this is a great location. staff is friendly with a smile and haply to provide refills. they have all of the sauces out for you so that's great. there is a small playground. ample parking in the lot. temperature is a little warm inside but not to the point of being uncomfortable. read more

The cob salad is pricey for having basically not much on it, even the lettuce is lacking. I always have to add my own toppings to it like raisins, walnuts, broccoli, more cherry tomatoes, cheddar cheese in order to make it into what should be expected of a salad at the price they charge. Everyone who knows me knows that Chick-fil-A is just ok to me. Today changed my mind! I wanted to dine in, but this parking lot was crazy! There were no open spots anywhere, so I hit the drive-thru. As others have mentioned, there were multiple employees positioned along the drive-thru to not only take your order but also deliver you your food and drinks. This system really expedited the drive-thru experience. I requested a sandwich without a bag to continue to reduce waste, and one of the girls handed me my sandwich with a napkin before I even got to the window! I've made this same request at other locations and fast food establishments, and I've always been told that a bag was required with your order. This Chick-fil-A is the best! To top it all off, my spicy chicken sandwich tasted better than it ever tasted elsewhere. It had delicious breading, juicy chicken, and actually tasted spicy! Went to chick fil a this morning and normally the service and orders are on point. This morning I decided to try something a little different and try the sausage patty since I normally have been just getting the breakfast filet. Trying to cut back on carbs. So I added the sausage patty to my order and didn't receive it. Was not till I got to work and noticed or I might of just turned around but after the gas it would cost to go back I figured I just took a loss on this. This is the only fast food restaurant that I know that can put together a fantastic southwest salad. Southwest salad is my favorite meal, it is amazing and I order them everywhere I go. None has even been as remotely delicious as the one from Chick Fil A. It is packed with everything delicious and the choice of lettuce is perfect. The right blend of cheese, corn and the chicken is spiced up perfectly. Comes with toasted pepitas too:) I pair it up with the frosted lemonade, you have to try that here, I highly recommend. Makes my mouth do the happy dance! The price is reasonable too;) I also highly recommend this location because the staff was very professional and it was very clean. Chang the manager. I went there today May 26, 2025 and the whole staff and manager were very lackadaisical in operations of this store. Drive thru was very slow. So I backed out, went inside. Same issue. I asked for the manager. He was told by staff that I needed to discuss the matter with him. He ignored my request, went the other direction. He later came back and asked if he could help me. I explained that this was THE SLOWEST CHICK FIL A I have ever been in. Need to either retrain or get better staff. I told him the that starts with you. You have to lead and make sure operations are running smoothly. He really did not want to hear what I had to say and was trying to get away before he said, do you want a coupon? I told him no. I'm not here to receive charity. I just would like to see this franchise run efficiently as it used to. I've been coming to this restaurant for a very long time. Like 10 years, and this was the worst I've ever seen it. So I let him know, I would be contacting the franchise owner and pretty much got oh well and walked away. If this is the management this operation Is happy with and believe it's going to be a good business for them later? With other businesses opening up soon, I think there needs to be an adjustment made sooner than later starting with management staff. Sorry for the bad review. While this location has been in place for quite some time now, I didn't begin frequenting it until about 2 years ago when it became my kid's favorite place to eat. Prior to this, the only CFA I recall nearby was inside the Cerritos mall back in the 80's when they would hand out nugget samples on a toothpick. Anyway... We love having this location close by! In my experience, the staff is always friendly & attentive, and the food is always done in a timely manner. While we've never dined in and mostly use the app to order food to go, the inside always looks clean & organized. Yes, the drive thru line can be very long at times (hence using their mobile app for to go orders), but to me that's a sign that they're doing something right; people love the food! I do wish they still did curbside service (that helped greatly with not having to get a toddler out of & back in the car for just a couple of minutes), but it's not a dealbreaker or star-reducer. I like eating at Chick-fil-A, and have frequented many locations throughout southern California. All stores may be created equal, but not all are run well. This particular location in Long Beach struck a nerve with me. I stopped by to get a quick chicken sandwich while I was visiting friends throughout the region. I was hoping to get the same great experience I've had from the locations in Torrance and Hollywood. That was wishful thinking. I came in and ordered a chicken delux sandwich, with fries and a drink. The cashier informed me that I had to get it lettuce-wrapped, as they ran out of bread for that sandwich. I ended up ordering a spicy chicken sandwich instead. When I got the first sandwich, I noticed there was a dark spot on the bread. This was weird, and I took up the issue with the manager. She got me a different sandwich, which had an even bigger dark spot. At this point, I just asked for a refund for the sandwich. While the workers here were nice about everything, the food and service was sub-par. I don't know if this place was having a bad day, or if this is the standard for this location. But I won't be coming back here again, and I hope they up their game. read more

In my opinion, It is ridiculous to write a review of fast food restaurant on Yelp, but I am writing it, because this location of Chick-fil-A is worst. The employees of this restaurant seriously need to pay attention when they are taking orders from the customers. Today, I ordered Cobb Salad with regular ranch dressing, and a large cup of Coke Zero. I also checked my order with a lady who took my order at drive-thru, but when I received my order, none of them were correct. They gave me avocado-lime ranch dressing, and medium size coke zero instead of what I have ordered. I told employee who was handing out customers' orders at drive-thru that I got wrong order, then she irresponsibly responded that is the way she charged it. They never tried to correct their mistakes. They also forgot to put plastic fork too, so I had to use my fork at home. This incident reminded me that they do not care about any customer service. The drive-thru of this restaurant is terrible. There were so many vehicles waiting in line, but the restaurant did not take any extra action to speed up the process. There is a In-N-Out Restaurant right next to it, and I could see their drive-thru line was much longer than here, but the process was a lot faster. Today, it took me almost 40 minutes to get my food. I love Chick-Fill-A, and I will still make a visit whenever I want to eat their food, but I will go to different locations. read more

As the oldest Chick-fil-A in Long Beach, this location has been serving the community with the same friendly and prompt service you'd find at any other Chick-fil-A restaurant. The staff always seem to whittle down a long line at the registers with smiles and enthusiasm. The food is thoroughly cooked and delicious, and the restaurant overall is clean and well-stocked (including the restroom). read more

Went with the kids for breakfast this morning the drive through line was short but ended up being almost a 20mins wait. We ordered an 8ct Mel large and a chicken biscuit meal. When at the window I paid cash there was a bit a delay I guess they had to check the bill to make sure it was real lol we received our order went home and it was missing the hash browns that come a with the chicken biscuit meal. I called to inform them of the missing item and was interrogated as if I wasn't his best about the missing item. As we walked up to the restaurant my wife saw the chicken tortilla soup sign and wanted it for dinner. Once inside, there was more signs on the window, and each check stand had chicken tortilla signs too! Also a huge marque sign on the menu board. First thing I order, small chicken tortilla soup. I get the response, sorry we do not serve that anymore. I asked since when?? The server said "oh for some time now...." if this is the case, why are you marketing something you do not serve? One sign I get it, maybe missed it. But multiple signs and window signs all over restaurant, you better have the soup or take them down. Otherwise, food was great! read more

This was my first time checking out this place. My daughter suggested it so I figured midas well. She ordered the spicy chicken sandwich meal. It was not much more spectacular than the other fast food places although I did enjoy the waffle fries. Another item we ordered was the grilled chicken bites. It was seasoned pretty good although what was a disappointment being we thought it was a chicken patty they cut into pieces. To me, the price you pay for that ala carte, wasn't worth it. The plus side of this place was they had offered a multitude of flavor choices for dipping sauces you can pick on your own. read more

The window workers are so busy having their personal conversations and it's hard to get their attention when something is missing or wrong with the order. This specific location has such a special in my heart as it's the oldest Long Beach ChickFila. Ever since my kid grew teeth big enough for solids, we have been coming here. I have spent hundreds of ChickFila Friday's here with my daughters, best friends, sister, boyfriend etc. My kids are teen and preteens now! Been a customer here for over a decade. Prepandemic, Christmas and craft nights used to be hosted here. There's lots of seating and the play place is in perfect view from most tables. We moved out of Long Beach recently so we visit closer locations but none of them compare to John Howards shop. I have never even met him and I always feel taken care of, even now not being a regular customer, he ALWAYS sends me freebies in the app. Our local ones never sends anything. This one star review is NOT Covid related. This one star review is because I have finally had my last visit to this location. We have had so many problems with this specific spot since 2011. Maybe I should have taken the hint sooner, but I'm a pretty forgiving person. I've dealt with: Wrong orders, 45 minute wait for food, stolen shoes from the play area(maybe not their fault, but they didn't even care it happened), cold food, EVERY other nearby chick fil a has the tasty cube ice except this one, and they became sauce nazis way before the pandemic hit. Despite all of that, I have never reviewed them or stopped visiting if it was the convenient stop. My last visit was awful. I received TWO rotten frosted lemonades. Rotten. They did little resolve my issue. Tried to tell me that the dates on the food were fine, but agreed my shake smelled spoiled. They offered me nothing but a refund, which I had to drive back across town and bring in the rotten food to get. No little token of apology. I emailed corporate because I felt that crossed a line. They are serving rotten food and denying it. Ew. I was promised a phone call from management wishing 1-2 days. Instead, all I received was a limited time coupon for ONE free frosted lemonade. Really? No phone call? No common courtesy to talk with a customer that has given you more than your fair share of chances?? I spoke with a few friends that work at other locations and they said management at the Long Beach Town Center location is awful and many of their employees quit that store due to not being given their required breaks and withholding other benefits from them. Don't come to this location. I was in drive thru for 40 minutes and the two girls taking orders ignored my car in line and took the order in front and behind my car. I tried to place order at the speaker box because they skipped me and I got no response. Once I got to the window I explained the situation and no one apologized or offered some kind of complimentary item, instead I was met with a blank stare and a "oh. What do you want?" At that point I was frustrated and upset to have wasted my time. I work in customer service and it is ridiculous to have skipped a car AND not even acknowledge their mistake.
