I got 3 tacos - 2 regular chicken and 1 steak&shrimp - for $12. The steak and shrimp taco was the most expensive one, and for good reason. It was the most delicious one I had so far. Been here a number of times and have tried their super burritos and their super tacos a few times each and their super tacos are really the thing to get here. I LOVE the melted cheese they have on the tacos and make these so delicious. The super burritos are really what is bringing the score down here. It's really been hit and miss and more on the miss than anything else. I still want to come and try their birra to see how it is but whenever I'm craving tacos, this is the spot. They have some seats out in front of the truck with some shading so that's definitely nice if you want to sit and eat. First of all, they're grilling the meat right outside the truck and it smells so good, the aroma lingers throughout the parking lot. The truck is located in the same parking lot as at Target all the way off to the side. But they do have a tent, and benches for a nice seating area if need be. They do accept Apple Pay which is also nice. By 2pm on a Saturday, they were out of Al Pastor. So I got two carne asada and two carnita . I came on a Tuesday at 5:45pm and it wasn't busy at all. The lady was really nice and the wait time for the food was normal (10-15 min). I wouldn't get the tacos again since the tortilla + meat combination was just too dry. But I would come again to eat the burrito. The green sauce had good flavor, the red sauce tastes like nothing, and the orange sauce is a bit too mayo-y and muted in flavor. I wish the orange sauce had more stronger flavors, I think that would've been really good. But none of the sauces were spicy (neither good nor bad, just an observation). Overall.... Mamacitas is sits in a Target parking lot and is near a bunch of shopping, so you can grab some food before running errands. The campechanos taco alone is good enough to stop by. Chorizo gives it extra flavor and texture while the suardero (the menu might say steak) provides beefy fattiness and is kind of crispy like carnitas. I also got a fish taco - it was pretty mild in flavor and was easily overshadowed by the campechanos. I recommend getting something other than the fish taco. The orange sauce feels like it is maybe based but I'm not sure. I preferred using the red salsa. Next I want to try their carnitas, asada, and adding the griddled cheese. read more

So we have driven by this taco truck more times than I can count. Our son on his ever present quest to find the best Mexican Food asked to stop and give this place a shot. While it is a truck, it never seems to go anywhere and can always be found in this location. While they have benches and the like your best bet is to go IMHO. Taco Al Pastor: the quintessential street taco. flavorful bits of freshly shaved pork, coupled with onions and cilantro, its perfect bite. On this trip it came with a chipotle crema? that was money adding smokey rich heat to the taco. Chicken Taco: Mmmmmmm same as above with perfectly cooked chicken thigh and came with a green cilanto? based sauce which was as fantastic as the crema. 4-4.5 stars overall but rounding up for the warm and friendly staff (mamacitas, indeed!!). I called in my order around 4:30pm on a Thursday, and it was ready in 10-15 minutes. They are located on the side of the Target in Mountain View, and are parked behind the liquor store, to the left of the Target if you're facing it. As some Yelpers have mentioned, their menu may not be available in front of the truck, but you can look at the photos of previous menus on Yelp. The day I went, there was only a blank whiteboard in front of the truck. Based on photos that have been posted, they have a large variety of different meats available (campechanos/steak&chorizo, carne asada, al pastor, pollo, chorizo, carnitas, buche/pork stomach, cueritos/pork belly, camaron, Pescado, suadero/beef brisket, tripas/beef tripe, lengua/beef tongue, cabeza/beef head, costilla/pork ribs, trompa/pork snout, oreja/pork ear). I'm not sure if all are available every day, but they were responsive when I called, so easy enough to call ahead and check. For my first visit, I went with my usuals: -Super Burrito (Carne Asada, Beans, Pico de Gallo, Cheese, Sour Cream, Guacamole, $10): I don't like beans in my burrito and always order without, but they were still included in my order so it was hard to directly compare with other burrito spots. However, I loved the sear they had on the tortilla! I'm not sure if they added a thin layer of cheese, or maybe it was just pork fat, but it added another layer of delicious flavor to the burrito. The carne asada was solid, and they didn't skimp on the guacamole. I would order this burrito again just for that tortilla, and keep my fingers crossed they don't put beans in the next time around. -Suadero & Al Pastor Tacos ($3/each): I fell in love with suadero in San Diego, and don't see it available often in the Bay Area. The version here is delicious, and made well! The suadero pieces were flavorful and tender, and cooked well. I also really liked their al pastor, especially since it came with small pieces of pineapple. It had a great char and was seasoned well. The only slight miss were the tortillas- they weren't as soft/tender as I've had from other taquerias/taco trucks, but I also ate these 30 minutes later and not fresh. It's rare to see a Mexican food truck run by two women, and it's so refreshing to see!! I'm wishing both ladies continued success. They were super nice over the phone, and also as they rang up my order. I look forward to coming back to try more of their meats as well as getting another burrito! I don't know what it was about this burrito, but as I was eating it, it didn't feel like I was eating a burrito. It was SO GOOD!!! I ordered a super burrito with asada and took a cup of orange sauce and green sauce with me to go. When i got back to work a few minutes later to eat, the burrito was still pretty hot to the touch when it was wrapped in foil. Every bite I took was delicious and the flavors blended together so well. Adding both sauces made the burrito THAT much better. The orange sauce did have a win over the green sauce though. ** Authentic and reasonably priced tacos with a sauce bar. Taco truck located in a parking lot next to Target. Initially I was supposed to come here when my friends introduced me to this spot, but we left since it was late and they only had al pastor. Upon searching it up on yelp, with 4.5 stars, a significant number of reviews, and solid looking tacos (from the pictures) I knew this place had to be the real deal. The truck is located next to Target on one side, with the other side being a sketchier looking liquor store and a car shop, so I knew this had to be the optimal balance of sketchiness and cleanliness to get the best tasting tacos without risking health or food poisoning ;). I tried four different tacos - Lengua, Grilled Chicken, Carne Asada, and Brisket. All proteins were pretty bomb to me, but if I had to pick one or two I'd go with the Carne Asada and Brisket. The lengua (tongue) is very soft and tender as well, but I just personally preferred the Carne Asada over it for its richer flavor. No matter what, I don't think you could go wrong with any of those four proteins. TIP - if you aren't sure about your spice tolerance definitely request for sauce cups from the workers in the truck (there aren't any outside). This way you can sample whether the sauces are too hot before pouring them all over your tacos, and also if you are taking the tacos to-go this will prevent them from getting soggy later! The sauce bar has a few different sauces, lime, cucumbers, and onions that allow you to put the finishing touches on the tacos to your liking. I went with the regular tacos (cilantro and onion) and felt satisfied since I personally don't like cheese. If you like tacos, this is definitely a solid option to try! read more

Whole in the wall! Best damn tacos I've had in while! Proper legit tacos. Hand pressed tortillas on the grill till it's got a crispy crust. Then comes the meaty filling. I highly recommend Carnitas! Al pastor, carne asada, birria, fish, shrimp, chicken, chorizo and veggie in super tacos or regular tacos. $3.50-4.50 a taco. Way better than the Mexican restaurants around town. Not only was the meat cooked perfectly and piping hot, the orange sauce was incredible too. It had a kick to it, but was also creamy enough to balance out the meat and onions. Think of an elevated, perfected La Vics orange sauce! They unfortunately didn't have pastor the day we went (maybe they ran out..?) but I hope to try it next time. Will be back for sure.
