My first experience with Tommy's was the original Beverly/Rampart location when I was an SC student. Throughout the years I have gone every now and then mostly to the one in Fountain Valley. Came to this location for the 80th anniversary special. Came by just a little after 2pm and waited about an hour. The food is greasy and heavy and has little nutritional value and that's just the way I like it!!! My fav chili burger ever. And they're pretty generous with the chili too, we got chili cheese fries to go and it was fricken stacked. A quiet location, but it's always clean and the employees are always friendly. Came in on national chili dog day at 7pm and the place was empty. Bad sign. It's NCDD, where my dogs at?! No one eating, no one working the counter. Another bad sign. On this special day you'd think it should be Santa's workshop! When I saw the company instagram posted a special: their $8.35 chili dog was $2.99 that day. Great tasting food and very messy. We walked in and no one was behind the counter or in the dining room. It was completely empty. Very awkward, but the male cashier came out after a few seconds, took our order and insisted we take our food to go because they were closing in 30 minutes. It looks small but you'd be surprised how filling it can be and its plenty of chili on there I order their chili cheese fries with onions. I add ketchup to it. If you haven't tried it with that, give it a try by adding the ketchup on the side and dip your fries mixed with chili and see if you like it. I did drive thru and it looked super empty inside and at the drive thru too. There was one car ahead of me but it must have been almost 10 mins waiting for them to get their food and then like 30 seconds to get my food. I'm not sure if they're just slow at getting your food or the person before me had a huge order. Over all, this location didn't seem busy on a Sunday afternoon.
