This is my 2nd visit to have my nails done with Chic Nails & Lash Spa. Every time that I visit the front staff always greets me warmly and offers a refreshment. Though the prices are a bit higher than the nails salons that I've visted previously. It's worth the customer service and care that they provide. This time my nail technician was Lynn aka Linh. Manager started my polish removal at the bar left me 2 times for around 10 mins each without saying anything. I was left there confused because I had gone out of my way to make an appointment. I had gone in with my 2 friends and they were accused of not paying after they were waiting for me outside because my service took longer because they didn't have an actual nail tech available for my appointment time. This place has not been the best each time but I always came back out of convenience but I will no longer be giving them my business. Also when I asked my friends who accused them the receptionist intervened and said "no one was accusing you" while rolling her eyes. No one was speaking with her. Worst experience great look but work experience. I sat at the pedicure chair I sat for a few minutes I had to tell them to turn on the water. The turned on max temperature and walked off I had to ask for them to Turn it down. The pedicure was terrible and customer service match. Cut my toe filing a few times no apology. Used dirty tools on my feet. No look of sanitation tools or techniques. I asked if they put on lotion at the end which a normal last step but the tech said no which I no is a lie he didn't want to work this is not my first rodeo. Beautiful, clean, spacious, bright and in a convenient plaza with plenty of parking. Everyone was welcoming and I was guided to my chair right away at the time of my appointment. My only con for this place was the technician I got. He did an ok job. He could improve in some areas. He missed to clip some of my nails (toes) so some nails were long and other shorts. He didn't exfoliate my feet and scrub long enough, they weren't soft at the end of the session. He missed to paint the edges of my nails. I paid for an enhanced pedicure and I didn't feel that it was worthy. I didn't really get a massage it was very simple. Maybe I'm spoiled by my last experience at a Venetian salon. I've been coming here for about a year and it has never been bad until today. Jessica did my manicure. Part of this is obviously my fault because I didn't want to be rude / I thought maybe she would get better throughout the process. Horrible. If you want to pay a ridiculous amount on lousy quality and rushed service here's the place. I payed 100 dollars for a clear coat manicure and black gel pedicure where my nails were not cleaned, cuticles barely trimmed and dirt trapped under my clear coat nails. Not only that but the original color I asked for was done incorrectly and I settled on just black. I had to come back three times within two hours for them to fix it. My nail artist was Lena, she was very sweet and kind and did a good job on my nails. I got an acrylic set and a pedicure. I accidentally bumped my big toenail while drying and I asked the girls at the front desk to see if Lena could come and they "fixed" it for me. You can still see the huge bump on the nail and I had to specifically ask for a top coat to be put back on it. For the price I paid, I'm quite disappointed and I'm trying to figure out where I need to go to get it fixed now. Update: within 3 days I saw air bubbles forming at the base of my nails and within a week they are lifting and hair is getting stuck under them. Because she didn't push or trim my cuticles back they look like they are a 4 week old set when it's only been a week. I also had to ask her to cut my nails before gluing on the tips and then had to ask for them to be filed. Never experienced such a rushed service and the quality of them shows it. The came out cute but they do not hold up. Update #2: it has officially been 2 weeks and 3 days since I got my full set... and 7 out of 10 of my nails have lifted. For the past week I have had my hair getting stuck in my hair (iykyk) on 3 of my fingers and the others just kept lifting worse and worse. Today I had enough and removed them since 2 had completely popped off without me doing anything. Normally my acrylics last 4 weeks and I just have to get them filled. So sad. I've been going to this place for over a year and always had great service. When I called to schedule an appointment with the person I regularly see, Kha, I was informed he was no longer there. I was upset he was no longer there but didn't doubt a great experience. I brought my daughter with me for quality time as I normally do and she was done with her mani pedi before mine had even begun. The appointment was set at 1:30. Someone didn't come over to me until 2:15. I complained because I didn't understand the point of scheduling an appointment if I was waiting as if I was a walk-in. I totally understand it gets busy but the lack of communication was not okay. The person who was supposed to be taking care of me was caught up and they placed the young inexperienced guy with me. My nails were botched and someone else had to step in. Super bummed because these were supposed to be my birthday nails and I had to settle for something the person doing my nails could do. Left after 4 pm. Was there all that time just to walk out with black nails.. nothing fancy. The owner saw me leaving and knew we weren't having a good experience.. he didn't even say anything to us. Went here because of the great reviews. It seemed so clean and loved that they give you a drink. BUT I got cellulitis in my big toe after my pedicure. I asked them to not cut my toe nails at all and next thing I know, the guy was digging my ingrown out (barely ingrown and no reason to cut it). I've been to this salon a few times, and unfortunately the same issue keeps happening every single visit. The technicians themselves are great -- the pedicure I got today was beautiful, and the person who worked on me was professional and kind. My problem is always with the front desk woman, Nikki. Every time I try to tip on my credit card, she refuses and insists that I have to use Cash App, Zelle, or some other method. I don't carry cash, and tipping on the card is an option at every other salon, so it's extremely frustrating. This is actually the reason I stopped coming for a long time, but I decided to give it another chance today for my birthday. As soon as I asked her to add the $5 tip on my card, she immediately became aggressive and started raising her voice, telling me "every time you come I always tell you" in a rude and confrontational tone. I had to repeatedly tell her to calm down because she was escalating the situation for no reason. I also noticed she has notes under my number, which made me feel like I was being singled out and judged as a customer, rather than helped. It completely ruined what was otherwise a relaxing experience. I had already paid at that point, so there was absolutely no reason for her to speak to me that way. I even had to ask her to apologize to the technician because I wasn't allowed to leave the tip on the card. I don't think it's acceptable for customers to be harassed over something as simple as tipping, especially when the payment option exists and the customer is willing to tip. Until they change this policy -- or change the way customers are spoken to -- I won't be returning. read more

I have been coming to Ned for the last 3 years. I found him on Instagram and have been stuck like glue since. I usually come to him every 4-6 weeks because my nails don't lift. Every inspo photo I bring him he does it perfectly. He's affordable and takes his time. If I don't like something I just tell him. He doesn't mind because he wants me to love my nails. I've had him change colors mid design because I didn't like the color and he did it without complaint. He didn't make me feel bad for not liking the color. It was my first time there . It was a struggle in the beginning the male who started working on my nails wasn't the best at applying acrylic powder. I was extremely nervous and it was my first time ever having a male do my nails so I was very curious to see his talent . He ended up passing me off to someone else and that's always an interesting experience but thank god for that because I ended up with Nikki ! She was amazing . She was quick and executed the design I wanted perfectly. Her pedicure skills could use some work for my total to come out to 170. But the massage she gave me was amazing . I'm a nail salon connoisseur . The fact that no one offered me champagne as soon as I got started was very unusual in higher end salons . Nikki finally did offer me water once my manicure was almost done but I had water with me lol. I would have loved a drink menu. The atmosphere itself is very cramped especially because they sat me in the very back not the most pleasing seating and i almost thought they had a colorism issue the way they sat me and the other only darker skin tone girl in the very far back. But towards the end of my service there were two others closer to the front section. Scenery due to the cramped space is not my style but Nikki's work is . I have very sensitive hands and I'm not easiest customer so she definitely amazed me with her talent for my manicure. I need to guide her better for how I like with my pedicures. Will I go back .. yes . The price is higher for a lower ambiance and poor drink service but the work on my nails is worth it. I'm on a search for my new nail salon home this place is in the running .
