What made the situation worse was that the actual employees said nothing about her behavior. No one corrected her, asked her to stop, or even acknowledged how inappropriate it was. On top of that, no staff member informed us when we walked in that the store was closing in 5 minutes even though it was over a hour before the website said they closed, which would have avoided the entire situation. Overall it felt chaotic, unprofessional, and uncomfortable. Customers shouldn't be yelled at by random people in the store while staff just stand there and do nothing. Tillys confirmed that they received the returned merchandise, yet four months later I still have not received a refund. Over the past four months, I have spent countless hours contacting customer service, opening multiple cases, and following up on promises that were never fulfilled. I was repeatedly given conflicting information, told the issue was being investigated, and assured that someone would contact me with an update. That never happened. My final conversation was with a manager named Erik, who was dismissive of my concerns and told me the matter had been resolved, that my refund would be expedited through billing, and that I would not need to call back. More than two weeks later, no refund was issued, no update was provided, and no one contacted me. Tillys has confirmed receipt of the returned merchandise, yet continues to keep both the product and my money. The company has failed to communicate, failed to honor its promises, and failed to provide any meaningful resolution. I even filed a BBB complaint, which Tillys did not respond to. After four months of delays, excuses, and broken promises, I cannot recommend doing business with a company that treats its customers this way when something goes wrong.
