I said, "I've never heard this song before." He said rudely, "That's not my problem." We were the only people on the dance floor for most of the night. The music was terrible and eventually, it became a chore to dance. We were dancing to excercise but spent the night making fun of the music by dancing as terribly as possible. What is the point of DJing if you're only going to play music that empties your dance floor? Hope we never see this DJ again. He was rude his music stunk.

The service was quite slow, but that was understandable considering how busy they were. The employees seemed overwhelmed and were rushing around. The space itself is lovely - tiny dance floor, outdoor patio, plenty of bar seating, and a big pool table. There were a couple people who refused to leave the pool table and give other customers a chance to play, which was entertaining. The music was definitely vintage, and the dance floor got more and more crowded as the night went on. It was a nice place to spend an evening hanging out with friends.

I ordered the savvy spritz wine cooler and my friend ordered the cherry lavender rose. I loved that the spritz wasn't too artificial tasting since a lot of places tend to be. I wish it would've been a little stronger but I get that it's more of a fun cocktail wine that's meant to be light. The food here was insane. We ordered the Margherita flatbread and while it's simple the quality was great and the cheese was super good and had a nice pull. The vibe here is great it feels very safe having mostly had women patrons. The music was nice and definitely gave it a special vibe that you don't get just anywhere, there was a lot of Prince going on and Stevie Nicks ( I love). I'll definitely be back soon! Also the owner was super friendly and seemed like he was happy to be there.

St Stephen's Green is an Irish pub that is a Mountain View mainstay and institution. It's been here for a long time, and it's a great place to drink a pint, munch on some food and shoot the breeze with friends. We decided to haul ass down here for the USA vs. Belgium World Cup match. Presently, for World Cup reservations, they have to be made at least 12 hours in advance and are $50/person (which you can redeem for drinks and food on the day of your reservation). We got here fairly early and sat in some free seats near the front entrance. Before long, the place was a zoo, but it didn't matter. The atmosphere and camaraderie were still electric. Despite the atrocity of a loss by team USA, great fun was still had. Their menu, I should note, is extensive with a number of both Irish and non-Irish food and drinks. On my visit, I started with a simple club soda which progressed to a glass of Guinness beer and some Guinness beer cheese pretzels which I split with my friends. The pretzels and the accompanying sauce were delicious. The club soda and Guinness were as good as can be had anywhere. Prices, admittedly, are not the cheapest here though. For two club sodas, two Guinness beers, and one order of the beer cheese pretzels, the total bill (without tip) came to approx. $47-48. Service was good but could have been a little bit more organized. When I was closing my tab, my server ran off just as I began to sign my receipt, and I was unable to get a copy for myself. Not a huge deal I suppose as the pub was awash with patrons on the inside and outside. But I will say this: When I made a few phone calls a day or two before to ask a few questions about reservations and seating, each person I spoke to on the phone was really friendly and answered my questions clearly and with no hesitation or confusion. Some might think that such an experience like that isn't too remarkable, but, in a day and age of picking up the phone and talking to a computer and/or having to deal with poor customer service, this was a breath of fresh air. For those who plan to come for the remaining World Cup matches, if you do NOT have a reservation, be sure to walk around and see if there are any available tables (both inside and outside) that do NOT have a sign saying "reserved." If you're lucky to find one, you can sit there. If the table is indeed reserved, you can't sit there unless the amount of chairs at that table is greater than the amount of people for whom the table is reserved (which is noted on tables that are reserved.) There are a number of free seats up front that are first come, first served (which is where we sat), but they do NOT allow you to save seats for others. So I highly recommend that, if you plan to meet up with others, you arrive TOGETHER and EARLY. They recommended that we arrive at least one hour before the match started, which is great advice and served us well. Overall, if you're looking for a solid Irish pub in the South Bay, I highly recommend Green. SUPPORT LOCAL AND/OR SMALL BUSINESSES. 4 stars

As a speakeasy enthusiast myself I definitely agree to the fact that it is "hidden" but also it does kinda give corporate vibes a little bit - maybe we can say they "gentrified" the speakeasy experience which is honestly so funny for Palo Alto. But anyways I don't think a classification should stop you from visiting it. The food is actually surprisingly really good.
