I like Chick-fil-A Sauce. Grilled Chicken Sandwich is very good. Visited around 11:30 AM on a Saturday. The line moved fast - about 10 minutes wait. Clean dining area and friendly staff as always. Food: We ordered 4 Spicy Deluxe meals. The chicken sandwich lived up to the hype - whole breast filet, juicy, crispy coating with just the right amount of heat. The Pepper Jack cheese melted nicely, and the lettuce/tomato added freshness. Waffle fries were classic - crispy outside, fluffy inside, lightly salted. A few notes for those who prefer lighter or less sweet options: 1. The buns are slightly sweet - both the white bun and multigrain brioche contain some sugar. If you avoid sweetness entirely, ask for "white bun, unbuttered" when ordering. It cuts down the sweetness noticeably. 2. Watch out for sauces - Their signature sauce, Honey Roasted BBQ, Polynesian, etc., all have added sugar. Go with Mustard or Zesty Buffalo if you want minimal sweetness. 3. Grilled Chicken Sandwich is not in the default meal combo - You'll need to customize on the app or tell the cashier separately if you want the non-fried option. Our table ended up with all fried sandwiches this time - delicious but heavy. Next time I'll order a Grilled Chicken Sandwich for myself. 4. Default drink is Coke - The meal comes with a medium Coke. Swap it for unsweetened iced tea or Diet Lemonade if you prefer. Price: 4 meals came to $55.99 after tax (~$14/person). Reasonable for fast food. Verdict: Great fried chicken, perfect for a treat. On Saturday near closing we ordered two of the Jalapeño ranch club sandwiches, which cost $15.99 each. This was done over the mobile app, and it said the sauces were included. We picked this up in the drive thru, and when we got home we realized there was no jalapeño ranch sauce, which was the whole point of the sandwiches. We just had two plain overpriced sandwiches. We called customer support the following Monday, since they are closed Sunday. They agreed that we didn't get what we paid for, and said we'd be getting credits for the sandwiches. However the following day I get an email from the Karen, the manager of this Chick-Fil-A, and she said they reviewed footage, and the mistake was on our part because we asked for too many sauces (we also had fries and some other things in the order). We spent over $50 on this meal and they are being stingy over two sauce packets. I will never go to this location, or any other Chick-Fil-A, ever again. I can never finish that whole sandwich so ate a half of the chicken breast without the bun, and added some lettuce and grape tomatoes at home and it was very good with their bbq sauce. Also dipped the waffle fries in the bbq sauce with added Tabasco sauce. So yummy! Shout out to Beth Scott at drive thru and the young man who took my order and giving me a nugget of insider info about this location. For the last 6 months, this location tucked away in Lake Forest near its City Hall has been serving mini chicken bites all day and I had no clue. I find out that the Laguna Niguel Location has also now started to do the same. Now, one will no longer have to try to scurry to get to a location before the 11am time frame to snag a few minis. First time to Chick- fil-A. Violet who helped us with our orders was super we were lost, she was awesome I'd come back just to see her the restaurant is sparkling clean. We took our orders home to enjoy (2 mile drive) my Cobb salad was very good the greens could of been chilled to make it delicious, lots of large pieces of breaded seasoned chicken the cherry tomatoes were chilled crisp and fresh avocado dressing was great The 2 other combos spicy chicken and grilled chicken were less than stellar both my wife and 90 yr old friend were disappointed chicken was a small portion. Waffle cut fry's were also small portions soft and could have been cooked longer, both didn't finish them. My wife's chocolate shake was good it came with a cherry. Yahir the FOH Champion took our order with easy. Mary at the window allowed us to add on to our order at the window after seeing her make a shake we couldn't resist to try one. She added one vanilla milkshake to our order. Spicy chicken Deluxe hit the hunger spot after a day in the sun. Sorry no photos the empty boxes. The CFA ice makes me want an ice maker that makes their ice at home. We didn't make our way inside since the kiddos knocked out. But it seemed like a good place to eat with all the amenities you expect at a CFA and a Total Wine next door. A suggestion is that when the employees come out to the dining room for their breaks, they should not be using their phones on speaker. Using phone is fine, but not on speaker and loud volume. It's annoying. The short time I was there, three different employees sat in the dining room and used their phone speakers to have a loud call or watch loud videos. Roger - Shift Lead RUDE I do not live in the area and am only here about once a month. That doesn't mean I eat at Chick fill A when I am here. I drove through beginning of Dec about 30 min prior to closing. I ordered grilled nugget meal. My order was there right when I paid as I was the only one in line. I thought Wow that was quick. I only opened the bag to eat my waffle fries as I was driving. I got home 20 min later I opened my nuggets and they were so dry and very dark ( not just the grill marks ). I have traveled this way before eating my nuggets at home. It was too late to call so I called the next day and spoke to ROGER the shift lead. I told him how quick I was handed my bag and how the nuggets looked. I said it appeared that they had been sitting there too long and maybe I was given whatever was left at the end of the day. It was easy to see they were not edible and not chick fil A standards. The response from Roger was "what do you want me to do about it. ? That was yesterday. ". I said well you were closed when I got home. Roger -" maybe they dried out on your way home " This continued with Roger and I. His attitude only fueled me to keep going to see if he would show some good customer service. Nope. Roger - "you could always come back but without seeing them when you got them we can't do much. " I told him this call was initially to let him know about the nuggets. I wasn't looking for anything. Just an FYI So he tells me he will send me a gift card for the nuggets. The whole time Roger is sighing heavily and often on the phone, like I am wasting his time. I got the gift card and put it in my wallet for the next time I wqnted chick fil A. This El Toro Road Laguna Hills store is by my mother's house and so I figured next time I want it I will go there. Here we are today March 10th and I am leaving my moms and it's dinner time. So I decide to go inside to eat instead of in traffic. Roger is at the counter and I give my card and order fries and a drink. Roger says "sorry you can't use this card because it's expired " and hands it back to me pointing out the Offer Expires 12/31/2025 in small print. Not sure why that has an offer expires. It was my money wasted on the nuggets so I should have been sent a gift card not this. I said I didn't realize that and I rarely eat at any chick fil A's. A Roger "so what do you want to do ? Still want the meal ?" I said yes and continued with my order. At this point I had not told Roger that he was the one that sent me the card. All I did was ask for corporates number. Roger "mam corporate is not going to do anything for you. They will tell you the same thing that the card is expired." Now Roger is very animated and clearly done with me. (There is no line of people behind me) I told him Roger you are the same person I spoke to when I had the dry nuggets. Roger - " I don't remember you mam". I said it doesn't matter because it was a while ago. Roger loudly says the same thing. I ask him if there is anyone else here like a manager and he said no. Roger " so do you want your meal "? OMG I am so irritated by his rude attitude and mannerisms. All I want is a professional person that listened to what I said. I said i had the problem the first time I was ever here and now this is the second and it's the same person "helping " me. I had to ask for the corporate number 3 times. What got me so mad was his response to the situation especially when I told him he was the person that sent me the card. His response of "you could have used it anywhere not just here ". I said I don't eat chick fil A that often and I was given a shrug of his shoulders. I told him that he was rude and he said he wasn't. He doesn't have any accountability for his own behavior and none for chick fil A that he represents. I plan on calling corporate tomorrow. Not for a gift card but to let them know and the store owner/manager how this Roger Shift Leader represents Chick fil A. Lastly I have worked in fast food places in the past and customer service for a long time. I know what is right and what is unacceptable in this industry. ROGER is a big NO for me and of course I will NEVER come here again. I would rather eat a protein bar at home then have an encounter with Roger again. I come here weekly so I'm sad to learn the owner of this location has turned to the dark side and created a policy against asking for an extra sauce with your order. Literally just wanted one and EVERY other location in Orange County will give you as many as you ask for and I couldn't even get ONE. I even offered to pay but the shift manager this morning refused to help me even just this once...little does she know I was just there the day before like I am every week and an employee gave me extra sauce so basically the employees will help you out, but the shift manager and owner don't care at all. I had to call the Chick fil A customer service line 4 times after going back with someone named Karen Marie from this location who has no value at all!!!! I used my rewards for this order and my receipt which I have provided multiple times reflects a discount was applied. See picture attached- They still charged me full prices on all my items and did not honor my rewards or acknowledge that my receipt reflected that discounts were being processed. I submitted a charge back with my bank and saw my receipt paperwork so this should be straight forward to resolve. A Complete waste of my time and will avoid this location for any future purchases. Again no value from anyone I worked with just the same spiel that this should have not happened and a repeated cycle of different agents stating this is not how we operate. When I arrived in line there were a few people ahead of me and they opened up an additional register immediately to take more customers. I had a deluxe spicy chicken sandwich and waffle fries. Both chicken and fries were hot and crispy but not in an overcooked fashion. I would definitely recommend people go to this location, however what is keeping this place from a 5 star review is how chaotic the drive thru was operated and how confusing and difficult it was logistically to both park and access the building. However they are very customer service oriented and have a feedback section next to where people enter the line for high visibility and I think candid input from consumers. read more
