Finally a place that has smaller sized cups!! We got two of the most popular teas, the Sugar Babie (popular milk tea) and the Sweater Weather (popular fruit tea). I adjusted the sweetness on the Sugar Babie to 75% because the employee said that one can be kind of sweet. I think it was a good suggestion because it wasn't too sweet and you could still taste the ceylon tea flavor. The Sweater Weather was a lychee fruit tea with lychee chunks and lychee jelly which made it a refreshing and light drink, perfect for this hot summer weather! The interior is pretty small with just a few seats, so definitely a great place to grab and go. The ambiance is clean and minimal. read more

Not sure how I feel. Ordering is primarily done on a tablet, ie perfect for introverts like me. Though if you have questions, it does mean trying to flag someone down. I got the Sugar Babie 50% sweetness with cheese foam. The foam alone was perfect, not too sweet or salty. The tea felt like there was no sweetener at all. When mixed with the foam it helped but made the salt so prominent. It was hard to finish. I did get the surprise with the tea and it is super cute. I do feel only get it if you're okay with ALL the options. The shop is very small and hot. As the summer has hit, that was not the greatest. I totally don't fault the shop for this, more a note if you plan to stay for longer than the wait to get your drink. When I'm in the area, I may give it another go. read more

Drinks also taste good, there are times where I have ordered 50% or 75% sweetness and it tastes like it wasn't adjusted, but other times it tastes less sweet like ordered. Either way the drinks still taste amazing and isn't a too overpowering flavor of sweetness, but the sometimes I would like it to be less. I ordered the High Mountain Oolong Milk Tea with whole milk, and if you're a true tea person, this one's for you. The tea is freshly brewed, strong, and fragrant, and the sweetness level was perfectly balanced--not overpowering at all. The boba was really nice too--soft, chewy, and the perfect texture. I also tried their new item, Mango Boom, which was yummy. It has a good amount of real mango flavor and pairs really well with the coconut cream. Refreshing and not too sweet. At this point, I've been to Yins countless times and each time is consistently great. I usually get the Thai ice tea (with their homemade milk!) because it's seriously one of the best in the city, or I get the coconut pineapple smoothie, which is also very good. Yin's tea is a tea lover's paradise. We tried the peach tea with mystery cup, the flavor of tea was very rich and smooth with peach pearls and we added boba too to the tea. I really love the idea of mystery cup because it makes you happy instantly. Who doesn't like a surprise which is cute The ambience of the place is very serene and minimalistic. The best thing I loved about the place was its very clean and they maintained it really well. The tea selection is impressive with unique flavors. I've been here a couple times and it's overall been a decently good boba shop. The inside is clean, there's very limited seating (only a bench), and it is very bright and clean. Service here can be a bit slow but they're nice. The menu is pretty limited, and I've been able to try a good variety of them. Overall, I love how fun their drink names are and they have some special fruit and milk tea offerings. I recommend their fruit tea as they have real fruit in them and they're pretty good (it's just a shame you can't adjust the sweetness on a lot of them). The first time I went here, I had their green tea crema and the cream was amazing--the best in Portland. So, I was very excited to come back. Since then, I've ordered it a couple times but they've never made it the same as then--whether it's too flavorless, not cheesy/creamy enough, etc. Which is a shame. Okay wow!!! I've been to many boba places and have only been amazed by the experience a few times... and this is one of them. The ambiance has a very clean, aesthetic look and there is a screen where you can order from. There is minimal seating inside. There is a free parking lot by the store. The staff were all very nice and professional. I got the As-sam milk tea with less ice and 25% sugar. I LOVE strong tea flavors in boba and this place absolutely delivered that (a lot of places don't). It does not just taste like sugary milk with some tea flavor in the background.... the tea is truly the center of the drink. Also 25% sugar... is 25% sugar. I think this is a hard bar to meet for me as I don't very sweet drinks and 25% sugar was perfect (probably enhances the tea flavor too). I'm not sure this is unique to the As-sam or all of the drinks. Boba was cooked well, not hard or soggyr or overly sweet! Price are also pretty standard (about $6 for milk teas, $7 for special drinks). I also asked about the lavender milk tea and it is a syrup based drink. They also have a mystery cup in which a random plush or sticker can be found in the compartment under the drink, which is an idea I've only one other time. It an additional $5.50 or you can get a free one after receiving 10 stamps on their card. Definitely can see this being a way to garner regular customers who want to collect all of the plush/stickers. I would love to return!! Delicious boba tea! I got the Sugar Babie. It's a smooth, non-bitter "King" milky black tea. You can choose the level of sweetness. I got 100%, which is regular sweet, but you can have no sweetness, 25%, etc. I got a cute "plushie" on a key chain as my "mystery cup" surprise. I ordered the troublesome, which is an oolong milk tea and added boba to it. The milk tea was mediocre and nothing special. I didn't taste the oolong flavor in the drink as oolong usually has a strong roasted flavor. The boba was fine, nothing special. The service was quick and staff were nice on providing recommendations. There is parking on site but the parking area can get busy, so I parked a little further away. While I am not one to typically write a review for a business that recently had its grand opening four days ago, I was thoroughly pleased with my experience at Yin's Tea. I arrived on a Wednesday evening and noticed four other groups inside waiting for their orders to be prepared. Parking can be limited because of the shared parking spaces in the plaza. The interior design was a mix of contemporary/minimalistic with influences of Asian decor, paying homage to the business owner's roots and very suitable for a boba tea store. There is a handful of chairs and a bench to wait for your drink order; however, I did not see any tables inside. Ordering was made easy through their kiosk and their menu items are displayed on the screens at the front of the establishment. Next to the kiosk, there were mini sample cups of their tea to try as well. I was elated to find out there were many options to customize my drink order: drink size, mystery prize cups, sweetness levels, ice adjustments, milk type, and toppings. Based on my previous experience in the food industry and as a bobarista, the options for so many different adjustments and a variety of different types of drinks for a new business can be very challenging. The team at Yin's Tea seemed to work harmoniously together, ensuring drinks were made properly and timely. Being a huge fan of gacha, I was not able to resist paying for the mystery cups. The Genshin Impact bookmarks were surprisingly higher quality than I expected and the mystery plushies were too adorable! I ordered the Keep it Pink (Rose Milk Tea), CeleberTea (Earl Gray Milk Tea), and Da Queen (Mango Sago). I typically order normal sweetness when trying a new boba place and will adjust my next order after tasting. I found that their normal 100% sweetness was a bit too sweet for my palate and I would most likely order less/half sweetness next time. The flavor of the tea was quite prominent and rich so I could tell the tea leaves were high quality and brewed properly. The boba was fresh and cooked well, soft with a nice chewy texture. Cecilia was very kind and attentive when handing off my drinks at the counter, placing my order in a drink carrier, and placing a cap to prevent my drinks from spilling. The decor in this tea house is adorable! You order on the kiosk at the counter. The staff were very friendly. I got the Jasmine milk tea with sago and it is very floral forward. Just because I do not like the floral flavor very much I give this a 2 out of 10. The taro sparkle made up for it with a delicious creamy taro flavor 9 out of 10. This was our first trip to Yin's Tea. I loved it! Ordered the Dirty Peach with more tea, and daughter chose the Pinkie Pink with more tea. She didn't prefer the heavyvtwa taste, so I drank hers along with my Dirty Peach. I would highly recommend if you don't like the slightly more bitter more tea taste, stick with the basic. Otherwise, I really think this is one of the great tea shops in town. Plus, the decor is beautifully minimalistic and the service was very good. I'm ready to try the other tea flavors! I'm overall impressed with Yin's Tea! I stopped in because I was in the neighborhood, and hadn't had boba tea in a LONG time. As soon as I opened the door, I was assaulted by the heavy stench of chlorine bleach. There are certainly worse things to smell in a tea shop, and I appreciate their sanitation, but I wish they'd at least opened a door to air the place out a bit. Orders are placed at a touch pad at the counter. Variety is wide, and options are many. I opted for a mango Sago, and my companion ordered her typical duo of beverages. The Mango Sago was honestly one of the most stupidly delicious things I've ever had, EVER! I'll make a special trip back here just for this. The store is tiny, but is immaculately clean. Staff is very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. While the prices are on the higher side, it seems like it's being used for great-quality ingredients, and super sturdy cups. The downside is that they only have two small tables, so it's not really a place to hang out. It's more of a grab-and-go spot. Came here for a yelp event, but had to come back with friends this time because my bf & were craving it! The dirty peach was the drink we couldn't get out of our minds. So unique. We got it with more tea the first time as a recommendation from the person working, but I wanted to try more yogurt this time. The refreshing flavor with real peaches, so yummy. More yogurt was good, but I think i will stick to more tea. We also got the pinky pinkie that first time, not as good as the peach as I think maybe it would be better if there a different type of tea in it. The jasmine tea is really strong in this one, maybe it'd be better if we try that one with more yogurt next time. This time my bf went with Spongebob, very refreshing pina colada type flavor, blended which I love blended drinks because it's like you get your money worth since you don't have ice chunks in it.
