The outlet store was having a $2 sale, every item in the store was $2! I bought myself a few shirts and found clothes for my husband also. I spent less than $20 and got a few outfits for myself and husband. My mom and daughter also bought several items. In the outlet store has clothes on hangers, on tables and bins you have to dig thru to find gems but there were a lot of good finds. In the regular shop (photos included) , I got a j Jill dress for $6 and really nice jacket layer for $6 also, both brand new and with tags still attached. They often have sales at both locations and good selections. I would agree with comments about this being an overtly Christian store which at times has made me uncomfy but I have also witnessed sweet moments as well. They give away bibles to anyone who wants one. During my last visit there was a gentleman who was unhoused or fallen on bad times, he came into the store and shopped for clothes from the outlet $2 sale. He was treated kindly and with dignity. The store employee knew him and tried to get him connected to local assistance for him. I am down with this kind of Christianity.

Extremely Unprofessional…read more I walked into Uptown Cheapskate and within one minute of entering, some random lady suddenly yelled across the store: "Everyone get out, we fucking close in 5 minutes." At first we assumed she was an employee because of how aggressively she said it. When we realized she wasn't, we called her out on it. Her response? "Yeah, I'm kind of crazy." What made the situation worse was that the actual employees said nothing about her behavior. No one corrected her, asked her to stop, or even acknowledged how inappropriate it was. On top of that, no staff member informed us when we walked in that the store was closing in 5 minutes even though it was over a hour before the website said they closed, which would have avoided the entire situation. Overall it felt chaotic, unprofessional, and uncomfortable. Customers shouldn't be yelled at by random people in the store while staff just stand there and do nothing. Definitely not a great first impression.

The cashier at the front was also amazing, she had a smile on her face, and brightened my evening telling me about the full double rainbow that was outside the store earlier. All the employees interacted with were working hard, and were extremely pleasant. While I was being rung up, a line of 2-3 were gathering. There were two more employees behind the register (one my have been training) I did notice they didn't seem in a hurry to clear the line, almost waiting for the cashier Elisa to do all the transactions. The employee behind the counter did eventually turn around and pull somebody from the line. Love the value, love the quality, and appreciated the friendly staff :))

She purposely made up something so I would not be waited on by her. If you are prejudice learn how to cope or don't work in retail. I'm black and she was white. It was too obvious and she knows it. The sales clerk was very helpful with pointing out the price of other items in the store as well - scarves, jewelry, bags - as everything was on special discount. I love the way they curate their selections. I found a couple of shirts in the men's section that I liked. Everything here is new or like new. And they often carry designer clothing. Tried on a few things, and ended up buying three items, and spent about $50. The employees were very nice and helpful. The problem I have, is after going to the thrift store, and not finding anything, and walking around a couple times just looking at items... we left. We walked back to the car, and what I can figure is the owner as all questions go to him, break schedules are told by him, etc. he walked out behind us and followed us giving us the side eye in my car. I have spent money at both locations, but my friend and I looked at each other after this like wait, really? It was extremely odd and uncomfortable and honestly offensive. I will take my actual business elsewhere as it seems we gave you reason to feel we were suspicious. Which, I am really trying to figure out why.
