This week, I visited Chick-fil-A specifically to try the new "plant-forward" cauliflower sandwich, which is being tested in Charleston, Denver, and Greensboro. When ordering on the app, the time it takes to prepare your order displays, so you'll know when to pick it up at the drive-thru, curbside parking, or walking into the store. I live super close and didn't want to wait, so I tapped that I was already at Chick-fil-A. The app gave an estimate of 4-9 minutes for my single cauliflower sandwich (no sides), which was perfect timing for me to arrive and go inside. This neat feature ensures your food is fresh in case you get delayed in Charleston traffic. To give my body a non-fried vegetable, I added tomato and lettuce, and the cauliflower sandwich was really good. Despite the lack of protein and chicken, the seasoning and cooking method are similar to the original, and that makes the sandwich. CFA doesn't consider this "vegetarian" because it is cooked in the same environment as chicken. Everyone has a different comfort level, and I was fine with that, as the dish doesn't contain meat. The bread is buttered, so if you don't eat butter, request a non-buttered roll. I typically come to Chick-Fil-A for desserts, as none of them contain chicken (ha!). If you want a healthier plant-based option, the app lets you order a salad without the chicken, but I'd order the cauliflower again. read more

I'm not sure how this location ended up with only a 3-star average, but I have never had less than stellar service and well prepared, great tasting food here. Sure, my wait was sometimes longer than I would expect from a "fast-food" restaurant, but waiting at Chick-fil-A merely gives the taste buds a chance to ready themselves for amazing flavor! The drive thru has 2 lanes, and could probably use a 3rd; the dining room is spacious, airy, well-lit and comfortable so there is another option. I love this Chick-fil-A! It's newly renovated, and the new drive-through is extra efficient and quick. Everyone is always so friendly, professional, and pleasant. The food always comes out quickly, and it is always hot and fresh. I love the app, which is very user-friendly and gives you the option to place an order in advance for faster service. I also appreciate the loyalty program and find it's very easy to accumulate points. I hate that Chick-fil-A no longer offers the holiday Christmas cow calendar but I do like the Christmas cows that they sell during the holiday season. read more

This is the second time I had to walk to their drive thru pick up door after waiting for for 20 minutes on the curbside pick up. My app said they are on the way to bring my order but I sat there in my car and no one came so I walked to ask for my order and they still haven't made it! I had to wait and stand there while one of the worker made my iced coffee and she did it wrong too. One of the worker that was working there was rude too, I didn't get his name but he was not one of the teenager. He has dark hair and a bit big. Love Chick-fil-A food; among the best chicken around. Almost never have a bad CFA experience, especially with the food quality. Like many (if not all) CFA locations this one has basically become a drive-thru restaurant during COVID. Drive-thru moves very fast thanks to employees with tablets walking to cars waiting in line. Only negative to this is can be hard to figure out what you want since you may not be close enough to see the menu board. During today's visit the food was good, but the waffle fries were slightly undercooked. Deluxe spicy chicken sandwich was great. The half/half tea and lemonade I got had an odd, watered-down taste and was not remotely good. read more

This is by far the worst Chic in the area. Very poorly managed and ran. The one in the mall is better than this one. Never order a large fry or drink from this place. Five years ago I left a one star review and here I am again, leaving another one star review. The portion sizes for strips and nuggets are inconsistent. Same with the fries. There is absolutely zero reason to order a large fry because you're going to get the same amount of fries as a medium. Drinks are NEVER filled and God forbid you order a sweet tea. Expect to be missing out on anywhere from 1/2 inch to 1 inch of tea in your cup. And then there is the wait times. How you can check in at the drive thru, wait 10-20 minutes to drive around the corner to window and then be told your food isn't ready and you need to pull up to the sign or into a parking space and wait for an additional 5-15 minutes is beyond me. And then, after you wait 20 minutes for your food, you drove home to a hungry family only to find out the 12 nuggets your ordered are an 8 count nugget or the strips are the size of a large nugget. I've complained on the mobile app. I've complained inside the store. I've called the store after getting my food. I have never had an issue with any other Chick-fil-a other than this one. A part of the reason I'll pick a Chick-fil-A visit is due to their historically efficient experience, but this location is consistently slow. Today was a 20 minute wait. Their staff is diverse, friendly, and reflect the core values of the company in having the willingness to and fulfillment in service. Bravo! That, along with real chicken breast, light breading, and the use of the superior Peanut Oil for frying make this chicken sandwich king. Simple perfection that others have tried to emulate. This is your average Chick-fil-A, no more and no less. The service was good as usual. I like this location because their dining room is open for dine in or ordering take out if you don't wanna wait in the drive thru. The dining room and bathrooms were clean. For their drive thru there is a guy who takes your order and payment and then you just pick up your food at the window. read more

so I always ordered a spicy chicken biscuit meal and somehow they put me down for a sausage biscuit meal in the drive through which would have been fine if they did not have me wait 14 minutes for it. The parking lot was so busy I thought they were giving something away for free. I have never seen anything like it but that's a good sign because empty restaurants mean "NASTY FOOD". There wasn't a long wait to order and plenty of courteous help inside. I ordered the #7 The Chicken club sandwich combo. The lettuce and tomatoes were fresh and crispy, the Chicken breast was juicy, well seasoned & grilled just right, the special sauce was well balanced with honey mustard & BBQ (finger licking), the multigrain bun was lightly toasted and the BACON...Oh, The Bacon was great. The indoor seating area was clean, spacious and airy ( lots of windows)there was plenty of room inside. There is also a spacious patio outside for those who prefer to be mosquito bait. Yes it's Chick-fil-a, the place that draws us all to it because of the chicken! This location (like most) is super busy and the drive through is long, sometime wrapping around to the front. Add the fact there does not appear to be enough parking, it can be challenging getting in here. But the food is good! As much as I love the basic chicken sandwich, I have a new favorite and that's the Grilled Market salad. Yes a salad, with thinly sliced chicken on top of a bed of romaine lettuce and baby greens. Add on some sliced cabbage & carrots, crumbled blue cheese, diced apples, strawberries and blueberries and you get one delicious salad. I am hooked to this salad. There are plenty of dressings to go with but my favorite is the honey mustard. Then don't forget the harvest nut granola pack and the roasted nut blend pack, and the salad is big! So try a salad next time. Then next time try the grilled chicken nuggets, yes grilled! Service here is typical, wait in the Q, take your order, delivered to your table in a reasonable time. The usual CFA service standards are delivered here, and you can always refill your drink. So this CFA serves my needs and everyone else, download their app and use it to pay. Drive thru: normally a line but got lucky today. The lady at the window was friendly and nice. I don't get to eat here often but the breakfast is awesome. Got chicken minis and the breakfast platter. Oh those minis are not healthy but the are to die for. Buttery bread with a chicken nugget in the middle. OMG just way more delicious than it should be. The breakfast platter with chicken is like getting two meals in one. You get egg and chicken and you get biscuit and gravy. The eggs are eatable which is to be expected out of a fast food place but that chicken is delicious and peanutty. The biscuit is great and the gravy is sweet. I've been to Chick-Fil-A only once in my life... the one on Savannah Hwy. I know, I know! You're thinking I'm crazy! And I must agree, haha! Chick-Fil-A tastes great! We received a plastic flyer/card in the mail which would give us either a free chicken sandwich or a free chicken biscuit at the Ashley Crossings location. Of course, we craved it yesterday (a Sunday) and totally forgot they were closed Sundays! So we went tonight instead. The drive-thru is nothing like I've ever been to before! There are two lanes with people standing at the head of the lane, ready to take your order with an iPad tablet. You pay right there. They are so friendly and helpful, even when one of my sons was being picky (He loves pickles, but wanted them on the side instead. And he loves mayonnaise, but wanted that on the side, as well.) She simply giggled about it and enthusiastically told him that it would be no problem! She was super sweet. Then you drive around and get your receipt from another person standing outside (who looks like she was perhaps the concierge who would help both drive-thru and walk-in customers). She greets you by first name and with a huge smile! You drive just a few more yards around the side and receive your order form yet another friendly employee at a large sliding glass door (not a typical drive-thru window). She's ready to get you condiments or a drink carrier or anything you wish! You know that you're running a good business when your employees are happy to be there and friendly to the customers! The waffle fries were fresh and hot out of the fryer, with the perfect amount of salt. Our chicken sandwiches were also fresh, hot, and tasty! This is really good, considering we drove home before eating, and often times food can get cold by then. We came in for lunch and it was the absolute worse experience ever. It took 15 minutes for our order. There was one register open with a line out the door. There had to be 15 workers, one group of four girls in the corner putting on make-up and plucking their eyebrows and and another group, one girl and three males taking selfies in the kitchen. All garbage cans were running over. No table in the place had been wiped. The place was nasty, and too many sitting around doing nothing while on the clock I'm sure. I sincerely hope you can go back and look at camera footage on 9/18/21 around 2:15 PM. Sorry to say I've never had a negative thing to say about Chic-Fil-A in my life...until today. I have recently moved back to west Ashley and I very oftenly stop at Chick-fil-A for breakfast and lunch considering it's right next to my job. The past three times I have went for breakfast I have ordered the same thing. 8 count chicken minis with a large cookies and cream milkshake. Each time I get to the window they tell me the ice cream machine is not working or ready. Along with with my chicken mini bread being hard. I moved from mount pleasant where I use to get this same meal fresh and ready at 6:50 am every morning. I definitely think they should look into getting new management for this location! I usually come here to kill some time.... grab some grub, hop on their wi-fi and let the kids loose to play. Their customer service is great. The food is consistently satisfactory. I LOVE that they carry soup (I found several locations don't). The kid's area is kept up and is right next door to the bathrooms (so kids don't have to run across the restaurant to go potty, like at other locations). The restaurant overall could use a better job with it's upkeep. I find that the floors are sometimes sticky and tables aren't cleaned right away. Eventually, someone gets to it, but I think it could be taken care of faster. Overall, I like hanging out here. Sometimes I'll work from here, read a book or just surf the web. read more
