She was able to intercept the order and add my instructions. My burgers were freshly made and very flavorful. I love that they have pickled jalapeños and banana peppers available by the counter. My husband was craving Habit burger so we recently visited this location. He ordered the double char burger, of course. Since I've been eating much beef lately, decided to go with the bbq chicken salad instead. It looked so good in the picture on the menu. There was a bit of a wait but it was fine. We weren't in a hurry. The salad was surprisingly very good. Veggies were super fresh so was everything else in the salad. Hubby enjoyed his burger except for the mayo on the burger. I was able to score a free char burger with cheese with a purchase: and used this opportunity to purchase some onion rings. Hot tip: down load The app and score offers including bday ones. I feel like each location is different. Not going to lie, the quality of both the burger here And the onion rings compared to the one located in Dana Point and Mission Viejo is leaps and bounds better than both of these locations. Not a single person said hello or welcomed us in, they refused to come to the cash register so we would be forced to use the order kiask. This machine is slow, hard to customize simple requests for the main entree and not a single person offered help when we tried to get their attention. We walked out and won't be returning again. People should boycott places like this with bad service and are trying to push the restaurant industry to computer order only with no personal service. read more

We love the Habit. Burgers and fries are always great. They also have amazing sides, such as sweet potato fries, chicken nuggets, and fried green beans, which are a must-try. The Lake Forest location is hit or miss in terms of quality, unfortunately. The location is great, and the service is as well. It really depends on who you get to cook it. Went back because someone in my family likes the fries here. Thought I'd order my Habit "go to" when we used to go here pretty frequently (many years ago). A shy under $10 now. Opened the buns to check inside and as expected the chicken, much like the staff that served us, was lackluster . As you can see from the picture, less than 1/4" thick and probably 2oz (and I'm being generous). Disappointing. My daughter commented "are you remembering why we don't come here any more?". I usually put the Habit in my top tier of "fast food" burger places but this location is one of my least favorites. I came on a Saturday night and it was busy, especially with take out orders. Since there was a bit of a line I decided to order at one of the self-order kiosks. Why I did that, I don't know, because it always takes me twice as long than if I just order at the counter even if there is a line. I ordered a char burger (no onions or cheese) and a coffee milkshake. I took a seat after finding a clean one; many of the tables were dirty and some of the vinyl bench seating had greasy spots. It took about ten minutes to get my burger & shake. Since I ordered at the kiosk they texted me when my order was ready to pick up at the counter. The burger was excellent with that tasty open-flame char flavor and fresh lettuce, tomato, and pickles. The bun to meat ratio is perfect. The coffee milkshake was darn delicious; not the best but worthy of an B+ grade. I had no interaction with staff so can't comment on them other than they seemed to be hustling with the constant influx of customers. Overall I'll rate this location 3.5 rounded up. read more

Took my girls to Hanit today because they were craving hamburgers, and I'm so glad we did! The burgers here are made fresh -- a big step up from other places that just cook everything by the order number. My girls loved their meals and left with big smiles (always a win for parents!). The only small hiccup was that even though there are kiosks available, we needed some custom orders, so we had to wait a bit for someone to help at the register. That said, the staff was friendly once they came over, and the food was worth the wait. I keep forgetting how good the habit is. Price wise it's very close to in n out and they haven't really raised their prices as much as others which is a welcome relief to my wallet. I typically order online and pickup and their online ordering system is very nice and lets you know when your food is ready with a text. The staff here are nice and the inside is very clean. Their charburger and teriyaki burger are my main go-tos but I've had a couple of their sandwiches and they're pretty good too. The meat in their patties are flavorful and cooked well. read more

Corporate sent an email promotion, that said, only valid today. However, apparently was only valid 3 days prior on Tuesday. I didn't notice corporate's mistake till I drove through the rain. The employee Javier pointed it out, but saw I did actually receive it today. He went above and beyond to honor the promotion that corporate sent out erroneously. And made my trip worth it. It's common Sense customer service like this that so many businesses lack these days that Javier was bringing in spades. It's simple kindnesses like honoring corporates mistakes that build customer loyalty. This is why I will come back to this location. Plus the burger was delicious too! I LIKE this place - we my friend and I went and checked this burger place out this last week and we are so glad we did, we are so used to paying much more for a complete meal when going out and we were quite pleased to find we could order a burger and fries and a med drink all for the one price of $11 and change . We both ordered the #1burger w/o cheese and used the machine to order and we waited about 10 mins for our food as it was a little busy . Our food was nice and hot and cooked well . Didn't get any pics of my food this time but I did of the restaurant- I do recommend this place as we got our paying $23 for two complete dinners vs my sister and I spent $57 the night before ( burgers were bit better and two beers ) but if in a hurry and wanting to save a buck - we would have been happy here . Bonus - they have ice cream soft serve for under $2.00 and ice cream Sundays under $3.50 you can't get that at that nice restaurant for that price !! Honestly the new manager needs to go to a people skills class. She got our order complete wrong and then when we ask for a simple solution she threw the item out because she wouldn't compromise. I haven't had someone that claims to be a manage me be so inept and unwilling to make a simple compromise in what she did wrong. We were not asking for anything special either. He asked for my name. After not hearing my name called after 10 mins, I went to the front to see what's going on. There was my order just sitting there getting cold. I wasn't happy. I then asked for a side of ranch. She then looked at me lazily and said that's extra.
