Uggggg..why is it so hard to find a good bbq spot in the South Suburbs. I had very high hopes when I saw a crowd, and smelled the wonderful aroma of bbq in the air. I ordered a wing/tip combo with mix sauce price was around $14. Got it home and the wings looked like they came off a Cornish hen and they hid the tips under the fries. So this place is a huge disappointment! The food at the other locations is always good so the same is expected at the Chicago Heights location but getting to the food is hard because of the customer service. These are the most disrespectful rude nasty attitude having people I've encountered in a restaurant. The man that took my order is clearly angry about something other than his damn job. I can't see why this place gets the business it does cause with the poor service the food is good but not fantastic. Let me start by saying that I have been a patron of this restaurant since they first opened. The food is great, and although you have to wait for your order at times, it's well worth it. I usually place my orders online, but when I tried, online ordering was shut down for the night. So I called and placed my order, bucket of tips with mixed sauce. The woman that I spoke to on the phone was very pleasant. I asked how long it would take for my order to be ready, and she told me to make my way there. I get there, and tell the gentleman at the counter that I was picking up an order, gave him the name and told him what I ordered. He went in the back, came back and told me that my order would be ready in 10-15 minutes. I go sit in my car for 10 minutes, then I came back in. Asked if my order was up, he said that some orders were getting ready to come out. He goes in the back and comes back with my order, and calls me up to the counter. He repeats my order, and it is with mild sauce, not mixed. I tell him that it's supposed to be mixed, and he says that it's mild, and whoever placed the order said mild. I tell him that I placed the order, and I know I said mixed. Then he says to me, "Well, it's mild, so what you gone do." I get super irritated by his arrogance, and there was a back and forth that got heated. I asked for a refund, and he says to me that there are no refunds. So basically, this man is standing here telling me that they couldn't have possibly gotten my order wrong, that because the ticket said mild, that is what I ordered, and that I had no choice but to take it. After I told him that he didn't even take my order, a woman did, he decided to give me my refund If this gentleman would have simply apologized and corrected my order, I would have waited. I wasn't asking for any more than that. I even asked him during our back and forth if he could put some hot over the mild. He was so rude, so arrogant, and so very disrespectful that I will not spend another dime there. It's a shame, because I really loved that place. I normally order the same thing each time when I go here, which is Turkey tips, I never have any problems they be tender and have great flavor. Today I ordered a large Turkey tip and they had zero flavor. No seasoning, smoke or anything. Just bbq sauce. I'm not sure what the problem is today but I didn't enjoy my food at all. Their saving grace is the food is usually a hit with a couple of misses here and there. The appearance leaves a lot to be desired. The customer service at the window is normally decent, over the phone not so much. THE WAIT TIME IS ATROCIOUS!! If you call ahead they'll tell you 25 mins, when you get there they'll tell you 15 -20 mins (when the sign says, if you call ahead you'll have a 10 min wait) but you still end up waiting 40 min- an hour+. Their prices have gone up a substantially as well. If someone like Alice's comes to the far Southside or to the South Suburbs, all the Pit Stop locations will be history. read more

First, let me say that I have patronized this location many times & have had mostly good experiences. There is a wait sometimes but the food is worth it. Today I placed an order online & when I arrived there was a line outside the facility due to social distancing. This is understandable but there was no system in place for those of us who had already paid. I waited 45 minutes for an order that I was told was sitting on the counter waiting for me. When I called their customer service line to suggest that they do curbside service for people who had already paid for their food and had orders that were ready, which would help the line get smaller & contribute to social distancing. I was hung up on. When I called back the person that hung up on me identified himself as the owner. This was a shock to me because he made it very clear that he did not care that I had been a long time customer and that I had already paid my money. Additionally, he told me not to worry about the other people in line. It doesn't sound like he appreciates his customers. I don't know if I can ever spend money in this place again. read more

This place is exactly what you would expect. Surprised that it was so crowded, even more surprised that you can order online, and that they will take and place the order! Before you complain about the 30+ min wait time, please consider everything is being made fresh AND it may be some of the best BBQ here in the Heights. I ordered the catfish and was blown away by the flavor!! Perfectly cooked and seasoned this is something I will most definitely order again. Soon! The customer service is terrible. I ordered a large tip and was waiting patiently. All the customers in the restaurant was complaining about the long wait. One man waited for over 1 hour and they got his order wrong. He slammed his food against the wall and yelled some obscenities. When the young man came out to clean up the food. Don't patronize this establishment, don't waste your time. My first time here and my last time here. Placed an $100 order at 11:30 AM to be picked up at 4:00 PM. When I arrived at 4:30 the order still wasn't ready. I had to wait an extra half hour For them to complete my order and it was still incorrect. At 5:30 PM (1.5hour late) I decided to ask for a refund for the remainder of my items and they gave me an attitude.
