I went to raising Cane's today and got the three finger combo. It comes with three tender crispy chicken tenders, fries, toast, and cane sauce. This place was so much better than I expected. I had not heard great things about the fries, but they ended up being decent. The chicken is juicy and delicious with just the right amount of crisp. The toast is nice thick cut Texas toast with a little bit of butter. The real star of the show is the Cane sauce which is savory and peppery and goes perfectly with the chicken. A Gift Card made me do it! For free it was okay but glad I wasn't paying. I ordered the Combo Box with 4 Chicken Tenders. They were fine and needed the dipping sauce. It came with lemonade [good], Texas Toast [OK]. Crinkle Fries [passable] and Coleslaw [meh]. The place was mobbed on a hot Sunday afternoon and so noisy that I was concerned for my hearing. The shouting out of patron's ready orders and the music and the crowd [especially the graduation party of 12 adults] made for non-memorable ambience. Raising Canes specializes in fried Chicken Fingers and also serves chicken sandwiches, crinkle cut fries, coleslaw, and Texas Toast. It's funny how your prior experiences affect your perception of present experiences. I view my first visit on Day 2 of the Wethersfield Raising Canes's as a much better experience than my visit to the first CT Raising Cane's in Enfield. There, I waited about 30 minutes from the time I got in the drive thru line, until the time I got my food, and this was months after they first opened. By comparison, this trip to the Wethersfield RC at 11:15 on a Wednesday was a joy. The line was shorter. They managed the line well. Workers were outside by the Drive Thru menus. You paid there as you ordered. When it was my turn at the Drive Thru Window, I waited a couple minutes, got my food, and was on my way. It was maybe 10 minutes from line to food. I applaud RC on their planning and organization and this definitely improved my experience. The food was mixed, but mostly pretty good. I ordered the Box Combo. I remembered the chicken fingers as being being bigger, but maybe I'm not recalling that correctly. They are definitely smaller than the average chicken tenders you get at the best CT Hot Chicken places. The quality of the chicken itself was good. The batter was mixed. In some cases, there was enough batter and it was as a crispy as I wanted. In other cases, there was less batter or it wasn't as crispy as I liked. The crinkle fries were similarly mixed. But they were well salted. The Texas Toast is kind of basic (toasted and buttered sesame roll) but I strangely like it. The coleslaw is above average. I prefer other similarly priced chicken experiences within the general area. So I'm not likely to be a regular customer. They're worth trying though. This was my first time EVER going to Raising Canes, and I'm so glad I could be one of the few people to try it before they opened up in their new location in Wethersfield! First off I must say the staff was incredible and the service was great ! Everyone was so happy to be there and greeting everyone with a smile and so helpful ! I must say the parking is limited at this location, however there is plenty of parking at the adjacent buildings ( so no need to worry ) ! I ordered the chicken sandwich combo ! The chicken was phenomenal I loved it ! Definitely worth going to for the chicken. I loved that it was thick chicken tenders and lightly battered ( how I like it ) The fries on the other hand need some serious work . The only saving grace for the fries is the sauce ! I enjoyed my first trip to Raising Cane's. I stopped in midafternoon, a little surprised to see them so busy, but the wait wasn't bad. I've been wanting to try Raising Cane's ever since the Enfield location opened. I'm happy to have one very close to me now! I refused to come the first week of opening due to expected long lines. I'm very happy I waited - I came on a Saturday afternoon and walked inside to no line...the drive-thru was also not busy. I ordered the Combo Box and waited maybe 5 minutes for my order. My food was good - the chicken was flaky crispy and I liked the sauce. The fries didn't impress me, but I just don't really care for crinkle-cut fries in general. We weren't going to fall into the hype of going here on opening day, but traffic was light and the drive thru line wasn't very long, so we figured why not. We ended up ordering online and weren't sure how to enter the building to pick it up but pulled into the drive thru since that's typically how it's done. A worker approached and told us we had to go inside and to park anywhere we wanted, so my wife turned around and parked while I ran in to get the food. Inside was crazy busy with workers, but there was hardly anyone inside eating... maybe it wasn't allowed on opening day? Overall, though, it looked clean and would be nice a nice place to sit and eat when it's not so busy. Service was super fast and our order was ready within 5 minutes of ordering hitting submit on the order. We got home and checked our food and everything was correct... until I drank my "unsweetened" iced tea. It was clearly sweetened, but I still drank it. The food was fresh, and my wife enjoyed it, but I felt it was too greasy, and the chicken lacked flavor. The fries were good, and the Texas toast was awesome. This evening my son said he wanted to try it, even though he's had it before at other locations, so my wife stopped by while out and about. This time the service was slow and confusing. She decided to go through the drive thru so she wouldn't have to get out and said the line was quite long. Someone came up to the car and took her order, and she paid right there and just had to wait to get her food. Workers actually brought the food out to the cars way before drivers got to the pick up window, but it didn't make a difference because once you were in line, you were locked in with no where to go, and the wait was quite long to get out. Once home, she checked the order (should have checked it at the restaurant), and they forgot to include the Cane's sauce, which is kind of the point. I mean, otherwise, you're just eating plain ole chicken. Thankfully we had some sauce from another chicken restaurant, and my son used that. So, unfortunately, our experience wasn't very good. Went through the drive thru for my first time visiting this establishment. Service was wonderful, employees were kind and the food came out in a timely manner. I have to agree with what everyone says ... their sauce is delicious. However, I expected more from the chicken. Tried this place recently. Have heard about it for years so I was in area for lunch. I would say kinda disappointed. Chicken was bland and batter was falling off. The crinkle fries were good. Very Shake Shack like. The dipping sauce is great. A must have with this food otherwise it's really gonna be bland. The sweet tea I enjoyed as well. Staff were VERY friendly and I got what I ordered. In all honesty though you go for chicken strips and they weren't great in my opinion. I wouldn't say I would never go back but I don't think it would be a place I ever searched for if I wanted tenders/fried chicken. This particular location though is nice and prompt. Awesome chicken fingers! Perfectly moist & juicy, excellent flavor from dipping sauce. Ridiculously LONG LONG wait for the drive-through no matter when I've come. They have two windows to take payment and put out food, but they never seem to have both open, in spite of having many staffers milling around. Two lines to place order is pointless if they both combine at a single lane at the single window, which takes payment and then wait and wait and wait , and eventually hands you your food. This is the first time that I've tried Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers. The staff was friendly at the drive thru window. Although, to be fair, they were also gushing over my dog. When we got our food, we found out that they had messed up our order. My fiancée ordered the sandwich box, but got The Box meal instead, which she didn't mind and ate it anyway. Now it's time to get to the food. The chicken had a decent crisp and the meat was super moist. The problem is that there is no seasoning on it whatsoever. The sauce has to do all of the heavy lifting for the flavor. The sauce was amazing, but chicken shouldn't have to do all of the lifting for the chicken. The fries were well salted...VERY well salted. Not too much to make it inedible, but very heavily salted. The coleslaw tasted like it was just mayo add and no other seasoning. While I am not a big fan of coleslaw, this was bland and flavorless. I wanted to be excited over this, but I found it a little underwhelming. Would I recommend it? Probably not. It's fine, but there's not a lot of flavor to the chicken or coleslaw. It's fine as an "it'll do" food solution. I would take it over McDonald's, but if you're closer to a KFC, Chick-fil-A, or a Popeye's, you'd probably be better off. read more

Love canes so much great food! Went for opening day and was super excited cuz I live in wethersfield so ofc I wanted to support. Got there and it wasn't too busy so not much of a wait.Ordered my food at drive thru and once I had gotten to the window, lady gave me my food but forgot mh cup of sauce. I let her know I had ordered it and she said she'd be right back. Now, if I hadn't paid for it I would've just drove off, not a big deal, but I did so I'm going to get it. Once she left my car she goes back to the window and began giving other people their orders from behind me. So now I was just holding up the line and I felt bad. Another lady come to me and asks me to move forward. And there was a big tent so I asked "under the tent" and she said yes. So I waited there. Another 2 minutes go by and she came back to me again and asked me to go up the front door. I'm like umm okay over a cup of sauce?Doesn't reply to me and walks back to the window to help others.
