Almost made the opening of the one in Marietta GA when we went down to visit my Son and his family but missed the opening by a couple of day. Tried the one in Hickory which was one of the first to open in the area. Had a line but traffic moved at a good pace. Ordered the Double Meat Whataburger and I must say that it was very good although I prefer my Onions sliced and not chopped. Meat patties were cooked very well and were flavorful. Tomatoes and lettuce were fresh and not wilted. The Combo came with fries and a drink. Fries were crisp and properly salted. Most burger chains in the area skimp on the salt. All in all, very satisfied and will definatly come agin.

There was one stop just to get a receipt so that seemed unnecessary. Service was mostly friendly until I got my food. Both the bag and beverage were tipped as the woman was trying to hold two orders at once. This didn't seem to save any time and my order could have spilled. The food was fine and the order accurate.

It was perfectly fried and very crispy. The bun held together and didn't fall apart. If you are gluten free, you know this is hard to find. It's one on my favorite things to order here and a can't miss if you love fried okra. The next favorite was hush puppies. They reminded me of the hush puppies I used to eat growing up and have missed dearly. The prefect combination of sweet and crunchy. And i couldn't leave without trying the fried pickles.
