The Kinston, NC Chick-fil-A didn't have the most effective setup. I placed a mobile order, but for pickup inside. There was an area for delivery driver pickups and an area for the rest of us. The food seemed to be made quickly, but they were not good at getting it to those who ordered, so it sat for a while and cooled. I want my fries hot. Then I had to ask for my beverage as it wasn't given to me. I expect more from Chick-fil-A. read more

My recent trip to this Chick-fil-A has cured me from ever visiting again. Ordered two shakes on mobile app. Was told to wait in drive thru. Several customers behind me received orders with more items than me. After 20 minutes and no shakes went into store. Was received with mediocre attitude and a sarcastic sorry when I explained what happened. Rude workers! They could care less that a customer waited that long for two shakes. The people working the drive thru didn't seem to care my car was waiting for a lengthy time and wouldn't ask what my order was or why it hadn't been served. They had plenty of time to gab with each other! I will drive out of town before visiting here again. This store doesn't represent the service I've seen elsewhere. read more

When you're on a long trip far away from home, comfort is key for little ones. In comes Chikfila, however, much to our surprise the menu items we were long accustomed to were not the one we were presented. No Mac & Cheese, no fruit option, no half/half diet/regular lemonade, no toy joy. After we got to the drive up window we did find out we happen to come on their last day of business before they close to remodel. Opening back in April 2024. The person taking our order did not appear happy to be there and when we asked for certain items she only said they did not have any. I'm rarely disappointed at Chick-fil-A. They train their staff to be courteous, prompt and accurate. Whenever I need a protein boost, I pop in for some nuggets to satisfy my craving. The grilled chicken wrap with avocado lime dressing is typically my go to lunch! I also love their Greek Yogurt Parfait with fruit and granola! But my fav item on the menu, that only makes an appearance during winter, is the Peppermint shake!! It's a treat I look forward to all year long! This Chick-fil-A checked all the boxes! read more

I've been coming to Chick-fil-A for years and have actually been expecting at least one bad visit. I mean come on, the associates are ALWAYS happy? The food is ALWAYS good? The experience is ALWAYS pleasant? But no matter what chain I go to, Chick-fil-A somehow never seems to skip a beat in the service they've been known for supplying by all far and wide. This location's parking lot can get congested at times due to it being the only location here and it's far reaching notoriety. The inside is clean every time I've visited (in all honesty it could be happenstance or really strong cleanliness values). The customer service has always been a greeting, no problem with refills from behind the counter (they don't make you feel like you're bugging them), and my order has always been correct the first time. Even watching the staff interact, they seem to genuinely enjoy their job. They're happy as if THAT'S the job! All of this and more is while I'll keep coming back, and if I ever have a moment of bad customer service I'll be sure to update the review. But don't hold your breath! Chick-fil-A - Spicy chicken meal and their chicken bites meal - Fast Food Near Me - Kinston, North Carolina

Went to dine at this location with friends that I haven't seen in a year or so. With that being said, we ate, sat and talked for a total of 3 1/2 hours to catch up. When we leave, we are approached by the police and told that while we were there "we were making the female employees uncomfortable by looking at them behind the counter" which was not true at all. A report was made by the police department on false accusations and feelings. The worst part of the story is that 2 1/2 hours into the dining experience we were approached by 2 employees asking if we need any refills or more food. We say "No, thank you". One of my friends did go back up and get a milkshake. While this was being asked, I then asked the employees "Do we need to leave? We have been here a while and if we need to go then let us know." The employees tell us "No sir. You can stay as long as you want." Why call the cops instead of telling us to leave when I asked? This situation seems a little too weird. The owner called me after talking with corporate and said that it was a "misunderstanding" but it seems like someone is trying to get others in trouble. All could have been avoided by telling us to leave when I asked! Could it be a little bit of racial profile? I'll leave that for you to decide. Even close to closing time, CFA offers a quality customer experience. I entered at 9:45, 15 minutes before closing. Even though lots of pre closing activities were going on, I was promptly and politely greeted at the counter. Food order was ready quickly. My CFA sandwich was hot off the grill (had to let it cool a bit). Even my request for a beverage refill to go right at closing time was handed politely. read more

This location does NOT do well with large orders. After ordering enough food for 6 people, and getting the order wrong (2 persons' food (1 had a salad, 1 had a sandwich and fries) was missing from the order). It's a good thing we checked our food before we left. Beware when a cashier doesn't repeat the order to you and merely assumes that she's incapable of making mistakes. It seems that this location needs to implement training with their cashiers to avoid these issues in the future. This is the worst chickfila I've ever been to. We pass through on the way to the beach. Third strike, I'm done. This occasion, I ordered on mobile app 15 min before I arrived for inside pickup. We got there and they had a line so we went to restroom. I waited for 20 min and asked if they had our order because my app looked weird. I told him it was holding the funds and he said we were fine. 10 more min I asked again, they didn't see my order on the screen but again assured me they were just behind. I went up to register and asked for a manager because I felt like something wasn't right. He said he was the manager, looked up my order and it was stuck in system. I was still understanding. He said a couple more min(I'm already at 40). I waited 15 more. I went up and he said another 15!!!! I waited almost an hour already. The RIGHT thing to do was to get my order since the app and their system had it stuck and I'd waited that long. He was the manager and said there was nothing he could do. I just asked for my money back. He didn't offer anything for my wait or anything. We went to New Bern, excellent and fast service! We will NOT stop here again! I put in a complaint that night on the app, chickfila cares said the store would be reaching out. It's been a week....no one has. As a side note, we are friends with the owner of our local store. When the lines are long they have people out there taking orders to speed up the process, during breakfast they have great meals and amazing chicken! highly recommend and you can also do pick up or curbside with the app!! so you don't always have to go through the drive through!! great employees they are always so sweet and kind!! read more

Drive thru guy Mr. Fred is very rude and horrible at directing traffic! We tried pulling in the drive-thru line and he had us pull forward then made us drive all the way back around the store to get back in the line! We stop here quite a bit on our way to and from the beach. The service is always good, and the restaurant is always clean - bathrooms included. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because, even though the chicken is good (it's Chick Fil A, right?), it doesn't have that stereotypical taste to it. I noticed it a while back, a few years ago actually, and it hasn't changed. I don't know how they bread the chicken, etc. But the taste isn't as strong as most other Chick Fil As I've been to. We will continue to go back, even though it doesn't taste the exact same. We're not big on fast food, but eating at Chick Fil A doesn't make me feel horrible full or "blah" after I'm done eating like most other fast food places. Also, they have great milkshakes. read more

It is "my pleasure" to share with you my less than pleasant experience at this location. Nothing but bratty high school kids inside this restaurant. Minimal supervision and oversight. On my most recent visit, my cashier was for some reason, mad at me. After taking my order with a lemonade, she proceeded to slow pour it in such a way to let out excess pulp and lemonade seeds. After visiting this Chick Fila for over 15 years and having positive experiences, I was sad to have a Bad one today. I have Celiac and order grilled nuggets and ask them to red flag it. Today I was told by 3 different associates that they didn't carry gluten free nuggets. I asked for a manager who confirmed that the menu had not changed. I asked kindly that he train his staff and he walked away. I noted on my receipt that they didn't red flag it. We will be finding another Chick Fila which is sad as this one was convenient. Great food as always, we both had chicken strips. Friendly staff. Fast eat-in service at 1:45 pm on a Saturday, very impressive! But the toilets REALLY needed some attention! I immediately was turned off by placing my order at the intercom of the drive-thru. I felt the woman taking my order was rushing me. Once I was handed my order I asked for a large cup of ice water. The woman then proceeded to tell me that it's going to be a charge and I have never paid for ice water at no Chick-fil-A location ever prior.
