We had just arrived at MSY to start the journey back home when we discovered there was a CFA in our terminal. Hell. Yea. I almost did a little happy dance. I know we have them in Vegas now, but I still only enjoy it once in a while since there aren't any locations near me. We got here roughly 45 minutes before closing time. Sweet! We have time. Popped into this Chick-Fil-A in MSY for a quick breakfast before our flight, and it was great. You really never can go wrong with this chain, and this location ran nearly as well as many of the others. It's the airport, so the selection is not as vast as the brick and mortar locations, but still the great basics. Staff was friendly and made sure the orders were right, the food came out pretty quickly and accurately. As always, the fresh chicken had its signature flavor and the mini rolls had the honey punch you expect. We were in and out in a quick minute, just as with any regular location. The chicken minis were just enough to hit the spoke, and the hash browns were packed in the box and nearly pouring out of it. Be sure to check it out, even if the line looks daunting. It's BAD! I've heard great things about the Chick-Fil-A chicken burgers. Again, we don't have this chain back where I'm from, so I was excited when it's my turn to finally try it. And boy I was disappointed. Let's start with the good. The cashier lady was somewhat pleasant. I didn't get food poisoning, and I didn't get physically robbed at this food court area. In terms of the food though... I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich combo with pop and their standard waffle fries. The chicken was dry as heck, and there's no crunch. The waffle fries were a bit soggy and probably had 20 times more salt than necessary. I was raised to never waste food, yet I had to throw out 70 percent of these fries so I don't die from instant kidney failure. The only thing that was really acceptable able the meal was the fountain drink. In all fairness, there's no way this is their standard (not a chance it'd still be in business if that's what they normally serve) I was probably just very unlucky this time. I came here for breakfast and ordered a Dr. pepper with my meal. The cashier said "sorry we only have water, orange juice, and coffee. We ran out of cups" First of all, you are literally pouring the coffee into - you guessed it - a CUP. Sure it's a coffee cup, but I don't see why she couldn't just put some Dr. pepper in there for me instead. Went to go eat at a chick-fil-a and they didn't have chick-fil-A sauce. Also they forgot the fries and had to go back and get them. And then they handed us a small when we order a large and we were just to tired to deal with it so we just took the small. The service was not the best I seen better at other chick-fil-a they all seemed very unhappy. The ambience is what you'd expect at an airport. I was told "No, we don't do that - they are premade" as she rolled her eyes. My receipt says the name of the cashier was employee Vivian C. # 614232, who clearly did not like her job, had a nice attitude to those in front of me in line as well, at any rate she is not a person I'm used to coming across at any chick-fil-a I have been to. I then felling pressured as a line was forming behind me, I ordered the chick-fil-a deluxe, waffle fries and strawberry lemonade. HUGE MISTAKE. Was it not stored properly, was it wilted? The cashier, Nicole, was not Chick-fil-A's normal standard, she was rude and she didn't repeat the order so I didn't know if she got the meal it the entree. My brother, who is a Chick-fil-A assistant manager, got a chicken sandwich with cheese--it was cold. This indicates old chicken. The pickles sandwich was not up to size regulation. We ordered sauces and got none! What kind of store asks what sauces you want and then doesn't give them to you!?? At the end of the order she didn't even give us the receipt after we asked for it. In conclusion Chick-fil-A has a high reputation that this store did not uphold I am very disappointed. I want to make sure I get the correct location in the MSY terminal. It was Delaware North store 80709. The lines to place an order was very very long and slow moving. The area to pick up food was crowded. The CS taking orders were slow. It was 2 of them and 1 kept stopping to refill cups. Like I get restocking but can you move a bit faster. Unfortunately that was the girl I got. My daughter ordered a chicken sandwich meal. I ordered a side salad. We have Chick-Fil-A points and was going to redeem them for 8 nuggets only to find out they don't use rewards . So we opted for 12 nuggets. Total bill a whopping $22.49. I asked her for the receipt because I could understand why the total was so high. As it turns out she charged me for the nuggets meal. She was nonchalant and not listening. Since I had all this food I asked for the manager to take off the salad. He said it was easier to just refund the full price and don't worry about anything. This CFA is hidden a little bit off the main walkway. Which is both good and bad. Good that it keeps people out of the walkway for most of the foot traffic. Bad in that it may be hard for some people to find. They do not have a complete menu. On the day we visited, we were told that we could not order large fries because the button on the register prevented the staff from actually punching it in. Also, they did not have chicken strips. So what helps this situation a lot is the terminal just opened a year ago. So as part of this big nice airport all the areas are very clean and new. Bright lights and nothing is old or worn. I thought the Chick-Fil-A was nice, not busy, and the employees were pleasant and efficient. Food met my expectations like it almost always does at this chain. The place seemed very upbeat. The restaurant is towards the C gates after security. Before you make the turn to the actual gates. It is hidden behind a larger store which I think is interesting. When walking down the hall you actually will not see it unless you look between the shelves in the variety store in front of it. The only really negative I saw was there was just two tables to sit. This morning they both were taken so there was nowhere to sit. I walked to the gate area and sat there so no big deal but if I had a family with me that would be a pain. read more

Walked away hungry at this airport Chick-fil-a. Breakfast menu was up on the electronic board (10:00 am). I often buy salads in the morning as I am a frequent traveler, so I asked the expediter at the end of the counter if salads were prepared yet. She checked the fridge and told me they had both varieties ready. I got in line and changed my mind to the Egg White Grill which was on the board as No. 5. Manager was working the register. She said "we don't sell that. Only numbers 1-4." I said "oh really...well it is on the menu board so I figured I would get it." No big deal, I would just get a salad. She told me I could not get a salad until 10:30 (time was now 10:06). I asked if she "couldn't" ring up the salad, or if she "wouldn't" sell me one before 10:30. She said she would not and sarcastically smiled. She was very clearly 'doing a thing' about the salad and seemed all too happy to let me walk away hungry.
