Whenever I do a fast food chain review when doing drive thru, there are a few key items that can make or break that experience. Stopped in around 7:15pm on a weekday. Line: lightning fast Order: super friendly, quick and moved everyone along efficiently Pick up: another friendly staff member, and all items ordered were exactly correct, including personal family options like no tomato, extra sauce, and no ice in the drink. Food: piping hot and fresh when I got home. Whole family had exactly what they wanted, with hot and fresh spicy deluxe sandwiches, crispy and hot fries, crispy and hot nuggets, melty and steamy mac n cheese. I arrived at 8:55pm to grab dinner after a long work day. I placed order via mobile app and went through the drive thru. I ordered 8 ct nuggets meal with fries, Coke Zero, and a brownie. There, I noticed a sign saying they weren't selling any grilled items due to issue with the grill. Thankfully, I didn't plan on getting grilled items, which is what I typically would get. It wasn't busy. There were no cars at the order screen and maybe 4 cars ahead of me. I received my order quickly, at 8:58pm. The staff who provided my order was very friendly. My fries were the perfect temperature but unsure if they were the freshest. They were about to close, so I didn't have too high of expectations. The nuggets were crispy and tasty. We didn't have to wait too long to order or for our food. Everyone was nice. I'm not sure if they were switching between shifts, but there were a lot of employees around, but not working. During the day time, the drive thru is quicker. If it is after 4:30pm, expect a long wait. We ordered our food, sat down, ate and watched a car move 30 feet in the drive-thru. I'm talking double line wrapped around the building and out in the side street. It does not deter people from this location, because it is like this ALL the time. It isn't like they are standing around. They are working hard! The take out ordering is not much faster unless you have a mobile order. So during this time, we figured out that ordering at the counter and dining in was the quicker option. We were happy with this. I like the interior of this Chick-fi-la. There is a lot of seating, plus towards the back they have board games. The tables are always clean. I devour their diet lemonade and my daughter chugs down the passion fruit lemonade. The spicy southwest salad is my favorite meal right now with a side of Tortilla soup. I wish this soup was year round. Customer service is the company mission. You can see everything on their menu down to the silverware and condiments are catered to the customer. The ketchup packets make it easy to pour or dip. The cups are sturdy. This review is more about the menu item than about the restaurant itself, but I will mention a thing or two about this CFA location. 1- Like any CFA, it's always busy. If you're going to park in the CFA parking lot, I prefer parking in the back, behind the store. It's usually easier to get out that way. 2- I don't find this site to have the friendliness I expect when visiting CFA. The mobile pick up spot at the counter gets pretty congested, and because of its location within the store, I found myself staring at the dirty floor behind the counter while waiting for my food. Not the most pleasant site. Now the food... Being a huge CFA mac & cheese fan, I was ecstatic to see we now have the option to add one of my other favorites- BACON! Add a side of bacon bits to my mac-n-cheese for only 85 cents??!! Umm, yes please!! I admit that I had second thoughts upon seeing how small the side of bacon bits was. Would this be enough, or would I be left broken hearted and wanting more?? Well, I'm happy to tell you it was the former. It was just enough to give that hint of bacon without overpowering the cheesiness of the Mac-n-cheese. That being said, even with "enough" bacon, I was left wanting more. Perhaps my expectations are too high. But when I order something like mac & cheese, I expect the cup to be full. No empty space. And this is not the first time I've left with a cup of Mac & cheese & empty space. And I don't like it-- the empty space that is. This is the worst CFA I've been to. I'd rather drive the extra miles to go to another location. Tonight I was right there, so I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and ordered 4 pc tender meal with a side salad. I visited chick-fil-A at the village at north elm and I had a bad experience. The manager Rachel acted if I was nasty , black . I watched her play in her hair while on the food line and serving food. I think that I will avoid them for a while because of her. She wasn't to black friendly. This location, like every other one I have been in is staffed with wonderfully polite and engaging people who seem genuinely happy to cook chicken for me! It's hard to ask a whole lot more out of a fast food restaurant. Remember back before Disney lost its collective mind, you could go to any location or any event they sponsored and walk away thinking, "Those are the happiest people I have ever met!" We were waiting in line in the drive thru waiting for our turn as we could see the person taking orders in the car in front of us. Staff was rude i asked to speak with a manger and was told they was in the back and would not come out and speak with me. I asked for a chicken wrap with no lettuce and cabbage i cant eat it due to medical reasons. Was approached by a young lady to inform they couldn't do this . This CFA is probably the worst. I went through the drive thru after my son fell asleep and didn't want to wake him up. Anyone with a baby knows not to wake up a sleeping baby. When it's 11:45 on a work day- They should have people out taking orders if they can't speed up the drive thur, like all other CFA's in the triad . I waited 23 mins in line for a salad and a kids grilled nugget meal with fruit. This is absolutely ridiculous. A nice Chick-fil-A location, always clean, always packed during lunch hours. The drive-thru moves pretty quick even when the line is wrapped half way around the building. Super friendly staff here. This one, like most, has an indoor play area for the youngsters. I love the Chick-fil-A chicken sandwiches & their chicken nuggets, but I hate how the sandwich sweats in the little pouch they come in making the bun sometimes flat & a bit soggy if it's been in there even for just a few minutes, maybe they should let the chicken cool a bit before packaging. The food is always piping hot here, they are always busy enough that the food doesn't have time to lay around on the holding rack. I have to deduct a star for the sweaty sandwiches I get more often than not here. read more

I was not pleased with the meal from here my food was cold nuggets were hard and on top of that there was a hair in my food. ( I have locs) I had to pay extra for my dressing where no one else charges extra for but them. Wow. I just spent over 20 minutes in this FAST food drive thru line. All I ordered was a sandwich. I had my dog with me so I couldn't park and walk in. The old drive thru was better than this. I was just at the Chick-fil-A in Wilmington near the mall. Equally as crowded but the line flew. The workers hustled. Several were running. You either need to hire more workers or pay your workers for how many orders they take. Right now they are in slow motion. Today the girl in my line had a problem and ran in leaving us stuck until she returned. In the meantime the other line worker took 6 more orders so that put us way back in the line. If you run or own this drive thru please take the time to drive thru it in disguise a few days during lunch. Then you will see what you are asking your customers to endure. Sadly I will not be back if I have to do drive thru. BTW the other day I got out of drive thru, parked, ordered inside and got my order and got back to car before the car in front of me had even ordered. No wait inside with several workers just standing at cash registers. Why weren't they running food to cars instead. Go observe Wilmington. You could learn a ton. read more
