I order from CPA at least once a week and will continue as long as I live in Elgin. Everything has been delicious every time we eat in, take out, or have delivery. The only item on their menu that I am not fond of is their wings, other than that everything have been great! I even hosted a baseball themed bridal shower at their restaurant and it was wonderful. After not eating here for awhile I decided to try it again since I was in the area. I ordered delivery for 4 people. An hour and a half went by and I had to call them to check the status of the order.. they said it was leaving in a few minutes. As a customer, sometimes it's better to hear you forgot something or your running behind and that's why food is running late. We were told it would be within the hour; implying less than an hour. It took 2 hours and 2 delivery trips, as they had forgot an entire meal after I had to call 4 times to check the delivery status. I'm disappointed in their service, as they never used to be this bad. They didn't seem sorry for forgetting our orders or being late until I called the 2nd time and the 4th time when asking where the missing food was. I only order takeout or delivery. If you get pizza delivered it almost always arrives cold and they skimp on the pizza sauce. They send their drivers on 4 deliveries at a time so it'll take 2 hours to get your delivery. When it's good it's good and when it's bad it's horrible. They also charge for an extra side of ranch or extra pickles. Coming from someone who's ordered 30 times cause the pizza in Elgin is mostly terrible. Good ribs though read more

Best pizza in town if your a local this your best mom and pop pizza shop don't go to the others . They have great pasta here,good poppers, garlic bread , brownie , and don't get me started with the pizza. I order here all the time and the drivers are nice. You will mainly get the same drivers all the time witch is ok . When the drivers forget things they don't have an attitude about going back and getting your stuff. My only issue with this place is when they mess up your order they will say they can credit you , but when you call back the next day about your store credit they act like it's non existent and they haven't messed up your order this happens to me alllllll the time . I usually just say give me store credit so I won't have the driver run back and forth to delivery a screw up , not to mention the staff but now , I ask them to redeliver because they will not put your "credit" on your account read more

Placed an order online to be delivered about 40 minutes before closing time.....no way to enter a credit card online.......ok.....I call to give them my credit card and "the manager" said it was his first day and he didn't know how to enter a credit card that way......finally took the card number and placed the order.....then called back and said one of the items I ordered off their online menu, they don't carry anymore.....so i got something else, then "a driver" calls me back and tells me that the manager didn't want to call me and tell me that he "accidentally" turned off the pizza oven and it will take 45 minutes to turn them back on then cook your pizza then deliver it, so you just want to cancel?", I couldn't believe what I was hearing. So after he basically told me that they were now closed I told him to have a manager call me the next day........no call..........so I go to their website and send in an email to let the upper management know what happened and that they have incompetent people working for them in their later hours.......no response. This place clearly does not give a damn about customer service because I have never seen a place just ignore customers. They will not be getting my business anymore, not that I am too disappointed, the food is ok at best and I only order it because they are open later than everyone else. I have always liked their pizza. It's always been delivered hot, correctly, in a timely manner & tasted great. Recently I placed an order for myself at home. I got delivery and added the tip onto the total online. Once I got the delivery and was handed the receipt to sign I confirmed that the tip was printed on the receipt with the subtotal and added in to the total, and did not write an additional tip on the printed line. I'm not sure the driver was aware that the tip was already on there, because I've never had anybody call out from their car "hey thanks for the tip!" I tip decent (a rounded up 20%) so I was completely caught offguard by this. read more

This place knows what they are doing with a bargain pizza. The pizza comes hot, cheese, meat, and everything stays together on the pizza no matter how many toppings. You know how some pizza have toppings that slide off and everything but the crust is back on your plate, they have mastered this lol...hope this helps. The pizza is good, but since they changed locations, they no longer have the buffet. It was a great salad and pizza buffet where they asked you when you came in what kind of pizza you would like to have them put out on the buffet. read more

CPA is a great local eatery. The pizza special for 2 is our favorite. Yummy thin crust, If you love beef sandwiches, Theirs is a winner. I order the Beef with mozzarella cheese dry and dipping juice on the side ... you get the sandwich with the bread roll toasted to perfection. Randy is a great server ! read more

My husband & I get the 4 piece country fried chicken. We love the crispiness and moisture of the chicken. We have ordered the deep dish pizza which I am a fan of while my husband prefers the thin crust. Want to try other items on the menu but always go back to our favorites. I like this place and have eaten here since I was a kid. Delivery is always speedy and I always know what I'm going to get which is what I look for with pizza. My only issue is that it can sometimes be extremely greasy. It's pizza, I know, but sometimes it's just a little too much. However, that really doesn't take away from how good the food is. My wife and I have always ordered delivery from this place and we will not be ordering again as the last time they said it would be 45 min for the food and it ended up being an hour and a half! This is just ridiculous for delivery time and while we love their food (have not tried the pizza though), there are much faster places out there that are just as good. Lived in Elgin all my life. Ordered CPA for years. Once they moved next to Jewel they went downhill. Watch your orders especially delivery and pick up. There is a girl, Natalia, (I believe that's her name) who will shiest you every single time. We've complained a couple times, which we never do anywhere else, but her dad is a manager so it goes no where other than a credit on account. We don't care for credits. Fix the problem. If we were mischarged here and there it's fine if fixed. But if every time there is an issue its ridiculous. I'm thinking this will be our last time ordering delivery or pick-up. Maybe stick to dining room. Papa Johns delivers all over Elgin and so does Moretti's. CPA has officially lost our delivery and carry-out business. Completely deserved. OH!!! The ONLY positive in that place is in the dining room with waiter Randy. He's great at customer service has an awesome sense of humor and has been there several years. Love this place. Love the servers, Randy is great and Melanie is a doll. They are friendly and good at what they do. We go there regularly just to have lunch and talk with Randy. Food is good, there have been some exceptions but don't all restaurants have an off day? I would recommend going there. Only giving 1 star because every time we order from here they either forget something in our delivery or the food is wrong but we love the Italian beef sandwiches so we are always clear that we like the sandwich dry but the first time we got a soup sandwich basically and they were great about bringing us new sandwiches! Well today my son ordered and our previous order they forgot our 6 pack of soda so he used the credit to pay for part of the order anyway get the sandwich and again it's soup however this time the manager refused to do anything because he used his credit so if you order from here be sure to pick it up and check your food as far as delivery go somewhere else!! The manager was very rude and now the sandwich is going in the garbage! I am a hard working single mother so ordering out is a treat for us and can't afford to do it all the time also I have been in the industry for over 16 years you don't treat customers that way ever all my son wanted was a new sandwich and because it was a partial credit because we paid for something we never got and now can't eat the replacement so we will never order from here again and also take my office catering somewhere else as well!! read more

My family and I have been going to CPA since they have opened, I have never went there and there was no lettuce in the bowl or no sauces on the sandwiches. Everything I have ever had was great!. What did you walk in when it was just about ready to close but they were still nice enough to serve you lol. Good, stay away we do not want people who lie about a nice place like CPA. My husband and I went to Chicago Pizza Authority last Friday at 5:45pm because we had heard all the "hype" that this was the best around. Walked-in and was "spotted" by the only waitress on duty, who told us to sit anywhere. It's a small dining room and was filled to half capacity. The tables that were not in use by customers were dirty so we took the only clean table at the back of the dining room (very small two person area). Without getting us a menu the waitress ask if we were getting the buffet? The buffet consists of a salad bar and pizza bar. Since we arrived during dinner time we expected the pizza bar to have plenty of pizzas to choose from. There were no pizzas out. We then proceeded to the salad bar (very nice, moderate selection). Many other patrons were waiting for pizza as well. At one point the waitress said seven pizzas were in the oven. After about 20 minutes one pizza came out. That pizza did not last long. It was another 20 minutes before 3 more pizzas made it to the buffet. These pizzas were of mediocre quality. The crusts were chewy, sauce was average and had to blot the tops of the pizza to remove all the grease. During this time the waitress spent most of the time talking to people she knew and not paying much attention to the other customers in the place. CPA did not live up to expectations. read more
