We've tried a variety of flavors over the years and loved every single one but the secret spicy sauce is our absolute favorite. 10/10 on the food. Staff are always extremely friendly and welcoming. We were in the area, so we stopped in to try their chicken...and well, I've gotta be honest. First of all, the place was almost inhospitable in its stark-white ambiance, with just a few tables squeezed in together. Our table wasn't even clean, so I had to clean it myself. I felt as if I was eating in a hospital. I've seen other bb.q locations in other cities, and this has to be the smallest...and worst in terms of ambiance. The counter service was friendly and attentive...no issues there. We ordered 3 different types of chicken in easier-to-eat boneless versions...Golden Original, Honey Garlic and Gangnam. We also added Fries, Fried Dumplings and Rose Tteokbokki. Well, the Honey Garlic was absolutely delish (and crispy), and we all liked that the best. Gangnam was really good too, but not as crispy...and I didn't like the Golden Original at all. It was only barely crispy, which I found surprising. Also, it was dark meat chicken....quality chicken, but I'm just not a fan of the taste. I didn't try the Fries, but they were supposedly spicy...and they seemed to enjoy it. The Fried Dumplings were undercooked, so not that great to me. If they cooked it longer, they would have been crispier, and better. Rose Tteokbokki was really good...but I found the Rice Cakes were cut too big...so it was a bit hard to eat. Overall, the foods were really good on the most part (but some misses - Golden Original and Fried Dumplings)...but at the same time, disappointing. Why? Everything was SO overpriced, I just expected better. I mean, 8 pieces of chicken for 16 bucks?!? Also, the chicken wasn't all that crispy...not even half as crispy as the double-fried Bonchon's. Also, everything was delivered in these to-go boxes, not even on paper plates either. I really didn't get this part. I told them we were eating in...yet we got everything in these To-Go boxes anyway. They had plenty of paper plates...so why the boxes?? With all these chunky boxes and paper plates that we requested, I found the entire eating situation very messy and difficult. Been to Seoul, South Korea and had Korean Fried Chicken there. This is without a doubt the closest you will get to the authentic thing. Including the small shop feel. I knew when we walked in an ordered and they told us it would be about 20 minutes, we were already off to a great start. It meant it was going to be made fresh. Quick lunch before a Dr. appointment. I stopped in not knowing that it was Korean BBQ. I enjoy Korean BBQ because of the flavors and crispness Of the chicken. I had no idea what cheesling fires were and after asking the server about it, I decided to give them a try. I also got the Galbi boneless chicken which i enjoyed. It came with a small cup of Dikon which is definitely an acquired taste. Overall the service was friendly the restaurant was very bright and clean. Hands down best fried chicken in Charlotte!!! Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. The breading is light but flavorful and you can definitely hear the crunch. There are different sauce to choose from but my family enjoy just the plain original kind, the spicy original. I recommend getting the wings instead of the whole chicken. Get yourself some ddeok bukki as well to go with the chicken. There is seating inside and outside. The shop is small so not a lot of space but if you can grab a table, I recommend dining in since the chicken is best fresh. The folks who work there are nice and polite. These wings had a crispy batter on them that was still good 35 minutes after I picked them up. They have a sweet honey flavor with a kick of garlic that is like a perfect balance of flavors. The drive here was 35 minutes and worth every bit. The kimchi fried rice was ok. As it was lacking big flavors. I also enjoyed the spicy wings which was coated well and had a nice little kick. Overall the chicken is really good skip the Kim chi fried rice and order you some honey garlic wings. The wings are pricey compared to other spots. Almost 2 dollars for half a wing. A solid kfc (korean fried chicken) place with a variety of fun tteokbokis (seasoned rice cakes). I definitely recommend coming as a group because you can try out more flavors of fried chicken. Whenever I meet up with a friend, we always go here :) Service is a bit slow, but the chicken is made-to-order, so who can blame them! Overall, the aesthetic is clean and the oil smell is not strong enough to be off-putting. We got boneless gangjeon and gangnam style: both were well seasoned and well fried! The batter could have been a little crispier and lighter like Bonchon's but did nothing to detract from the experience. Gangjeon tasted like sweet soy sauce and gangnam was soy sauce, black pepper, and jalapeño. Gangnam definitely lives up to its name for its luxurious flavor! For tteokboki, we got the rosé treokboki, which is regular red pepper sauce with cream and cheese, and the mala tteokboki. Rosé was on the milder side and great for anyone who can't handle spice. Mala was SO SPICY! I was crying and blowing my nose, but I couldn't stop eating because it was SO GOOD (any other spice-lovers relate?) Recommend getting a coke to round it off! Upon arrival we were greeted. The establishment provides quick pick up or small party dine in. The menu is simple. You have a choice of boneless or bone in wings and some side dish items. There are a good variety of flavor profiles to choose from. On this visit we tried the Galbi Spicy and Original Spicy bone in wings. We also ordered a side of Fried pork Dumplings (8). Take note the wing piece increments consist of 8, 16, or 24 and you can only get 1 flavor per set. To get double flavors we ordered two 8 piece wings. The order also included a small cup of pickled white radish which were tasty and perfect for cooling the heat of the wings. Loved the crispy yet tender wings. They were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The dumplings were good as well. I would have liked to seen a tasty sauce for dipping the dumplings but I just ended up making my own quickly once home with chilies sauce and soy sauce. Total bill for what we ordered was $43. This is a bit pricey for 16 wings and dumplings but we were pleased with the taste of the entire meal and will definitely visit again. read more

My cousin and her boyfriend (regulars) ordered the 16pc Honey Garlic Wings. (Protip: Soy Garlic is a great choice anywhere, but we think they nailed the Honey Garlic marinade here.) We also ordered the Sweet Potato fries, an 8pc Spicy Original, and an 8pc Gangjeong entree. No complaints, so good. I love half and half orders. The customer service here is just as phenomenal as the food itself. The guy ringing up our order was hilarious and welcoming -- stellar business partner, as we found out -- and he still went to personally check on every table. *Every* table. The other employee, a young lady, was very patient and kind! Listen to me very carefully: I've been waiting my entire life to eat chicken like this. The Honey Garlic Wings are perfect and tender and CRISPY, with a honeyed bite that actually doesn't taste overpowering after five minutes (Sometimes wings are *too* marinated, better eaten alongside a bowl of white rice).
