Mostly I go to chick-fil-a for the chicken biscuit breakfast sandwich. I keep running into people who didn't even know they HAD a breakfast sandwich. And let's be honest, we are in New England which is not exactly the land of highly available biscuits so this satisfies my periodic craving for them! Generally I don't give chain restaurants more than a four star rating unless they are well above and beyond what you'd get at any other location. That being said this location does an outstanding job for the volume they serve and the quality is on-par with what I've come to expect from Chick-fil-A. It's in a bit of an awkward location on the southern side of downtown Glastonbury. As with a lot of the buildings there you might miss it if you weren't looking for it. It's a nice location with some outdoor seating available and a decent sized dining room. Overall the service is good and the food is as tasty as any other location I've visited. The parking and drive-thru are kind of strangely set up and as you can imagine with Chick-fil-A there can be a LONG line there. Thankfully they keep it moving pretty well from what I've seen, but if you're hoping to just grab something quickly you might want to plan ahead and try to beat the crowd or better yet, order ahead online and pick it up inside the store. Other than the odd parking configuration this is a restaurant I've had no problems with and the food is always delicious. read more

I will be the first one to admit that as Chick-fil-A started to infiltrate Connecticut I did not get on the #eatmorechicken train. I could not understand the fascination with this brand that had people standing outside or even camping outside of these stores on their grand opening. However almost every person I spoke to raved about all things Chick-fil-A. From the chicken to the fries to the overall experience, I was led to believe thay even though it was still fast causal, it was it was elevated fast casual. So with gift card in hand and a rumbling tummy, I the husband and I headed to their recently opened Glastonbury location to #eatmorechicken. We arrived at 3pm and the place was still hopping. After a piruse of the menu (and to my deep delight spotting that they had diet Dr. Pepper on tap) we placed our order of some Grilled Nuggets, Diet Dr Pepper and Waffle Fries. I was surprised at how engaged the cashier was and loved that we got to choose our sauce options and the fact we were told they would bring the meal out to us when ready. Of the variety of sauce options I chose the standard Chick-fil-A sauce and honey mustard. Not a fan of calorie counts on the menu but I guess that is the thing to do. We headed to find seats and as soon as I got my utensils our meal was brought to us and it was time to dig in. I admit the chicken was juicy and hot and really delicious especially when dipped into my sauce options. Diet Dr pepper was on point but the fries that everyone raves about were just OK. Maybe we got a bad batch but they were not really flavorful and crispy. And for the cost of the meal I thougjt they could have stuck a few more fries in the container. I also wished they had re fills available for my soda as I finished it too quickly. The restaurant was super clean and I loved they had outdoor seating and a small play area for kids. However the meal hit the spot and fueled us for the rest of the days activities. So it was good but not awesome. I'll try it again in a pinch. read more

There are not too many Chik Fila's in Connecticut so you really need to be a dedicated fan if you want to eat there. My son loves their food so for his birthday I drove the 70 mile round trip to get him his Chik fix. He especially likes the spicy chicken sandwich. And the waffle fries with Chik fila sauce. He thoroughly enjoyed his birthday meal, so the trip was definitely worth it! read more

I've been meaning to update this review, it's so over due. My initial expectations were exceeded again! I was happy to find out the hype is true. I feel Chick-fil-a presents great standards when it comes to fast food. I'm not sure if it's just me but I think every time I go the staff appear to be genuinely happy working there. I've found when ordering their extremely polite and always friendly! I recall during the last visit we were told a 'gift' was included. Inside our bag was a neatly sealed little white envelope for a free sweet treat with a kind message. It was too cute so naturally we ordered milkshakes :) I also discovered when cleaning my inbox there were multiple messages from the operator gifting additional free sandwiches and chicken minis. I really like the character behind Chick-fil-a, so much that I don't even mind when they close on Sundays lol. I'm certain I'll be making another trip there soon! read more

Ohhhh how have I not reviewed this Chick-fil-A yet! It's located right around the corner from my office, so I waited a bit before the hype settled down over the newness of this location, and I wasn't disappointed. I've never gone inside (yet) but the drive thru is always super quick, especially at the lunch time hour, and all 5 times I've gone the service I've received has always been nice and polite. Their waffle fries here are always perfect every single time. The struggle is real trying to not go here every week for lunch. I ordered egg white grill chicken sandwich meal. I substituted the hash browns for a fruit cup which was a $2 increase. Which is wild! BUT eating well on the go isn't cheap. The food came out hot, fresh and cooked to perfection. The chicken was juicy and tasted delicious and the coffee was good too. Honestly, for a fast food place this is where I would go. I am a big fan of both the food and the staff. Always tasty and always very polite, customer oriented and friendly. It pains me to deduct a star but I feel a warning about the kale side salad is needed. It was placed in my bag and was ready for pick up so the contents all shifted to one end. Unfortunately this only emphasized how very little you get. Perception is everything and after I saw my side salad, my perception is that kale must be as rare and as pricy as plutonium. During busy times you will have to wait maybe 5-10 minutes in the drive through, but they will get you in and out quickly. I literally had people honking at me when it was her that just kept going on and on about what was on the menu. I kept trying to interrupt her to let her no that I no what I want. I finally ordered the chicken on a roll with lettuce and mayo. By the time I picked it up and got thru about 1/4 of it, the bun started falling apart and became super wet. I really don't understand what the hype is here and why the lines are always so long?? It a take out fast food joint.....do Glastonbury children live on McDonald's and Chick-fil-A? My kids don't. I will say my kids gobble the chicken nuggets up here quicker than the ones at other fast food joints. If your a sauce person they have many to choose from but they will charge you for extra sauce....you can only get about two sauces free. Not the case at the fast food place next door they will give you as many as you ask for. The grilled nuggets were decent but scary to look at....kids wouldn't touch those. I really don't remember the fries except that they got cold quickly.... I think they were waffle fries? Guess I'll have to try something else next visit...... Even though it is fast food this restaurant has it together. I have been there dozens of times and my order has never been wrong. The food is always warm and fresh and the service is outstanding and puts the big chains to shame. Soooo happy to have a Chick-fil-A close by! Sometimes you just need fast food, and we love the option of real chicken and fast, friendly and accurate food service. It's a bit pricey for fast food, but I feel it's worth it. We really like the toys in the kids meals, some toys we have gotten are plastic garden tools and plastic/rubber/wood baking tools. You can also get a small book for kids under three, and our daughter loves them! When we get chicken nuggets at other fast food restaurants she picks at it, but at Chick-fil-A she devours them! And you have the option of grilled or breaded and fried. I also like the waffle fries, a tasty and different type of fry. I had a milkshake on this visit and it tasted like fresh strawberries instead of strawberry flavored chemicals. Can't wait to try breakfast here! Living in CT Chic-filet hasn't been an option for a quick bite to eat until now!!! Got me no fast food compares. The employees great you a friendly hello and make your experience easy and quick. The food is delicious. The Fries are waffle fries and are greAt for dipping in the many sauces they have. (My fav is the Sriracha Hot and Sweet). The chicken sandwiches are the best in fast food period!! My go to is the spicy deluxe!! AMAzing!!!! Nice and spicy with pepper jack cheese and a spicy delicious piece of chicken!!
