Spent $38 dollars for meals and delivery for 2 people including tip. Only to get NO DINNER FOR MYSELF BECAUSE SOME NITWIT COULDN'T MAKE A DAMN SANDWICH. Went to Chick-fil-A in Matthews after receiving a reward in the Chick-fil-A App. I saw incredible pictures of the new pimento chicken sandwich. It looked delicious so I ordered two sandwiches in the restaurant. The service was very good and the guy at the counter helped me scan my app the right way. I received the order quickly and was looking forward to the new sandwiches. Unfortunately, it turned out to be an awful experience. The sandwiches I received look terrible and nothing like the delicious pictures that are advertised. The sandwiches are served with substantially less pimento cheese and the pickles/jalapeños were hardly noticeable. Honestly, looking at my picture, you can't tell there is any cheese on the chicken sandwich without digging in. I didn't eat it. I feel this was very disappointing and somewhat of a scam. You can't advertise a sandwich looking like that and serve something completely different. I lost the reward on this and had to purchase another meal. Chick fil a-there has to be a better way. I have seen these multiple line/order from the iPad employee on the road and it doesn't seem to work anywhere! I continue to see people order, not know what they want, take forever and then air even more Time searching for their method of payment. I'm not sure this new method is better than the old fashioned order from the big menu, pay at next window and grab your food at next. Whatever it is, this is not working. I understand that some places have bad days, Chick-fil-A included. It just seems like this place needs a ground up staff restructure. I had ordered a "10-count chicken mini"and a "large tea" in the drive thru. When I pulled up to the window the person who took my order must've mistaken what I had said for a "sausage egg and cheese biscuit" because that's what the blonde chick at the window told me I had ordered. I told her that the order she quoted was wrong repaid. What really bothered me about this encounter was that they made me pull foreword to the waiting spot for backorders where I waited for 30 minutes. I actually counted 30 minutes for a 10 count mini and a tea. I ended up flagging down an associate bringing out an order for somebody who wasn't even in line when I had originally pulled up to the window. The associate was kind and simply asked what I had ordered and emerged a few minutes later with my order. A few weeks later I had the same 10 count mini order and a large tea. I pulled up to the window, same blond chick told me that I had ordered a 4 count, I corrected her and repaid for the order. I waited in the curb spot for about 5 minutes and I received my order. Now a day ago I had ordered the same 10 count mini, a tea, a coffee, and a bacon egg cheese biscuit. I pull up to the window and the blond chick tells me that they're cooking biscuits, and it'll be 8 minutes. I tell her that I can wait, but she insists that I put it on a bun or an english muffin. I said "english muffin" twice, and she spins around while saying "ok so you want it on a bun", moments later the bag is thrusted into my car window. I then accepted that there was really no point in wasting anymore time with this establishment. I go home and gave my little brother his bacon egg and cheese bun, the dude tells me it tastes awful, so I didn't dare to take a bite myself. Needless to say this was my last visit to this particular chick-fil-a. So far about 3-4 of every 7 visits have had one issue or another. read more

I went at 4:55 to get a 12 count meal and a chicken sandwich. Pulled up to the window after ordering and paying and the girl taking my order, her name was Emma, told me it didn't go through and to do it again. So I gave her my card again. I checked my bag quickly because there was a line and I left. Keep in mind I was passing by and grabbed food to take home (I live In south end). I just got home... tell me why my sandwich isn't in the bag. I've called multiple times and no one has responded. I really would either like my money back from the sandwich or something. I even have the receipt !! Even if it's busy please Make sure ur giving people the right orders and the things they asked for :/ because I'm not about to drive like 30 minutes back to Matthews for this. The food is hit or miss but it's really just the length of time required to be here that is just too much. If you order on the app make sure they give you all your sauces it seems like they almost purposely give you less than you ordered which is very frustrating when one of the main perks of upgrading to a large fry is getting the extra sauce. The service was very slow I waited almost 30 minutes for my carry out order and went inside. Once my food arrived I had to run to work and had no time to check my food. I went to open my sandwich to find a fully charred bun outside of my chicken. When your chicken is perfectly golden wrapped around s burnt bun it can't be a great sandwich. Location is right off highway 74 and is pretty popular. There is parking and some stores and hotels within walking distance. I have been there several times on different days and times and and they will have two lines circling the place. The drive through is insane. FYI the inside is just as crowded. Since it's in a good location near highway 485 and 74 it's a busy place. The staff can be nice but they can be talkative with each other and ignore you a bit. It's similar to the other chick fil a chains. The place is clean and the food is good. Enjoy! read more

Usually you receive outstanding customer service , but this location lacks smiles, customer satisfaction must not have been in their training guide. The manager was worthless too.
