I was super excited to hear this place was opening here because it's my favorite boba shop in Seattle! The first two days of opening had crazy 2+ hour waits so I didn't bother trying to go yet, but I was able to make it there on Tuesday evening and the wait wasn't crazy at all. I went again a second time Friday afternoon/mid-day and the wait was not crazy either. I recommend going on a weekday if you're trying to avoid longer waits! The drinks were the exact same quality and freshness as the ones I tried in Seattle. I'm usually one to get less sugar, but the "perfect sugar" level here is perfect! Their boba is also the best boba I've ever tried; perfectly chewy and not too firm or soft. I usually opt for grass jelly or no toppings at other boba shops but here, I'll def be ordering boba too. Also! They are dog friendly! As long as your dog is well behaved and leashed, they are welcome! One of the workers was in awe over my dog and said she's always wanted dogs herself. Interior is very aesthetic and clean. Staff is very welcoming and friendly, which is greatly appreciated. Samples are provided as you go up to order. They're also very quick in making the drinks considering there was a constant line to the door the entire time! This place is for you if you like the more authentic "boba." Their teas are fresh and high quality so you can really taste it. The drinks are also not heavy with milk and sugar as you would normally find in a generic boba shop; which I personally love!!!! They are Michelin rated afterall! Drinks are priced a bit more than you would find at another boba shop but due to the quality, I personally think it's well worth it. read more

Went to Chicha San Chen with some friends today, the service was good. Got a sample when we came in of the mango tea, which is delicious. I ended up getting that flavor. Prices aren't too expensive but you have to pay extra for Boba. Would recommend to Boba drinkers and people that enjoy freshly brewed tea. I love the layout of this store! It's very spacious with plenty of seating so it's a great setting to sip some tea and catch up with friends and family. ChiCha San Chen is known for their high quality teas and exceptional service, both of which this location excels in. They offer sample teas when you're about to order, which have all tasted great so far. The menu is very customizable because you can choose the kind of tea and toppings or flavors to add as well as adjusting sugar and ice levels. I ordered an Orange High Mountain Pouchong Tea with Perfect sugar and Normal ice. My drink was delicious, I love the combination of freshly brewed tea and bright orange flavor. One thing to keep in mind is that they don't add too much sugar or sweetness to the drinks, so I recommend the 'Perfect' sugar level to try since that's how the drink is intended to be made. What a perfect drink for a too hot day. Super cooling and refreshing with an inexplicably silky mouth feel. It was so addictive, I almost wanted to order a second for the road. The barista crew offered excellent customer service. I came in to look at the menu for a later time. Jaqueline was very kind and offered me a sample (green tea with lemon juice) right when I walked in. This sealed the deal for me getting something because it was so tasty! Located in the Powell's Books Mall at Cedar Hills, the shop offers plenty of parking and a spacious, modern interior. The décor is minimalist and clean, creating a relaxed and inviting atmosphere with great vibes. The drinks are almost identical to the Seattle location, which is amazing! Plus, skipping the Seattle sales tax makes it a bit easier on the wallet. Though prices are still a bit high for Oregon, with medium drinks starting around $7.50 before tip, the quality definitely justifies it. The service is consistently excellent--friendly staff always offer samples before you order, which is a nice touch. Ordered a honey latte with high mountain pouchong tea, was told it was a green tea by the bobarista but Google is saying it's oolong? The tea tasted like milk and it was way too sweet when I asked for lightly sweetened. The store is pretty and the ambiance is really nice. It was pretty busy when we went but the staff was super nice and they had a sample drink of the day that we could try. The flavors were on the more authentic side which was different from the more artificial and very sweet flavor from other boba and tea shops I've been to. Immediate 5-star review because I was so impressed. I visited during the soft opening of the store; staff did great and I'm sure they'll only improve. The efforts invested in the aesthetics and operations are apparent. By design, there is a focus on the teas themselves. Toppings allow the tea to shine without overpowering it. For a refreshing drink, I recommend the Osmanthus Oolong Tea, with konjac, light sugar, and less ice. It's slightly floral and perfectly balanced. For a milky drink, I recommend the Cassia Black Tea, with mousse and taro balls. I'm excited to try this as a hot drink as the weather cools down. The added dimension of cassia adds a lot of interest to the flavor, and isn't overpowering either. I'm a huge fan of taro balls & they were such a treat. Perfect mouthfeel, fresh, and chewy. I have yet to try the boba!! That is up next. I totally forgot, so I'll be back again. I didn't take any photos since I didn't want to disturb other customers or bother the busy staff. Service was amazing but waited almost 30 minutes for two drinks and they had around 6 workers. Ordered at 2:35 and got our drinks at 3:00. I ordered the Bubble Milk Tea and it was really good!! The boba was also warm and chewy, just the way I like it. The Dong Ding Oolong tea with taro balls was also very good with great tea flavor. Their taro balls are my favorite toppings because it tastes so fresh and delicious. I would love to see them offer taro paste soon because it's so good mixed into drinks. I also tried their Bubble Volcano and love their brown sugar flavor, not too sweet. Their fresh milk somehow doesn't make my stomach upset which is a bonus, even though I'm lactose intolerant. I've tried their other locations in LA and Bellevue and I'm so glad they have one in Beaverton now. Customer service was very friendly and welcoming which I appreciate. Their space is beautiful, spacious with tons of seating, more so than other locations I've been to. Ample parking is a plus! Will be a regular customer for sure. read more

I don't understand the hype and long lines. Finally got mine at around 8 pm after the lines died down. It's just another fruity tea drink with a fancy carry case that I immediately dumped in the landfill which I probably paid for, an absorbed overhead cost through the overpriced drink. Not to mention, the cup size is actually a small for the high price, not medium or large, a small as compared to other local boba shops. It was meh. But the times I've tried this place it has disappointed me I literally felt like I paid $8.46 + tip for a cup of milk and grass jelly. The taste of the drink had a small essences of tea but mainly tasted like pure milk i understand this cafe is purely traditional teas which I personally really enjoy but the taste of the drinks are so tasteless and or overly sweet or lack sweetness there is never in between for the price of the drinks it's kind of ridiculous. The staff are always friendly and polite which is why I came back multiple times. since the atmosphere was nice and the staff were educated in their products but the drinks are just so disappointing and tasteless and bit too expensive and I've tried different drinks on their menu and all have never been a good experience. If you're looking for a similar atmosphere, kind staff and similar price range and much more consistent and tasty drinks. Being new in the area, there are many people who are eager to try it and they are still learning the operations. So, if you plan to visit these days, plan to wait at least 30 minutes (standing in line and actually waiting for the drink). I have tried this in Asia, and I remember it being really good. The tea is not from a concentrate or powder. They brew their tea, and you can taste the difference. The basic bubble milk tea is really nice. It has a balance of the strong tea, creamy milk, and just the right amount of sweetness with the default 100% setting. The boba has the right chewiness. The interior is clean white, and there are some seats. It's a nice place to hangout. I highly recommend trying it. The size might be smaller compared to the bubble teas around the area, but you are paying for the premium quality. Maybe in a few months, they will get the operations down and the hype has slowed down, so we don't have to wait long for our drinks. read more
