I've been going here since they first opened and have never considered anywhere else! I love how conveniently this place is to my work, the special attention I recieve every time, and how my schedule is respected. With my busy schedule, it's important to be able to pop in during lunch. Just this past week, I had a sudden problem with my left wrist and hand and regretfully walked into another chiropractors office (no names mentioned!) just because it was a block away from where I live. This doctor had me waiting around while he kept running to other appointments while "working" on me. Then I was told the only solution to my problem was to buy $30 vitamins which I would have to take3xs a day for 2 months in order to decrease the inflamation in my wrist and hand. Feeling no better, I called in an emergeny at Chicago Spine and Joint Care and was seen within hour, despite it being the end of the day on a Friday. I particularly appreciate the candid talk -- Dr. Matt Neusse isn't afraid to be realistic and gave me simple easily managable solutions, like ice and ibprofen. Of course, my inflamation was virtually gone the next morning. I always like Dr. Matt as a doctor, but since seeing other chiropractors, I IMMENSELY appreciate Chicago Spine and Joint Care. I was very nervous about seeing a chiropractor and wondered how one could help. When I met Dr Nuesse all of my fears faded away. He was (and still is) very patient with me. He listens to everything and lets me ask a ton of questions; ranging from completely absurd to the super logical--"if you stop doing that the pain will go away!" kind. He has helped me pinpoint problems, made them go away, and helped me become much more aware of my body and how it works. Also Dr Nuesse gives great feedback about self care and what I can be doing to help myself. Thorough, caring, professional -- he knows his stuff. In describing his adjusting technique, I would say he's 'an artist' -- he doesn't adjust it until he finds the exact spot, and then it's painless and swift. No yanking your neck around trying to find it. He does everything he can but he doesn't do more than is necessary. He's there to heal, not bring in the bucks by prolonging your situation. I took my 14 year- old daughter here for treatment of neck, lower back and knee pain. Memories of a painful and ineffective adjustment made her a bit nervous about the visit, but a 30 minute massage with Kara left her relaxed and purring like a kitten! Dr. Rowell took time to explain what he was going to do and was very gentle and thorough. He gave her an illustrated booklet of exercises to do and answered all of our questions. Dr. Rowell is my NEW Chiropractor. Great staff, clean office and near my job which is VERY important. I'm starting to develop a slight hump in my neck front looking at a computer all day and he assures me that he can fix it. I trust his knowledge.
