4/24/26 went to ruby tuesday first time in over a decade. Bad experience. When we got there, they ask us to wait, when I looked around the restaurant there were many seats open. There were others waiting also before us. We waited about 10-15 min then a bus load of people come in and got off and was seated. So we left and went to Mi-Caretta instead. Four of us went to Ruby Tuesday's the other evening. We finally got to order and we waited. The server brought out 3 of our meals and my husband's didn't come out and we finished our meals. My husband just told him to cancel his because we had Togo to church. We waited forever it seemed like for him to come back and give us our bill. He brought out my husband's meal in a go box after he told him to cancel it. And he said there would be no charge. But he did charge me for the meal that we didn't take. Very poor service!!! I was disappointed by good old Ruby Tuesday's when I ate there very recently. I got the All you can Eat salad bar. I was there when they opened, but my friend and I both felt some of the items didn't seem top notch fresh. The greens were great, but the toppings that were meant to be crispy were sometimes missing the mark. Also, when you pay $12 plus tax and tip, there should be some good items up there! First time at this ruby Tuesday. All the staff were very friendly and the restaurant appeared to be clean. It wasn't too busy for it being a Saturday night. I observed the salad bar and it was pretty sad. A lot of stuff was pretty low and it didn't look like any of the staff were concerned about it. I ordered the grilled chicken salad and my guest had the 8 oz sirloin. Our waiter was at attentive and overly friendly. However after receiving our food the drink refills went down. I waited over 10 minutes before I got my water refilled. Nothing special about the food. The grilled chicken salad was $12 and to be honest Zaxby's has a bigger and more ingredients in their salads and it's $8. My guest said the steak was very chewy and was bland. Not impressed with this restaurant and won't be back. Looking for a great salad, go to Zaxby's up the street. read more

I went inside while the phone was still ringing and no one answered. So I waited at the counter... and I waited.... And I waited.... Finally the bartender says "I'll be right with you." I'm not sure what is going on with the experiences some others have had but every time my partner & I have eaten here it was great! We have had the salad bar, drinks and food and it was all great. Arrived around 3 pm for a quick trip to the "Garden Bar". I know it's tough to keep a giant salad bar manicured in the tween times, that is between lunch and dinner, but that's when I passed through. Breads and crackers were mostly missing from action. Most of the cherry tomatoes were wrinkled from old age. The marinated broccoli salad had florets that were brown. With the buy one get one special coupon in hand, I decided to give them another go. Due to the rona, I used curbside pickup. The curbside system when using a coupon could use some tweaking, such as being able to use the coupon with online ordering instead of requiring the order to be phoned in, and some way to make payment without personal contact. Food wise, not much has changed. Ordered steaks/baked potato/salad. The steaks, while cooked as ordered, were completely without flavor. No flavor. No seasoning. Zero flavor. 1 star is generous. Worst restaurant experience I have ever had. Salad bar food was worse than old, it was rotten, spoiled, disgusting. We were told they were changing out the lettuce, they did, with more rotten lettuce. The beets were so bad I spit them out. The waitress brought my husband's food out and I explained the salad bar was bad, and that I actually had to spit food out. She said "oh really" and walked off, never to be seen again. My husband's sliders were pucks of something. Thankfully we got Brian, the best thing about this place, who brought the manager. Obviously we told her what happened she offered new food, yeah no. I loved Ruby Tuesday when I lived in Atlanta but the wait staff ruined this one for me. The first time I went my husband and I were seated and the place was packed. We understood that they were busy so it would take awhile, but 45 minutes later we had yet to get a drink or even a menu yet people around us ate, left, and were replaced. We ended up walking out. At the door the hostess asked if we enjoyed our meal and we said "what meal?" and stated what happened and she said "Oh well' A few months later I decided to try again. I went in right after the lunch rush and there were a few tables with business people doing various lunch meetings but not that busy. This time I got the menu and drink but little attention after that and no refills. Went for dinner last night with my parents and my daughter. Immediately upon walking in, you are hit with the smell of moldy carpet. It's just doesn't smell good at all when you come in the front area. Then it took 15 minutes before someone came to get our drink order. No one gave us a kids menu when we came in, so then we had to ask for one when someone finally came to get the drink order. When I lived on Hilton Head Island we went to Ruby Tuesdays at least twice a month which was pretty regular for broke college students. I had always loved the salad bar there and any meal I got was delicious! Come on Ruby Tuesday's what happened when you came to Lenoir??? Dirty carpet, musty smelling, dirty doors and glasses, dirty bathrooms and salad bar. Bland tasteless food, over cooked steaks, devil may care waitstaff, and I guess it's just an all around bad dining experience. Corporate it's time to clean house and make this restaurant the best we know it could be! Please help us out! And speaking to corporate what happened to the fresh delicious food that could be had in your restaurant? I agree with what another commenter said about the salad bar tasting processed. Chemicals that you can taste on the lettuce and other produce, some kind of fake Bologna type ham substitute, and cheap substitutions that have been made over the years. Shocking and disappointing. Shaking my head. When we want a sit down middle of the road dining experience we head up the street to Fatz. Please bring back the quality we once had and remember with fondness. I'd give Ruby Tuesday's 2 & a half stars. Since I can't, I'm giving them 3 for effort... I think Ruby Tuesday's is way overpriced for what you get, but I know that's a "corporate thing" and not because of the local franchise owner. I've been to this one about 4-5 times, three of which was because I'd get a coupon in the mail for a reduced price salad bar -- which they seem to have stopped sending. A coupon for a meal for half off if you get two meals, doesn't exactly work when a person normally dines by themselves. 3 of the 5 times I ate there, I felt like they were operating a daycare center for some of the waitstaff. Since I was alone I sat in the bar area mainly so I could watch TV. But good grief, seeing a kid racing around and/or screaming, made me wonder how management allows something like that! It was during off-peak hours, but still, it was very obvious the kid belonged to one of the waitresses who wasn't working that day. The first time I ate there was on my birthday, and I'd decided to go all out, and ordered a NY Strip steak. What I was served was a very far cry from the hundreds of NY strips I'd eaten over my lifetime. It wasn't that it was only a half inch thin, but it was fatty and tough. I sent it back, the manager was kind enough to apologize and agree with me. He sent out another one, and it was just as bad as the first. He asked me if I wanted another, and I told him I'd filled up on salad, baked potato, and iced tea so much while waiting, and to not bother. But I commend him for genuinely trying to accommodate me, because not only did he have a 3rd steak cooked for me, but boxed it up for carry out, along with another baked potato, and didn't charge me a dime for anything! That impressed me to no end, and I praise for the guy is well deserved. The waitress that day was beyond nice, so I left her a huge tip. I've always loved their salad bars, which is the number one reason I dine there. Unlike another reviewer, I've never felt their salad bar items were processed -- I don't know how raw vegetables can be processed anyway... I've eaten their ribs, and for the lofty price they charge, I'd say they're so-so, and not at all worth the money. Ruby Tuesday's seems to put a lot of money into ambience and upscale-looking menus, and they need to pay closer attention to providing first-rate food, especially seeing they're asking an arm and leg for it! Got a to go order. Ordered 2 burgers and fries. Not sure how you mess up something so simple. We get there and 4 of the servers are sitting in a booth chilling out. Phone is ringing (Now I know why it took a few rings to answer), took a couple of minutes to get acknowledged by the bartender (who is the only one who looks like she's actually working) and she takes payment. Not let me make sure your food is ready. I'd ask for the manager, but she came out of the kitchen. Didn't seem very concerned. Phone is ringing again and one of the servers very audibly says "I don't get paid enough to answer that." And she doesn't. Finally a different one gets up and answers it. The food we got was cold. This is a pretty good place to eat. Waitress (Chelsea H) was very attentative as my son is uber picky. She made sure he had biscuits. The salad bar isnt what it used to be, but I think that is company wide. Their entrees here are really tasty. This is the first time that I felt my steak was a little underseasoned. The doneness was on point though; my steak was medium and my wife's was medium rare and they were cooked perfectly. After all was said and done, for 2 entress, an appitizer, 2 drinks, and more biscuits than ive ever seen, it totaled 47.00. Not to bad. Better prices elsewhere, but hey, it was two steaks. Went here to have a great meal but the cook in the back believes he is the authority on All IDs both of the friends I was with have the new NC IDs that look totally different from the old ones 100% official real NC IDs but could not be served drinks because they had fake IDs you know you get paid 9.00 a hour to cook my food not to believe you know it all. Will not be eating here anytime soon so much disrespect next time you want to be hassled go here you think a establishment like this would be up to date on local IDs I could see if it was out of state or something.
