My friend ordered food from this place for our girls gathering. I got the small Ssam and the veggie dumplings, my other friends tried the bowls. I loved the sauces that come with the food and the taste of everything I had. I haven't tried this place much as I don't have one near by, but I can tell I would probably go to this place more often if I could. It's a pretty chilled place, and the staff is super friendly. This particular location is in an area with tons of traffic in and out, but even with that the place was clean and well kept. Outside sitting is also available and now that the weather is getting better, it could be a nice hangout. I'll definitely stop by again or even try the other locations, but overall the food was very tasty and the portions were generous.

My gosh, I was so hungry, and I knew that Chi'Lantro would 1. Full me up. And 2. Be satisfying throughout my 3 hour class. I decided on the carnitas bowl. The employee greeted me promptly. He was very polite with the southern "what can I get you ma'am" he started my bowl, and passed it down to the next section where a women continued to complete my bowl toppings. She asked if I would like a sample of their dumpling. And I said yes, I would love that. After paying for my bowl, I found a seat and dove right in. The toppings are all fresh and crisp. Everything had its own bountiful flavor. I did get the sauce on the side. Which I later added after I ate about half the bowl. The sauce was such a nice flavor enhancer. I did like the dumpling sample she gave me. It was crisp on the outside and delicious on the inside. Not over cooked to mush. Was really a nice well made dumpling. The restaurant is clean. Tables are kept up. The self serve soda machine is clean. Outside seating is nice. It's out on the sidewalk, and out by the parking lot. It's a bit chilly today to eat outside . So inside it was. Parking lot, is a small shopping center, you should find it easy to park. Spaces are a little tight, but it's not bad. Had a great meal, great service, I will come back again!

We walked in and were immediately greeted with smiles and warm feelings. The gentleman making our food was so happy we walked in. My wife is pregnant and has been craving this place. They took great care of us. Right off of 620, you do not need to travel far off the road to eat here. The place was very clean. Restrooms were clean, everything wiped down, and great music playing to enjoy your time here. I believe this location is way better than the South Austin location. Thi location has more room, and the vibe seems way happier. Way cleaner and overall better experience. This is one of my wife's favorite places. And when you have guys with smiles, it just makes you want to come back.

I'm so glad a Chi'lantro recently opened up by my house. I ordered the B'Bimbap rice bowl and kimchi fries. We ordered both with all the ingredients, but if you're not into spicy foods, I recommend skipping out on some of the sauces and picking your protein wisely. Their drink fountain is also fun too with different flavors. I ended up getting the agave cream soda, which is always delicious. The employees were all so kind and trainings new employees at the same time. Everyone was seriously hustling during the dinner rush. There is not a lot of seating inside this location, but we didn't have to fight for a table. There were a ton of takeout orders being picked up while we were there and they make it easy with a pickup shelf right next to the door. Every time someone walked in for a pickup, it was already ready to go.

Who has 2 thumbs and too many errands after work? This mom. That's why I was delighted to discover this newest Chi'Lantro location just a few blocks down the road from my teen's swim team center (Waterloo Lakeline). Rather than make another regrettable greasy drive-thru dinner stop, I can easily order "fast casual" takeout meals for the family through the Chi'Lantro smartphone app while I watch my son's workout, then pick up our tasty Korean BBQ-inspired dinner on our way home. My go-to meal here is a bowl with tons of greens, veggies & kimchi with a spicy protein over the japchae (GF) noodles. It's usually enough food to make 2 meals for me, and it's great hot for dinner, then cold for lunch the next day. My picky eater son will take the kids' quesadillas and we'll share an order of queso fries. If hubby is along, the fries get upgraded to spicy beef/chicken/or pork fries - so gooooood! Can you believe we now have 10 Chi'lantros in the Austin area? So proud of these guys for their success after their early days in 2010 as a single food truck. Absolutely love Chi'Lantro and absolutely love that this one opened off of 620 not far from Cedar Park. Of the growing number of establishments offering various quick service bowls, Chi'Lantro is among the best. I would recommend the steak B'bimbap. The meat is super flavorful. The pork Japchae con queso was also delicious and the queso is legit. We ordered the famous kimchi fries and they were a little too spicy for my taste but still really good. Clean restaurant. Friendly staff. Fantastic lunch. Cheers, Chi'Lantro!

When you are craving beef bulgogi and crispy french fries (which I seem to oddly crave way to often), there is only one place to go. Before this location opened, it was a bit of a pain to get Chi'lantro so it seemed to only happen if I was out and about. But now, they are 4 minutes from my house. This is going to be dangerous. I've been a fan of the kimchi fries since I moved to Austin over 8 years ago, and they still seem to impress me. The portion is huge, and they don't skimp out on the protein. If you are craving something else, I can definitely recommend the queso. It was the perfect constancy and packed with flavor. All in all, the service was fast and the food was great. It was a bit loud in there so it was definitely hard to hear the people behind the counter but this was also opening weekend so it may have changed since then.

Twas a cold and cloudy night and all I yearned for was chilantro. Luckily, we happened upon their 620 location. We had the spicy pork curated bowl and an order of kim chi fries with spicy chicken. Both were delicious but we both gave a slight edge to the flavor in the pork as it was great. They made a great combo with the heavy carbed fries and then the bowl with some greens, kim chi and queso. I think it might have been my first time having queso with Asian flavors. We both had plenty and even had some of the bowl left to take home. Overall, a fantastic experience with my only small suggestion being that I wish the bowl were mixed for us or served in a bigger vessel so we could mix it ourselves.

Best Burritos in town. Starting to prefer these to the Mexican burritos. Awesome that they now have a location in this area. Love the ingredients they have available. Whether you are in the mood for bowl or burrito you will love veggie and meat options that they have available. This stuff is good. Service is great.

Happy to discover this place. The workers were A+. Attentive, patient, informative, and kind. And they did not short us on the food! As for the food...delicious! I'm so happy to discover this place. The owner, after I researched his story, seems like a great guy too. I'll be happy to add this to the list of establishments I frequent. Also their lemonades are good...unique to your typical lemonade tastes...but good!

What a great little location!! I have been to the original ChiLantro location twice with my grand children but they have really expanded and there is even one out in the Cedar Park area now .....which is close to where I live. I was lucky enough to be chosen for this elite event, and went into try one of their new bowls. Well -I chose the Umma's (Mom's) Salad $9.97 Your choice of Korean BBQ, green leaf lettuce mix, spinach, avocado, red cabbage, carrots, kimchi, cilantro, onion, pickled veggies, sesame seeds, & carrot ginger dressing. You can also add a fried egg which I forgot to do and the only thing I changed was no cilantro. I had the steak for my protein it was a little dry, but still very tasty. I enjoyed the salad tremendously. The ginger carrot dressing was perfect. My dining partner ordered the Signature Large Ssäm $9.87 Flour tortilla, your choice of base, black beans, cheddar + Monterey jack, onions, lettuce mix, cilantro, lime juice, magic sauce, sesame seeds. Also, meant to add a fried egg, but forgot. He had the Korean BBQ Steak for his protein. He nixed the onions, lime, juice, magic sauce, and sesame seeds. The meat was not spicy I promise you however he thought it was a tad spicy... you know everybody has their own opinion. It was very good, and the Ssäm was very unique. Definitely plenty big for a meal or possibly even TWO depending on your appetite. We had to try the chicken wings so we also ordered a half a dozen of those, sauce on the side. Wow, I think I could've eaten a couple dozen. They were just that good!! Thank you so much, Chi'lantro for a tasty and delicious meal!

The restaurant has a classic look (wood, brick, and ducts), and the menu - meats priced by the pound on a chalkboard - adds to the retro appeal. Those meats are cut to order by a pitmaster. After making your selection, you proceed down a cafeteria-style line and pick your sides. Sauce, pickles, and Wonder Bread are free. We opted for some brisket, a jalapeno sausage link, potato salad, and creamed corn. The brisket was tender and flavorful if a bit fatty while the sausage boasted a firm bite and a winning combination of spicy and cheesy. Unexpectedly, the creamed corn ended up being a highlight. If that's a side you usually avoid, Cooper's version may end up converting you. That said, the potato salad was nothing special and the sauce was very tomato-and-vinegar-forward. As to be expected given Cooper's location and reputation, prices are also quite high (as in almost $40 a pound for brisket). That's not outrageous for a "name" BBQ place in Austin though if I had to pay that after waiting in a long line, I might walk away disappointed. Cooper's is not the best Texas BBQ you're likely to find, but it's a pretty damn solid representation thereof.

As a recipient of the prestigious Texas Monthly Top 100 BBQ Award, the expectations were high--and for the most part, they were met. The venue itself provides a fantastic, relaxed vibe, complete with plenty of TVs and a music stage, making it the perfect spot for chilling out on a lazy afternoon or settling in for an evening hang. The Main Event: Pitmaster Excellence The true test of a Texas BBQ joint is the holy trinity, and here, they nailed the fundamentals: * Brisket: This was Texas BBQ as it should be. The brisket was super juicy, delivered a profound, deep flavor, and possessed a flawless, great bark that spoke to hours of skillful smoking * Spare Ribs: A study in contrast and texture. The ribs offered a satisfying "good pull"--firm enough to bite but still falling cleanly off the bone. The thick, peppery bark was beautifully balanced by a slight sweetness from a pepper jelly glaze, adding a layer of sophisticated flavor you don't always find. * Pork Belly Burnt Ends: These were pure decadence. Each bite provided a delicious, melt-in-your-mouth experience with a distinct and welcome hint of Fierce Whiskers bourbon woven into the smoky, fatty flavor. They are so rich and irresistible, you know you shouldn't eat too many, but good luck stopping. * Jalapeño and Cheese Sausage: This locally sourced link brought the heat with a good level of spice. The flavor was excellent, though the texture leaned slightly toward the processed side, which was the only minor drawback among the meats. The Supporting Cast: Sides A great plate of BBQ requires sides that stand up to the meat, and while two of these were stars, one needs a little work. * Mac & Cheese: An absolute winner. It was cheesy, creamy, and featured an excellent smoked flavor that permeated the dish. The slightly charred edges added a delightful textural counterpoint. * Hash Brown Casserole: This was a surprisingly strong contender, offering a nice assembly of savory flavors. The secret weapon was the corn flake topping, providing an unexpected but welcome crunch, complemented by a satisfying hint of bacon. * Creamed Corn: Unfortunately, this side was the weakest link. It tasted primarily bland, despite a slight peppery note. It desperately needs some fresh jalapeños mixed in to cut through the creaminess and add the essential Texas kick. Final Verdict The meat selection here is truly Top 100 worthy, excelling in technique, flavor, and execution (especially the Brisket and Burnt Ends). The atmosphere is perfect for a relaxed gathering. While the Creamed Corn missed the mark, the stellar Hash Brown Casserole and Smoked Mac & Cheese prove that their side game is usually strong. Come for the high-quality, authentic Texas barbecue, stay for the great outdoor patio.

The Moist Beef Brisket was exceptionally juicy and flavorful with a bark that had my attention. The Prime Pork Belly Burnt Ends were definitely an excellent choice. They were slow-smoked and then tossed in Fierce Whiskers Bourbon Sauce .and smoked again to create a very nice glaze and it was not overly sweet. I ordered the smoked Okra and Tomatoes that more than satisfied my veggie requirement. This spot was close to my hotel, and on my departure day, I decided to have one last hit of Q. It's a big restaurant, and it appears to also be quite the music venue. When I went, a little on the early side for a Friday dinner, there was not a wait and I was sat immediately. My server was attentive, and got me in, fed, and back out in plenty of time to catch my already delayed flight. I ordered their 3 meat combo plate, which also came with two sides, and added on a piece of cornbread. I chose brisket of course, as well as turkey and sausage. The server recommended the serrano pepper spinach (like a creamed spinach) and onion rings, and I took those recs. The best of the three meats was the turkey. Not a good sign. It was moist and tender, though not particularly smokey. Even so, I enjoyed it more than the brisket and sausage, which I would have guessed the reverse when ordering. The brisket was on the dry side and kind of bland, it did not smack of being freshly carved. The Stubbs BBQ sauce helped me eat some of it... now I see why they are famous for their sauce. I had a couple bites of the sausage and pushed it aside, I didn't enjoy their recipe on that at all. It was cooked seemingly well, but the blend of spices and meat they use wasn't pleasant to me. The sides, the onion rings were very crispy which I like, but again... something in the batter. Maybe even the oil they were cooked in, I did not enjoy as much. The spinach was actually quite enjoyable, maybe even a little rich. I think if it were warmer, if might help milden out some of that. It was really thick. The cornbread wasn't worth the add-on. No sweetness or anything to make it memorable. Vessel for butter. The portion was massive, and I had leftover food, but did not take it... and that would have been the case even if I wasn't headed to the airport. I wouldn't recommend this spot.

When I tell you these ribs were a religious experience I am not embellishing. Take this review as someone who really enjoys BBQ (and any slow cooked meat for that matter) but who could not list more than 10 BBQ restaurants they have eaten at in the last 5 years. So the beef ribs. Great texture, tender meat but still had a bite to it. Expertly seasoned so they were not wet with sauce but still moist. I would consider 1 beef rib a snack, 2 a small meal. I also tried the chopped brisket (brisket and burnt ends sitting in a soup of BBQ sauce). That was also delicious (and more reasonably priced), but I could have done with slightly less sauce. It really was like a soup and while the sauce was tasty, there was too much of it. I went later in the afternoon (around 2/2:30pm) and got their last two beef ribs so going earlier is better. As someone who doesn't typically enjoy lean cuts, their leans came out juicier than some place's fattiest cuts. On the fatty cuts, the meat was very well rendered, and it remained succulent! I will say I was expecting more flavoring from bark, but it was very much a "taste the essence of the quality of craftsmanship of this meat" rather than an emphasis of seasoning. While very well prepared, I did need some bbq sauce to make it hit. I enjoy ribs from a couple other spots more than I did from Franklin's, but ya can't do it all. The potato salad was okay, but I would call it not far off from what you'd get in a bucket from HEB. Had me missing the quality sides from Interstellar 100%! We did pickup to split with friends and skip the line. In ordering ahead, you're not allowed to eat there. Unfortunately, they didn't provide any utensils or napkins for our BBQ picnic. Eat with those hands and lick them fingers!

This review is for their catering service. I work for a government entity and we are required to…read morereceive numerous quotes before choosing a vendor. We found Gebby's BBQ to be reasonably priced compared to other Austin BBQ restaurants. From the beginning, both Chris (The Owner and Master Pit Man) and Elizabeth to be extremely professional and prompt. Any questions or changes needed on the quote, they were on top of anything we needed. The day of the event, they arrived early as they said they would and set up quickly. The aroma of the food was wonderful throughout our venue. We had a handful of vegetarian/vegan employees and the offer a smoked vegetable tray with corn tortillas as one of their options. The food we chose was a 3 meat plate with 3 sides and cookies for the dessert. We chose Brisket, Turkey and Sausage. For the sides, we had Gouda Mac and Cheese, Creamed Corn and Beans. Everything was extremely delicious and the feedback I gathered from numerous employees was nothing but positive reviews on the food. They even allow us to KEEP the leftover food! This was awesome as we had a few bbq quotes that STATED that we could not keep the leftover food! Overall, our experience with them far exceeded our expectations and I would recommend them for your catering needs!
