I bought a vehicle from Chicago Fine Motors for $9.950.00 on 2/1/22. The car appeared to be in excellent shape & was sold as such. I was told I had 15 days to return it for a refund so I did not look over the car, except what I can see walking around it & inside. A few days later I took it to a mechanic. Once up on the lift it was obvious that the vehicle was extremely hazardous & should not be on the road. The subframe was completely rusted through & falling apart to the point it was not even attached to the vehicle in spots. You do not need to be a mechanic or have intelligence of any kind to see this vehicle is a death trap and could fall apart at any second going down the road. I called to say I needed to return the vehicle as I'm within the time frame stated. They then told me the sales were final and the two week period was only for the engine and transmission (that is not what they told me). They also said since I financed the vehicle that there is no way to return it because they themselves have been paid. There is no way they did not know of the damage as they bought the vehicle out of state and brought it here. There is no way they didn't look under it. The only reason I didn't was because I was told I had 15 days return it. Being stuck with the vehicle I'm past 4000.00 in repairs so far. After checking BBB and Yelp, it turns out scamming people is their standard procedure. The mechanic supplied a written statement that the vehicle was unsafe to drive. I also kept the rotted out subframe, because the damage is indescribable. This is not a situation that was overlooked by the seller or an instance where cosmetic damage was covered up for the sale, but rather someone putting everyone around that vehicle in serious danger by hiding this in order to sell a vehicle. The vehicle was also missing the radio that they claimed they ordered & would call me the next week when it's in. Even though this is stated in writing, they never called about that. If I could list them as 0 stars or negative stars I would! I also contacted the Better Business Bureau regarding this and Chicago Fine Motors never bothered to respond. The BBB forwarded the matter on to the State's Attorney since they did not respond and they are causing major safety issues for Illinois consumers! Hopefully the Illinois State's Attorney will handle them accordingly! read more

please do not buy at chicago fine motors. they sold my 17 yr old daughter a car that is not safe to drive, -bought it on 01/28 - came home with 4 different types of tires and 1 tire is bigger than the other -all the warning signs on the dashboard came on (name it , its on!! ) -leaking oil -breaks are worn out - airbags not working - and more repairs worth almost 10k this type of car should not be in the lot at all for sale! sisco, mike (the sales manager) was not very helpful. sisco was yelling at me on the phone upset that i took the car to another shop for diagnosed. -car is still in the shop since we purchased. kids never get to use it, never even got the chance to look at inside of the car. - chicago fine motors is a disgrace, sells car that are not safe to drive. -- police dept that i talked too told me that complaints about chicago fine motors is non stop due to consistency of selling cars that are bad. people s complaints are all the same but they cant do anything about it because its not a criminal issue. even the shop said the same thing. this is nightmare for my daughter's first time experienced buying a car. i hope my situation will help people see how bad chicago fine motors is and use this to guide them and prevent them from making transations with sisco, mike (sales manager) and the company period!. karma will get them back! read more

I was in need of a car and found Chicago Fine Motors on Craigslist. I've never liked dealing with car salesman, I find them dishonest, and only interested in a sale. This was not the case here. When I got there, Phil was very nice. I walked in, he was on the phone. He paused his phone call to greet me, then added feel free to look around and if you have any question don't hesitate to ask. I like the "no pressure" approach. I hate it when I go car shopping and have a salesman breathing down my neck. I stumbled across a nice silver VW. After asking a few question about the car I took if for a test drive and liked it. The car did have a decent amount of miles on it (around 100K) but for cars these days that's nothing and the price was right. He did offer me a finance option but I had the cash so why not just pay the whole thing up front. All things said I would highly recommend this dealership to friends and family looking for a vehicle. read more

When I found this place on Car Gurus, I was interested in one of their cars and called them up and set up a meeting. Upon arrival, this tall man who I never learned the name of approached me asking what I could use help with. I told him I was here to see a car and he walked me and my family though the showroom to browse at some options. Mind you, the entire time this baby faced man had his Air Pods in and was constantly glued to his phone, acting as if I was inconveniencing him. I found a nice looking car midway through the selection process and as I was investigating it, this man appeared to keep getting nervous and reassuring me the car is in "excellent mechanical condition." However, as I suspected, the car was in an okay condition. There were several pretty obvious and slightly costly repairs that needed to be done and they refused to shave off more than a measly $200! Mind you, all of this was occurring before I even test drove it. After driving it, it was apparent the car wasn't amazing and certainly not worth the price they were selling it for. Cisco was the man who closed the deal with me and he sold me a car that had many underlying issues. He gave me the same "15 day, 500 mile warranty" that other reviews mentioned and sent me on my way. I didn't even get to drive it off the lot before first having to take it to their shady mechanic down the road to have him put on license plate clips that I could have done myself. Finally, after getting the car home, it was very apparent that the dealership was very incompetent at car knowledge. Mentioning that the roof had paint damage when in reality it just had not been washed. As well as the car coming with a cracked rim and many other undisclosed problems with that car. These people are liars who just want to make a quick buck and thats IT. The only way you could have a nice experience with these two is if you somehow manage to buy one of their overpriced cars and you get lucky enough not to get it with any underlying issues. Either way, the baby faced man with the air pods was disrespectful and unprofessional to his customers and cisco is a sick man for pretending to be honest and not disclosing issues before getting a car. These people are scum. You know that awful car dealership you were always warned about? This is them in a fancy looking warehouse. They talk big and deliver half assed dangerous crap. Bought a car, the battery cables were shot, fixed it. Went to change oil and the drain plug was JB-Welded on so the whole pan had to go. The hatch back isn't lined up so there is a ton of noise on the highway. Tail lights are cracked, backup camera never worked, windshield wiper reservoir leaks badly. Basically I regret buying my car. I regret buying from this place. Chris is full of it, they knew the issues and didn't care to even detail the car. Go to a real dealer, you'll pay more but, it's worth not getting ripped off. read more

I know times are crazy but not one single employee or customer were wearing a mask. Not even attempting to wear a mask. All just walking around the small office like no big deal. It's a shame because there were a handful of cars we were interested in but we just didn't feel comfortable being around so many people with no masks for any period of time. THIS PLACE IS A BIG SCAM! Wish I read everyone's reviews beforehand. I call Cisco from Chicago "Fine" Motors. Set up an appointment, asked if there's any issues with 2 vehicles they have because its such a long drive I don't want to make waste my time if so. Tell him I'm driving 4 hours to see him. Show up and they said he's not there and acted like it was a struggle for them to help me. So then we go look at the vehicles, the young kid is trying to smooth talk through the sale. I simply said let me look it over my own because he is not inclined to talk about anything mechanical. I start the engine and there a ticking noise. Look up what that is and its a lifter problem on the engine which could ruin the cam. So said forget this. Look at the other vehicle and it has a leaking sunroof they tried hiding. As I was looking at these vehicles they drive a bmw by and its making all sorts of noise. I believe they buy all auction vehicles or (clean) vehicles that are appealing to the eye and are junk. Places like this do not need to be in business. Cant believe these salesmen can go home at night feeling good about ripping people off. I bought a Masertai about a YEAR and HALF and I received it with a cracked windshield and promised to replace it once it got here which was " in a few weeks" because it was coming from California, so I waited and COVID hit and they hit me with the COVID excuse that it was in back up order and the sales man that sold me the car ( Marc) did nothing to try AND help the situation he just stopped replying to my text and calls and told me I had to talk to the manager now. So I talk to the manager and tells me he ordered a new one because the one that had came in had came in broken so I had to wait longer and now I'm here still with no windshield after 1 year and A HALF so Now they'll have to deal with it in court because I have all the paper work stating they owe me the windshield. I sent an inquiry about a pre-owned Volkswagen and scheduled an appointment for a test drive for two days later. I traveled almost two hours to the appointment only to be informed by my salesman that the car had been sold the day prior. He was apologetic that I was not notified, and promised to try to find another vehicle for me. I was very disappointed, but I hope some resolution can come out of this. Please do not go to this dealership!!!!!!!!! This is by far the worst car dealership that I have ever been to in my life. Walking into the door you can tell this place is shady. The workers don't really care for you nor do they try to sell the car to you. But me I still decided to purchase a Maserati Gibli and the car was complete trash. From the get go the check engine light was on then they said that it's no problem it's just a sensor and they will fix it right away. They fix the car and the check engine light went off. But soon as I got the car back I was driving to work and what do you know the car begins to smoke, turns out I blew a head gasket and had to get the entire engine replaced. Though they helped with the repairs they decided to go to a really cheap place that did not do a good job with fixing the car it took 6 months to get my car back. And soon as I get the car back 3 days later. The whole engine went out once again. Worst purchase ever. Speakers blown out, tires needed to be replaced, a/c broken, blown head gasket, exhaust leak, leaking coolant and the list goes on and on. They say that there is a 15 day return policy but coincidentally it took over 15 days for them to "repair the sensor" worst decision ever to step in to the dealership please repeat please do not waste your time and money over $10,000 was wasted trying to repair this car and when I tried to trade it back into them they said they did not want it at all. read more

So far so good. I emailed Chicago Fine Motors on Oct 3 2018 and i got a friendly email back the next morning providing me background on the car's history. I visited them today Oct 5 2018. I called ahead to let them know i was coming down. I live about 50 mins away so i thought it would make sense to call ahead. I asked for Francisco (the guy who answered the phone when i called) but he wasn't there. Mike another salesman asked if he could help me. We took a look at the car for sale and it was pretty much in the condition as described. Except, they dont buff, wax or fix cosmetic issues found with there cars. At first, i was unhappy to see that but Mike explained that's how they keep there overhead low. Hopefull they pass that savings down to the buyers. The door panel was loose. Mike said that they would fix thay for me. Another gentleman came out to see if he could help with the sales process. I think his name was Phil, possibly manager/owner. He seemed interested in making sure i was happy. Anyway, they have a very large selection of cars. All indoors. It's a very casual place but with a variety of higher end cars. However, it seems like they prefer to deal with internet customers rather than in-person customers. Overall, they seem genuine and not too pushy. I plan on going back tomorrow or Mon to buy the car. My daughter and I went to look at a used car she saw on the internet. We received the standard mantras of: Are you ready to buy today? There's a man who was in yesterday and is coming back today because he wants to buy the car. We did purchase a car after a test drive, a mechanical check (from the dealership mechanic) and assurances that the car was in good condition. After we purchased the car we discovered there were repairs needed that weren't disclosed or were misrepresented. 1. My daughter drove the car home on the highway and it started shaking. She took it to the mechanic we use and was told to stay off the highway because it's dangerous to drive the car over 45 mph. The alternator drive belt and outer tire rod need to be replaced. The test drive my daughter took did not include highway driving. When I called the salesperson to discuss the problems he said that test drives on the highway weren't allowed because of insurance reasons. 2. The mechanic we use told my daughter that it wasn't safe to drive the car in the rain because the rear brake pads needed to be replaced. The mechanic the dealership uses did diagnostic testing. The mechanic did not identify anything except why an airbag light stayed on. I asked the salesperson why the mechanic didn't identify the brake pads as a concern. I was told that the diagnostic testing was for mechanicals and didn't include things like the brakes or engine. 3. Before purchasing the car my daughter asked if the tires were ok. The salesperson said they look good. Two tires need replacement. 4. We weren't told that a front headlight is out. 5. The bill of sale has a section on the contract disclosure statement for used cars. It is identified as a window form that "overrides any contrary provisions in the contract of sale." We were never shown a window form. 6. The bill of sale lists an optional ERT fee. We weren't told of the fee or that it is optional. 7. The trunk doesn't lock. 8. The dashboard had to be replaced. This is a luxury car? The dealer refused to let us return the car or to pay for the repairs needed to make the car safe. The dealer said its mechanic would give us a 50% discount on his repair cost. The same mechanic that said the car was in good condition? No thanks. The Better Business Bureau has contacted the dealership, which has yet to respond. The dealership has complaints that were filed with the Illinois Attorney General's Office and the Federal Trade Commission. Buyer beware. Update: Rated C- by BBB. Dealer received letter from attorney general office. Seems to be ignoring it. read more

I purchased a vehicle at this Dealership on 8/29/2019. Thirty minutes after driving off of the lot the vehicle shut off on me. I contacted the dealer the next day and advised that my new vehicle had turned off. I was told to bring it in so they could take a look at it. They inspected the car and told me they took it to their mechanic, and found that there was an issue with a sensor that was causing the car to shut off. I was told that there would be no further issues with the vehicle. Two days later the tire pressure monitor light came on the dash. I made sure all of the tires on the vehicle were well inflated, and the light still did not turn off. I called the dealership again and was advised I would need to take the vehicle to an NTB or tire facility to have the sensor reset. The next week my brake light came on. I took the vehicle in to have an oil change and be checked out, and was advised there were no fluids in the vehicle. A couple of days after all fluids were replenished the brakes went out on my vehicle and I had to spend hundreds to get the it repaired. This vehicle is a 2014 Hyundai Elantra that I am paying a car note on. To have to pay a car note and pay for costly repairs is alot for me. I am a single Mother trying to make ends meet and I feel like I was sold a lemon. I called the Dealership and talked to AJ the Manager. He advised that he recently took over the dealership and is trying to change the procedure where cars are inspected, fluids are filled, and all cars are driven before selling. He also advised that there was nothing further they could do for me. read more

Stay away. Cars are not nearly as immaculate as they claim. A veloster that we looked at was clearly in a front end collision previously. The pinstriping on the sides came to an abrupt stop when it got to the front fenders on both sides and the hood gaps did not line up correctly. 3/8" gap on 1 side and 1/16" gap on the other. We were not allowed to test drive anything until we filled out a credit app and were approved. We did end up purchasing a different vehicle from them (big mistake) and when we were filling out the paperwork I noticed it mysteriously added up to $1000 more than the sticker price. There were 2 mystery charges that they failed to mention. A $295 documentation fee and a $695 transportation and inspection fee. What the.....????? I followed my daughter home in her new car and noticed a tail light out. The tire low pressure light was on and the next day when I went for an oil change it was a quart low on oil. I paid $695 for an inspection that never occured. Go somewhere else. Do not buy a car from these crooks. Very bad business practices. I'm kicking myself for not walking away when I first had a bad feeling. read more

They where very disrespectful, rude and did not want to fix the situation all. Had to involve Attorney General in legal action against CFM on grounds of the lemon law. My son-in-law needed a car and spotted a Chevy Sonic with low miles, about 40,000, on the Chicago Fine Motors website. The price was very reasonable and the car was in nice condition. I went back there with him and saw, Marc, the salesman he had dealt with who explained, since the car needed a jump to start due to someone leaving the interior lights on over night that he would put in a new battery to be sure if he bought the car. Also the radio needed replacement since it didn't work. That didn't deter us and my son-in-law test drove the car. It ran great so he bought it and before he drove off Marc made sure to have someone come to the dealership and install a new battery. Marc made sure my son-in-law had an appointment at the mechanics for the installation of a new radio within 2 days; it was a Saturday when he bought the car. Unfortunately the next morning the car wouldn't start. He got a jump start and my son-in-law took the car to the mechanics which was only 6 blocks from his home. After about 2 days the mechanics there could not get the radio repaired. But they revealed to us that with the radio disconnected and fuse removed the car ran and started fine. My son-in-law called Marc the salesman who then had the car picked up. He arranged another shop to replace the radio with the assistance of the manager, AJ, who really went out of his way to buy a nice new JVC radio, and have it installed. While the car was being brought back to the dealership from the radio installation shop it was discovered that unfortunately this radio either wasn't compatible with this Chevy or something else. Not quite sure but it appeared there was more than just a radio problem and something had been draining the battery which the first mechanic shop couldn't figure out. AJ then personally had the car taken to another local mechanic who did find the problem and AJ also kept us updated while the car was at the mechanics. I must admit I was concerned that my son-in-law bought a bad car, but both my son-in-law and I waited patiently. Finally, the car was ready and my son-in-law is extremely satisfied and has had no problems with the car since. The dealership stood by the contract, especially, AJ, and covered all expenses for whatever was wrong. I was there when he bought the car and Marc made sure to put on the sales contract that they would replace the battery and fix the radio problem which was honest. Thanks to both Marc and AJ. Amazing how terrible the service is at this fly by night dealer. Don't ask them to provide any assistance during the sale process, they are perpetually "understaffed" and "only a one man operation". While I was attempting to purchase a high mileage European car from this joker, I took the (basic and completely normal) step of finding a shop to do a pre purchase inspection which Phil informed me would be no problem after about a week or ten days and two or three missed appointments, Phil decided to actually call me back. He sold me some nonsense about being way too busy to get the car to the shop despite the shop being three blocks away. He then had the gall to suggest me viewing the car in person as an alternative to the inspection. After I asked him if that was really the most convenient option, given that I live 650 miles away, and he flat out told me "that is the most convenient option" with Ero trace of irony. This guy's should be an inductee into the BS hall of fame. Anyway, after jerking me around for another ten days and blowing off my shop twice more he stated on a friday, that on Monday he would get the car in for inspection. He blow that off & never even bothered to call. On the following Friday; after I completed a deal on another vehicle that I found, had inspected, negotiated a price and paid for in a week; I called Phil to inform him that I had found another vehicle. He picks up the phone, doesn't even address that he blew me off for a full week and asks "if I am still interested in the car?" At this point I lose it, bring up how rude and unhelpful he has been for the past & that he basically blew off a gaurenteed sale due to his careless, dismissive, & completely uncooperative attitude...his excuse: "he's a one man operation." I sure wish I worked in a job where I could be rude, blow off customers and validate my total lack of positive contribution with that kind of evasive junk. However I live I the real world where people are accountable and you have to reconcile your actions with there effects and be accountable for them. Must be nice though. read more

Bought a used Volkswagen gti from this "dealer" very rude people. Only in it for the money. After nearly one week the car is parked in my drive way not drive able. All they did befor I bought it was rant and rave about how great the car was and how great of shape it was in. Yes it looks nice in and out but it the motor that makes a car go and when it's junk you have no car. I wound not recommend this dealer to any one not even some one I dislike. Buyer beware!!! Would get a thorough inspection if you ever decide to purchase a car from this kid. He will lie straight to ur face. Car had major hidden engine problem that he def knew about. Partially my fault should have brought it somewhere. Long story short a year later I'm out a vehicle. Be careful read more

I walked into Chicago fine motors and was approached by Chris D. Who was very nice and easy to talk to. After talking with Chris for a few minutes and explaining my financing situation, he assured me that it wouldn't be an issue getting me financed through one of their banks. I told Chris what I was looking for and he showed me a few options. I told him I was kinda interested in a Jeep Wrangler so he showed me the 2008 that they just got in and I immediately wanted it. We went out for a test drive after I filled out a credit application and when we got back they said they were able to get me approved! I ended up purchasing this vehicle and it has given me nothing but summer fun! Overall my experience at Chicago fine motors was great and in no way was I pressured to make a purchase. Don't buy your car from here. I bought a used q50 Infiniti started having problems with the vehicle the next day. Contacted dealership about it they said they would take care of it never did. I was told they order the parts I needed and that they would give me a call when the parts got there's. The parts never got there.Then I took the car back twice to their mechanic. Picked up the car same problem happened again. Called the mechanic shop and asked what they did to the car and said that they were instructed not to replace the catalytic converters which was the main problem that they said they were going to replace. So I was with out a car for 2 days thinking it was getting fixed when nothing was being done to fix the cars problem. Side note when I picked up the car there was drinks in there that were not my drinks. Car had to have both catalytic converters replaced which was a 2500 dollar job they only covered half of one catalytic converter so I got a 690 check the cars driveshaft was also rubbing against the transmission that was another 1000 job they covers half again. Over all not worth the hassle. Buy your car elsewhere and save your self some peace of mind, money and time. This dealership is not honest. read more
