Called around looking for a tire shop that fixed after market cracked rims. I called the number but did not receive an answer. 10 minutes go by they call back. Great as not many other shops offer the service on fixing rims. I arrived here a small but quaint shop. The owner took a look at the rim after needing to break the rim lock because I did not have the key. He then found a key they had for the wheel locks and gave it to me for free, which was great. He took a look at the rim and Called over the guy who specializes in rim repairs. He put the spare on, and within 2 hours they rim looks practically brand new. Tiny little tire shop in west Logan Square. I had a nail in my tire in a Sunday morning. I got in there quickly. You have to pull up in the alley. They have a spot for one vehicle. It cost me $40 to fix the flat. Seems a little pricey, but they were friendly and got it done right away. read more

Bought used tire for 80$ it is ok because it was late night. I had to dismount whole wheel and hand it to a tire shop guy. After i installed a tire back it started to cause noise while driving, i thought it is a wheel bearing problem and went to a mechanic who examined and told that tire is not even and it has wavy surface which was causing intermittent sounds. Went there just to check if they could help me replace it but they said they have never seen me. Just for the reference i had my car video recorded how i pulled in there. But did not want to argue with a guy and left this to his karma. Just beware and check what you buy from this place. My experience was not good, wasted time and money. Called to ask for tire replacement. Sounded very shady on the phone since the reviews all look fake to me. After telling him the exact model of the tire, he said he has it in store but when asked about price, he said he doesn't give price over phone. I politely asked why and since I have to drive 25 mins, I'd rather know the price to see if it is within my budget so nobody has to waste their time and energy. He completely ignored it and instead became noticeably angry and snarky. In short, he said he doesn't care and I have no choice as in that's what I will have to do anyways... the nerve in this guy. In this own words to quote, he said "for you... you have to come here... it's a necessity" I blocked his ass after that. And now I did a social service by writing review. Took my car their and the old guy tried removing the first lug nut with a power tool and stripped the threads then told me I needed to take it to a mechanic. These guys have no idea what they are doing and I never was able to get my tire changed it just had a small bubble in it that's why I took it there but now I have hundreds of dollars in repairs to cover for trying to get a cheap repair. :( read more

I've been using RV to fix flats since the 80s. Recently I purchased two new tires. I didn't have time to shop and compare prices in advance so I hoped for the best. We were driving through Plymouth IN when the rear tire on our motor home for sidewall damage. It was Saturday night and nothing in town was open on Sunday. I googled and found RV Tire Shop in Chicago open on Sundays. We went and the used tire he had had a tear on it and so we ordered a new one for install on Monday. Ramon the owner suggested that we park at Palmer Square and it was a cute place. On Monday he had the tire by 2 pm and we had it installed. The tire was a good quality and the price was great at $225 including install which was cheaper than other quotes we got. The only reason for losing a star was because the tire began leaking air about a day later. I checked it out and it looks like he damaged the stem extension in the install. I took it off and it stopped leaking. read more

I stopped in because it was the closest place to me on the way home. I noticed my tire light was on and low pressure. Tire has a screw in it. My usual place was too far. I know most places charge 10 to 15 bucks. I guess I looked desperate or stupid. He tells me $20. I asked him if he was serious and he said yeah. So I start to leave he then lowers the price. So, after the flat on my car was replaced with the spare I needed to get the tire fixed. I drove over here because it's very close to my house. The owner (?) while a man of few words was able to replace my tire with a new one for $35. How is this possible? I'm pretty sure I have paid over $100 for tires before?? He had it done within 10 minutes and even told me that the other tires were OK for now. I was ready to replace them all! Best of the best tire shops in the city. First off I went to Firestone and they told me I needed 4 new tires. I then went to another cooperate tire shop they told me I only needed one new tire and they couldnt patch my tire. Well not R-V tires they patched my tire no problem. It's great too see a buisness run on honesty and not run by the dollar. Just because of that I will only come to R-V. Cheap and honest tires plus I no longer live near by I drive for miles for these guys. Putting on a spare and driving is cheaper than getting ripped off. read more

So today get home from work this afternoon and notice my tire looks a bit low. I had just put air in it three nights ago and the tire pressure sensor was still on. I call around and 1 other place is closing and are not willing to wait 10 minutes for me to drive over. I am and have been aware of RV's being a resident in this are for 35+ years. So I decide to look this place up as it is down the street. Did not have to get out of the car. I was lucky it was cold and I was the only one here as it gets crazy busy in the summer! Anyway, honest fast work. 10 minutes - nail removed, tire sealed, pressurized and mounted. $25, gave him $5 on top for the ease of service.
