The only type I tried was the fruity kind. As far as sides, once I had the grape salad, which is good and the broccoli salad, which is fantastic and today I had pimento cheese, which was okay. You also can choose whatever bread you want. I always choose croissants. Loved it all. My husband doesn't like chicken salad, so he has the turkey club. He says it is great. Then he had potato soup which was full of melted cheese and tasted great. They offer a choice of three different soups according to the day of the week. I had the most unpleasant experience here. Ended up not even ordering food. It was decently busy but we were in line with one other family behind us. A worker yelled at us that we weren't in the right spot. Turned out it was a cashier available. So the family behind us listened to her and stood behind us. Then proceeded to yell at them to go back to where we were standing. Then told us as move from where we were standing. Just acting like we have no social awareness. We also didn't even have a opportunity to really even look at the menu before being forced to order. This review is overdue. I used Uber Eats and ordered lunch from this location on Friday, 03-10-23, but it served as dinner too on a long day. I ordered The Chick, which was a scoop of Jalapeño Holly with a side of grape salad, a small Olivia's Old South, a chocolate marshmallow crispy bar, and a slice of key lime pie. Everything was good. I hadn't had the grape salad in years, & it was as great as I'd remembered. I was using a coupon with Uber Eats & I really got a good bang for my buck with this order. We went at lunchtime and it was packed! It's hard to get photos because people were sitting at all the tables. They move the line along quickly. You walk up to the counter,place your order. You grab your drink and find a soy to sit and wait until your good is brought to you. They are pretty quick with getting the food out. While out running errands in the area, and having loved my sandwich at another Chicken Salad Chick location, there was no way I was going anywhere else. We arrived during lunch hours and was happy to see the staff and restaurant was following Covid guidelines, masks required and tables were closed off, only allowing limited seating inside, but they have several tables, also social distanced, outside. I ordered the Jalapeño Chicken Salad with fruit and my friend ordered the Fruity, I think that is the name with the broccoli salad. Each dish comes with a pickle and a cookie, yeah! We loved both sandwiches and I can say I am not a huge Chicken Salad or Tuna Salad fan, but they make it so right. It is all about the Chicken and fillings and not mayo based, etc. Just the right amount. The staff was so accommodating, asking customers if they needed anything, cleaning tables to allow patrons to sit as soon as possible. If I am in the area around lunch this will be my go to stop. We love Chicken Salad Chick! It is our go to when we want a lighter dinner option. My husband enjoys the Cranberry Kelli on wheatberry bread with lettuce and tomato added. I vary my order, but tonight chose a Fancy Nancy on a croissant. We love soup and theirs do not disappoint. Tonight we had the broccoli cheddar and the chicken and dumplings. The food was passable. The small cup of loaded baked potato soup was too salty and tasted kind of like it might've come from Sysco food or US foods. Typical chain restaurant fare. The chicken salad was good, but the two items came to $17 (w/o tip). Compared to other chicken joints (eg. Chick-Fil-A) it just was too much to pay. Service was acceptable. Been eating chicken salad all my life; my own recipe has always been best - until I found CSC. I first had the Carol and realized I'd found the perfect chicken salad. I haven't tried any others because the Carol is the pinnacle of chicken salad goodness. But order the broccoli salad as a side, it is also perfect. The only thing I think is a fail is the cookie. I don't think it has much flavor; I always give those back. BTW, if you're thinking of making your own version of the Carol, you're going to be disappointed in the online copycat, it's not good and not even close to CSC Carol. They realized mistake and redid the order, but the manager speaks before she thinks and came to my table saying they can only give me what I ordered. Ummm duh! Order comes to me again...something said check it. I do and lo and behold order still wrong. Nasty acting manager...you ordered It like this. NO I DIDNT. She checks the ticket with the cashier over her should and surely enough, the ticket matched what I ordered. The cashier did it right and I of course ordered my order right! (Make me ordering my order wrong make sense) Your staff in the back ain't reading tickets, dropping things thinking it's a joke, gossiping...just a playground for foolishness. Instead of talking to them, apologizing, offering to fix things...she in my face. She even got smart when I asked for my full refund saying 'do you want me to refund you for the Mac n cheese you ate too?' When I tell you I've NEVER seen a manager talk to a customer this way. I hadn't eaten the mac n cheese and her cashier had just brought me a lid for the container, but it was more important for her to have a smart mouth than to actually manage. Not today. We received a coupon in the mail otherwise, I don't know that I would go to a Chicken Salad restaurant (#MarketingWorked). I will say, I enjoyed it enough to go back if someone wanted to however, I would not initiate the trip - just not my cup of salad (I couldn't resist). I gave three stars because the food was decent, service was great and the place was clean and nicely decorated with local photos. I was invited to their soft opening. It's very bright and inviting. Everyone is so perky right now. They a large selection of different stylea of chicken salad. So I decided to try to be a little healthy and I got the salad with the salad that was made with eggs. They all have different names. It was good. But need a bit of S&P. I liked the tea as it wasn't overly sweet. The only bad was that they serve Coke and not Pepsi, which is much better. Will I return? Most definitely. So come and give a try. I've loved chicken salad chick ever since I came across it a few months ago from working across the street from the one on Pineville-Matthews road. The one in Matthews so far has been amazing! I usually get egg salad or Olivia's old south and occasionally fancy Nancy. All three are fantastic. The small cookies that come in the quick chick are so yummy! I ordered the Chicken Salad w/Cranberry & Almonds on a croissant and the side was the Grape Salad. It was all prefect! The chicken salad was not overly sauced and just the right amount of cranberry & almonds to get the blended taste. The grape salad was really good! I was a little concerned about the word "cream" in the description, but again, it was perfectly balanced and not overly creamy. Everything is a good portion.
