The convenient Wheaton location of the facility is great for daycare and they also allow for half-day daycare too. Very flexible scheduling. When I pick my dog up, I can tell that she's received personalized attention from the staff and that she has been well cared for. Often she's been able to work one-on-one with a staff member for nearly all of her half-day session. We also attend the group classes which are incredibly unique and let my dog build up practice interacting with other dogs in a way that reinforce new, good behaviors. My neighbors are thrilled with the progress almost as much as I am - my dog no longer automatically barks at everyone outside now and is able to make new friends. The in home training we did originally was incredibly valuable to get us started on the right foot. We need to do that again very soon! Is it the least expensive daycare and/or training in the area? No. But it is ABSOLUTELY worth it. When I leave my dog in the care of The Canine's Voice I know that she's going to be safe, loved, and will learn a few things while she's there. The classes are incredibly valuable too. The results speak for themselves.

She had plenty of tips and techniques and it was nice having her visit the home for the sessions to see how he is in that environment. After several mixed purpose sessions I feel like we're on the path to success, maybe. We hope .

Our Basset Hound boy, Hoss injured his back and our regular vet said that if we opted for surgery,…read moreit would cost us (STARTING) $10K and then the after-care (therapy, medication, etc.) would cost roughly another $15K. He is 9 1/2 and we REFUSED to make him live the rest of his life convalescing from back surgery. My wife researched who to go to for possible holistic treatments, and found Dr. Mullen and as it turns out, she happened to be at Kohn Animal Hospital. Let me start by saying that Dr. Mullen made a HUGE HUGE HUGE and let me say again, HUGE impact on our boy. She started with laser treatments, acupuncture and vitamin B shots at his acupuncture points. She worked with him and after one treatment, ONE TREATMENT, Hoss was acting like his old self. Wanting to run, play with his brother. We had to keep him calm so he wouldn't re-injure himself. Here we are, 4 months later, and he is still doing AMAZING. Dr. Mullen changed our boys life for the better and we couldn't be happier and more pleased with the unbelievable level of care that Dr. Mullen has provided. She shows just how much she cares for each patient. She sees Hoss, she melts to the floor and gives him rubs, hugs, kisses, and is overjoyed to see him. Her expertise and knowledge of the course of treatment that she has recommended and is doing has surpassed our expectations. We recommended Kohn/Dr. Mullen to a dear friend of ours that has a French Bulldog (so does Dr. Mullen) and she was able to diagnose and is in the process of treating his boy's allergies and they are FINALLY under control and his boy is so much happier than he ever was before Dr. Mullen's expertise. We LOVE Dr. Mullen and she is the best vet (besides our regular vet) that we have ever had the pleasure and trust to take our boy to. If our regular vet were to ever close its doors, Kohn and Dr. Mullen would be our number one choice. Dr. Mullen is now more than our Basset boys doctor, she is family to us and we hope to keep seeing her for a long time to come!

Krista says the trims in my package expire after 6 months so the 4 i have in my balance are no good. Money is money and if you buy a ticket, you can redeem it regardless. She hands out this BS that the packages are like a gift card, not a pre-purchase as it's states in her terms of service. Nowhere are her Terms of service available to read. Out of sight, out of mind, like they don't exist. Then says her lawyers have told her what's she's doing is legit. i can't even find her business registration on line. It's all a ruse! DO NOT USE this woman as she practices terrible business ethics!

This is a long overdue review for K D Nail Trims. Krista did our dog's nails for years. Not once…read moredid we ever receive any paperwork or sign anything. She says our trims expired in 6 months which is absolute hogwash. We would have never have bought a package had we known they expired in 6 months. Our dogs simply have never needed to get their nails cut so often. We had 4 nail trims left onOur package and she would not let us use them. Also she responded addressing me on a review my husband left not me. I would like to add 1/2 the time we would have to leave multiple messages until we got a reply. She could never fit our dog in because she was sick or many other excuses. When she would not honor the remaining nail trims she offered a new package at a "discounted price" which was actually the same price every one else got. I would suggest that people not pay ahead for her services as she is both unreliable and she won't return messages. She also lied quite a few times which we were able to prove by glancing g at her Facebook. I feel like we simply got ripped off by someone who conducted their business very poorly. I would like to add good luck if she ever shows up on time. She was often late or wouldn't show up at all and it was always my fault. This happened multiple times and we never knew if she would be here or not. She would rush in and rush out, not very personable with humans or animals, always in a rush

4greyhoundracers ZERO STARS!!! Stay away from this adoption group! I have been adopting retired…read moregreyhounds since 1998. I have homed 13 to date. I recently lost my male to cancer. I was looking for another pet to adopt for my family and to find my 11 year old senior female greyhound another brother.WeI have always had two greyhounds together because usually when we loose one we adopt another. I contacted 4 greyhound racers and told them exactly what I was looking for, a male that would not be alpha, one that would be laid-back a bit, and one too fit in with an 11-year-old senior hound. I have had older dogs in the past and have actually adopted them at the age of 7, 8 and 9 years old and ones with cancer that no one else wanted I figure they all need to be loved and older hounds can steal our hearts as well as any other age. The group brings you dogs to your home. They expect you to adopt one of them because some of their foster volunteers live quite a distance away and have to travel to your home. They tell you this so from the beginning of the adoption process, you feel a bit obligated to take a dog on that day. They also told me the day they brought them that if somebody returned a dog, they would badmouth them to other groups and make it hard for them to adopt again. My experience with this group was they brought two dogs that I picked out and two dogs that I did not. The first who came into the home brought in by the president of the group. One dog was very, very young she had kept on a leash. I don't think the dog was trusted to be off me. The other one walked around the house and peed three times all over everything. Then the third dog came in he seemed like he was the one I was interested in just by looking at pictures, but anybody knows that when you are going through a greyhound group you never adopted by pictures alone you have to meet the dog and you have to also make sure the dog is going to work in your family. I knew this dog was younger, but by the way they described him between the adoption group and the foster family was that he was pretty laid-back but like to play, etc. We ended up adopting the third dog. He was pretty laid back for around two days by day three he was running through the house , pushing my 11-year-old around and was a horrible fit for our family. I contacted Sue Purdom told her I was having some issues she told me to crate the dog which I really didn't see how this was going to fix things. Maybe prolong them to any time outside the crate I have never created my greyhounds because I never have had to. I've always taught them to get along and respect each other. This was a completely different experience in any of the dogs I have ever adopted. I decided that he wasn't going to work out and it was time to return him. Mind you they had an older seven year-old that was looking for a home, but his name was never mentioned. They went on to tell me well you didn't pick him off the Internet. It's not always up to the adapter to pick a dog off the Internet. It is up to the group to find the correct dog for the family And suggest them. This dog was never mentioned. When I asked if the seven year-old would be a better fit, I was told we don't exchange greyhounds. They basically came took the dog back. Did not refund my $750 and also sent out an email to another group that I was looking into to adopt from. Needless to say I was able to call that group and tell them what had happened. Period. this was by far the worst group I have ever dealt with in my life of adopting greyhounds. It wasn't about getting the correct dog into the home. It was about getting a dog into a home and taking the money. I don't believe this group is all about the dogs. I believe it is all about the money and just getting a dog placed wherever possible. So I give this group no stars not even one. When I spoke to other groups about this and other people who have been adopting greyhounds for many years, they all said this is not the way you go about placing greyhounds. They would have never had a return if they would have got me the right dog. Someone is not doing their job correctly and that is all I really have to say. It is a sad reality in the greyhound adoption world.
