I recently visited the SouthPark location with my work team and wanted my family to try it, so came by on Freedom on my way home from work. I ordered at probably 5:30 and was out the door within 5-10 minutes. The staff were so friendly and accommodating and they gave me an extra drink cup and bossy sauce! We got the tenders (3) with fries and a hot thigh sandwich combo. All was so delicious. I had to drive about 15 minutes to get home and it was all still so hot and fresh when I got there. I really love their fries!! I'm a little upset with myself that I didn't get any pictures of the inside. The chicken tenders were very good as well, no complaints. They have a homemade lemonade, nothing to scream about but it was good. The reason for a 4 out of 5, is because of their ranch. I felt like it was freshly handmade but it just had a different taste to it. It wasn't hidden valley lol or wing stop type of ranch. For my money this might be the best chicken sandwich in Charlotte, certainly in the discussion at least. A sister concept to Noble Smoke, this original location on Freedom Drive is located on the same premise. They are small, and the menu is very focused. Fried chicken sandwiches, tenders, and nuggets. But they do it so well! The meat is cooked and breaded to perfection, and they use Duke's Mayo along with buns from the owners bakery called Copain I believe. Jim Noble is a well known restauranter and it is clear if you've been to any of his restaurants that he is passionate about what he does. Stopped in for lunch to go around noon. There was a steady flow of people. We were able to get in and out quickly. Ordering at the counter was easy and efficient. It only took a few mins and my order was ready. I really appreciated that when I got home, my sandwich was still warm and the bun was not soggy from the wrapping. A+ I love that the menu is simple and only has a few items. I ordered the Beaut, fries and slaw. The fries are homemade style and have the best crunch. IMO this chicken sandwich is hands down better than Chic fil- A. The Pickles are homemade and good! The chicken is larger and thich cut, but its tender and not dry. Their bossy sauce is a tad bit spicy for my liking, but acts as a good and tasty dipping sauce for the fries. I ordered 60 nuggets from Bossy Beulah's on Freedom Dr for my pool party, and paid $82.26--only to get home and find maybe 25 nuggets in the box. That's less than half of what I paid for. I had to leave my friends and drive 20 minutes each way, just to come back with a completely messed up order. That's 40 minutes wasted, and over $80 gone. Yes, the food tasted great--but it doesn't matter when the experience is this bad. The restaurant was slammed when I picked up, but it really felt like the staff had no control over the chaos. I get that places get busy, but if the team can't handle the rush without making major order mistakes, something needs to change. This was such a letdown, and honestly, I'm scared to ever go back. In this Post-Chicken-Sandwich-Wars Era, it's nice to try something new, yet familiar. What the chains all claim to offer, is actually available at Bossy Beulah's. Fresh chicken, nicely breaded, crispy and juicy at the same time, and full of savory spices. The sturdy bun stands up to the chicken and the excellent sauce and holds up to the last bite. The spicy and the plain sandwich are both great, though the spicy was far better. Fries were good and also fresh, but kind of an "also ran" compared to the sandwich. I truly believe this is the best chicken sandwich in Charlotte. They use thighs so they are always juicy, never dry. I'm partial to the hot thigh sandwich which is messy and delicious. I ask for no mayo because that part is always a little too much for me, but I love their house pickles. Fries are super seasoned and you have to get the bossy sauce to dip them in. Bossy Beulah's ......I've driven past this establishment plenty of times and I finally stopped in. Playing a simple, short and sweet the chicken wings with fried to perfection. Not heavily Breaded. Juicy. Great seasoning. Crispy. I've also included a picture of how chicken wings should look once you're finished eating them, when they're really really good. The French fries were cut from a potato and salted and seasoned and lightly fried until the skin was crispy. I would definitely go back. You can order at the counter and then pick up your food and pick a table inside or on the patio. The chicken sandwich is so delicious, I ordered the Beaut with fries (combo). It's crispy and flavorful and pairs nicely with the mayo and pickles. Fries have a nice seasoning that's not overpowering. There are several sauces and all are yummy, though I recommend the bossy sauce personally! There's a ramp, making it handicap accessible. We snagged a spot in their parking lot, took a photo of the floral wall art, and then headed in to order. I ordered the beaut and he ordered the cheesy beaut. We split a side of fries. The total was around $23. Our food was ready in about 10 minutes. Initially, I thought the sandwich was a little small, however, I was fooled. It was a thick piece of chicken under that bun! The chicken was so thick that I had quite a bit of extra bun left over. The pickles really added a nice crunch and acidity.. I could eat those just on their own. The overall flavor of the chicken was pretty good, I added the beaulah sauce for an extra kick of taste. From start to finish this was a good experience. The staff was so friendly. Landed at the airport and wanting a Chick fil A sandwich. You ever get those craving for good southern fried chicken. My friend got me a Bossy Beulah's chicken sandwich. He said the drive thru at Chick fil A was way to long and someone recommended "if you really want good chicken sandwich go to Bossy Beulah's". OMG!!! Talk about juicy tender chicken breast and crispy on the outside. My life has totally changed since that first experience. Have been to Bossy Beulah's 4 times since then. Last two times added an order of french fries. Little salty and peppery but the best fries I ever tasted in Charlotte like the ones you get from steakhouse or steak frites as they call them. We did not sit and eat at the restaurant. Place was small. Several nights in a row just drop by parked the car and order to go. Be careful driving into parking lot there is a dip. My friend & I were on our way to another restaurant when we spotted Bossy Beulah's from the street & we decided to give it a try. The CLT location is in a stand alone building with an eye-catching mural on the side. We were pleasantly surprised & I can't wait to go back.
