I've been going here since I adopted my cat, Simon, a couple years ago. The doctors are really sweet and don't push anything additional on you. They're always transparent about pricing which I love, I've moved a bit far but won't stop coming here because of how much I love it!

The whole staff is wonderful. I would and will always recommend them to anyone. Thank you to Dr. Mann and staff for always taking good care of our simba who is my furry son and my 11 year old daughter furry brother. And if simba can talk he would say thank you to all you have done for him through his ups and downs.

BluePearl is specialized in orthopedic surgery, so we wanted to make sure we had the best doctors working on our pup with the highest chance of success. Dr Wilson did our initial consultation and he was very polite, thorough, and had a great bedside manner while breaking down medical terminology that I was able to to comprehend. He was able to get our girl in within the week to complete a TPLO surgical procedure on her knee; the procedure was a success and the staff was very helpful by keeping her comfy during her stay and giving detailed instructions for discharge. It has been a week since the procedure and she's already able to put weight on her leg; the swelling is gone, no leakages, bruising is now minimal, and you can tell that she's very excited to get moving again. We have a long way to go for recovery, but I already know that the procedure will allow her to be as active as she used to be. Thank you Dr Wilson for taking good care of her, highly recommended for dogs in need of orthopedic procedures. Best, Charlie

The Critical Care Team is phenomenal, including Doctors Vietti, Montaque and Sharpe and their amazing group of nurses Barb, Jamie, Megan, Brittney, Brit and others. We brought our dog in while having significant respiratory distress. They tried to get him to breathe on his own by using High-Flow Oxygen, with no success, and had to put him on a Ventilator. Our dog was able to breathe in oxygen but was unable to exhale the carbon dioxide as it was getting trapped in his lungs. After numerous tests, they determined that he had Eosinophilic Bronchopneumopathy (EBP), a respiratory condition that was attacking his lungs, causing inflammation and an excessive amount of secretion build-up. Because of the inflammation, the secretion build-up was partly blocking his airwaves, preventing him from being able to expel the CO2, which is very toxic and dangerous. Although they were familiar with the EBP, they never saw an instance in which it impacted a causing the airways to get blocked. Long story short they did an amazing job identifying a very unique situation and saving our dog's life. They provided great care during the week our dog was at VSC and communicated very well throughout the process. Not many dogs make it off a ventilator once they are put on one; we were one of the lucky ones. I would never go anywhere else if my dog was critically ill.

I first went to this clinic about two years ago when my senior dog collapsed and had a seizure. By…read morethe time we arrived, he was already doing much better, but we didn't want to take any chances. We lived only 10 minutes away and didn't have time to research other options. Looking back, it felt like a money machine. They ran a bunch of tests, including some that our regular vet later said were absolutely unnecessary. After all that, they still couldn't tell us what was wrong. What they could do was recommend leaving him overnight on oxygen for around $2.5k per night. Ridiculous! Of course I said no because he was already much better. We left with a $1.7k bill and no diagnosis, only guesses. They also referred us to a specialist, where we spent another $1k on tests only to be told that our dog was fine. Fast forward to recently. My dog has colitis and occasionally has flare-ups. He developed diarrhea and, unlike previous episodes, stopped drinking water. Our regular vet got us in the next morning, but I was worried about dehydration overnight, so I called this clinic because it was late in the evening. I specifically asked whether they could evaluate him and give him fluids to help get him through the night until his appointment. I explained that he already has a known history of colitis and that we already had a plan with our regular vet. Women on the phone was very rude and basically told me that none of that mattered. I was told they require a standard list of diagnostic tests no matter what, and then the veterinarian could decide if even more tests were needed. When I asked if we could skip the full workup and just provide supportive treatment, I was told no, that's their policy. So instead I went to another emergency clinic in Buffalo Grove. They gave him fluids, got him hydrated, and sent us on our way to follow up with our regular vet the next day. No endless testing, no pressure, no trying to turn a straightforward situation into a several thousand dollar visit. Based on my experiences, this place seems far more interested in selling diagnostics than providing practical care. Stop giving your money to this clinic, they don't care about you or your pet, they only care about your money!

I had to bring my 15 year cat, Renée, in for Anemia after my primary vet (@ Broadway Animal Hospital - word of warning - stay away) caused some pelvic fractures while performing surgery. MedVet Doctors told me the positives doing something and also any negatives. For example the Anemia needed a transfusion (positive), but the pelvic fractures may have a leakage, which will effect have the transfusion may help (negative). They kept me informed during the 3 days, 2 nights (2 days & 1 night in ICU) she was there. The staff give great care for Renée and allowed me to visit her before and after my work days. The entire staff showed Renée empathy and mentioned how beautiful she is. You cannot ask for a more caring place for your four legged companion. Four stars were given and not 5, because I found that follow-up calls were badly handled even after I called them. And how they handled the Pathology (about the cancerous lump) information from my primary vet was definitely a negative. But after those two weeks, Renée is back to her routines of walking with me down a hallway (now with a limp), eating her daily meals, and just being a happy cat. Her positivity in dealing with all this is amazing.
