This location is the closest one to us (vs. the one by Capital City Mall) and hence the one we frequent. It's off Carlisle Pike so traffic is never easy. The drive-thru seems always crazy. For this reason we always prefer parking the car, even for carry-outs. I always order the spicy chicken sandwich without the pickle, and add the Sweet & Spicy Sriracha sauce for additional taste and moist. It's always consistent so I can confidently order when I feel the urge for a Chick-fil-A. Manager never skimps but generously gives out offers from time to time. The nearby Dave's Hot Chicken is a new competitor that offers stronger spiced fried chicken "sliders" which is slightly bigger but also $1.50 more. So there you have it, go for Chick-fil-A except on Sundays when it closes :) read more

I see that I had left a 2 star review back in May 2019. Well I am happy to say this place has become 5 stars. Kudos to Mgmt. And staff, it is such a joy to see a well running drive thru system. Friendly, efficient, hustling young people, looking like they are having fun. You can tell they thought about this even to having cup holders on the post so employees can have their drinks near by. The summer of 2022 I am going to different places and trying chicken sandwiches. I got the Chicken Deluxe with cheese and bacon and it was moist, and delicious. The combo of lettuce, tomato, bacon, pickles, cheese on a toasted bun was perfect. The waffle fries were perfectly salted and in honor of the strawberry moon, I had a thick Strawberry shake. Great! Charged $12.55 plus another .40 for Grilled Chicken Club Meal. Requested avocado lime ranch dressing with sandwich. Received dry sandwich with broken, crumbled bun and zero sauce/dressing. Called store and was initially told by employee who answered phone that she could replace the meal; she would just have to check with her manager. Employee then stated that her manager had decided the meal could not be replaced since "it had been eaten." I asked to speak with the employee's manager. Mikayla picked up and stated that she was "the night operator" and that the reason the meal or sandwich could not be replaced was that Chick-fil-A does not replace meals "for dressing," even though I had specifically ordered dressing/sauce. I explained that I live 20 minutes away, that it was 8:30 pm and my entire family was starving by the time the order arrived home. OF COURSE, I ate the sandwich DRY, but it was AWFUL! And clearly we had ordered dressing as stated on the receipt! And for $12.95 for a single meal, I expected Chick-fil-A to honor the order as it was placed. I then requested the corporate phone #. Mikayla stated that she would have to "look it up," and put me on hold. When she came back on the line, she spoke in an aggressive tone and stated that no customer is ever "due dressing" on a Chick-fil-A sandwich. She then slammed the phone down, without ever giving me the corporate number! I re-dialed the number and reached Mikayla again. I explained that since she had chosen to hang up on me and since she has refused to provide me with the corporate number, I now believed that I needed to speak with the store manager. Mikayla then alleged that I had been "disrespectful," since the first employee who had initially answered the phone, had allegedly handed Mikayla the phone "with tears in her eyes." Wow! Now Mikayla is spinning tall tales?! The drama from this lady just keeps getting more intense! Bottom line: A member of my family used to work at this location. No one at this location would EVER have been permitted to treat a customer in this manner! For a $12.95 meal, at a minimum, they would have offered to replace the sandwich. I hope to speak with the store manager and/or the corporate office about the current night operator's behavior, but after this experience, I'm pretty sure we won't be visiting this Chick-fil-A again, anytime soon! read more

Not one lick of mayo or any other condiment, not one shred of lettuce or tomato. What the heck?! I'm starting to think every Chick-fil-A has the same type of people working at all of its restaurants in the area. All of the workers are very cheerful and positive and the establishment is very clean. I typically order chicken nuggets but today I tried the barbecue bacon sandwich - it was delicious! The Polynesian dipping sauce is my favorite and I wish they sold it in the supermarket. As for Chick-fil-A, I wish there was one of these closer me. Free refills and good food. You can't beat it! I have been eating chick fil a food since high school when an older friend had a franchise at the east mall in Harrisburg. I moved to York when I returned to PA from Germany in the mid 90's and the West Manchester location was the next one I frequented. I stopped at a Chick Fil A east of Pittsburgh on the way back from West Virginia and a visit to the Burgh. When I heard Chick fil A was coming to Mechanicsburg I was happy and also heard they were giving away food for the Grand Opening. I avoid lines so I did not partake, but did decide to go back later for a combo. The first experience did not impress me and I wasn't sure I would be back - the food was ok, not great and the service just borderline. I was hungry after a trip to Wegman's recently so I decided to give them another shot. I also had seen the recent commercial about the featured menu item: the spicy chicken sandwich which piqued my interest. I pulled in drove around the drive thru and took a second to order after snapping a few exterior pics. The menu is easy to read and I was given ample time to decide. I added a golden wheat bun to my sandwich and substituted american cheese for the pepperjack. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of spice and heat the sandwich packed -it actually warmed my mouth on the first couple bites. I got waffle fries which were salted perfectly and I was satisfied when I was finished so the portion was well sized. They had tasty lettuce and tomato on the sandwich and the meat was tender and juicy. I will come back since the drive thru attendant was very friendly and the service was above average for a quick service restaurant. read more

Nowhere does it state that they will cancel the order if you arrive after breakfast ends. After driving over 30 mins and having 2 young kids hungry & crying, they said they wouldn't do anything about it but "help us place a new one." We were even charged. This chain seems to be over extending too quickly and at the point of surviving off of its name now rather than service, quality and cleanliness. Attempted to get a meal here twice in a month. Waited way too long to order, pay, get my meal! My order was wrong both times after all that waiting. The first time we didn't notice there were items missing until we got home. The second time we wised up and checked the whole order before pulling away, and again one item missing and one item we didn't order! We had to ask for napkins too. Some food items were cold and most items were tasteless, aside from being very salty. It's just generally very unhealthy and not worth the money. That night I started not feeling well and wasn't sure if it was from their food or not. Only gave it two stars as the staff was generally attempting to work hard ( They looked like they were actually over worked. I felt bad for them rushing and being under lots of pressure for little pay. It doesn't look like a place I'd want my kids working at to be treated this way). Overall I like Chick-fil-A and visit alone or with the family at least once a week. Their great selling point for me has been quality of food (although they usually forget my condiments) and, the courteous service. Today, 03/25/2021 I visited our usual silver Spring store in Mechanicsburg. There were three cars in front of me. While the other line kept moving my line stood still because the entire staff started coming out one at a time to greet the occupants of the car in front of me. 15 minutes + later finally we started moving. I placed my order and ended up the second card behind the "mystery" car. At the pick up windows the store staff started chatting and shouting with Glee again while the others cars were waiting. While I was still the third car I heard my name and was passed my bag. I checked my name - it was correct. No sense waiting for the front car to move so, I carefully drove out of the line and parked to eat. As hungry as I was, I opened the bag and found an entirely WRONG order. I walked back in the store and asked for a supervisor- a blond haired man came over. I told him about the mistake. He did not even look at me - he simply grabbed my bag and took it over to the prep area. Then someone else brought me the back the bag - again with missing condiments, and fork. I took the bag - walked to my car - but I was so disappointed at their nonchalant response that I just walked back in and asked for a refund. My family and I choose to come to Chick-fil-A for obvious reasons but today's experience totally blemished all I had though of Chick-fil-A. Please FOCUS on the SERVICE first. This is hands down one of the best fast food experiences I've ever had. Went for lunch around noon on a busy summer Friday. There was a decent line to order but it moved very quickly as they had every register open. Despite the huge lunch rush in the restaurant and at the drive thru, they operated quickly and efficiently. Super quick and friendly service! Our food was delivered to our table about 30 seconds after we sat down, no more than 2 minutes after we had ordered. Also in the 20 minutes we were sitting and eating, two separate staff members came around to all the tables and asked if everything was okay and if they could bring us a drink refill!! The food was delicious and my Chicken deluxe sandwich actually looked like the picture on the menu board. Fresh lettuce and tomato slides, crispy fried chicken and a perfectly steamed bun. The waffles fries were crispy and flavorful and my sweet tea was delicious. Definitely recommend this location. I never thought I'd be saying this about a Chick fil A, but I had really rude service! I walked in to get my food that I ordered online. After about 3 minutes with no acknowledgement whatsoever and the only person in line at the pickup, an elderly female employee belts out my husband's name ( which I wasn't aware the app was under) and walks towards me. No hello, no greeting just my husband's name, not mine, so I hesitated and wanted to make make sure I wasn't getting someone else's order. She hastily put the bag and drink on the table and pointed to the label on the beverage and said it's right there and walked away. I peeked in the bag and realized it was the right order, but I forgot to order sauces. Stood there and was ignored until I had to flag down an employee who happened to be walking by to ask for some sauce. I know we're in a pandemic and the service industry is under a lot of stress keeping their businesses compliant, but there's no excuse to be rude. I was traveling to Mechanicsburg this morning to get my car serviced and stopped afterwards for an early lunch. I guess I'm just spoiled by the stellar service of my usual CFA in East York. They offer board games to enjoy while you eat, it's pretty clean and got damn...they have one of the best milkshakes in town! 8/28/08, 9pm. Nice, clean interior, friendly service. However, I seemed to pick the only thing that wasn't sitting under the heat lamps, their original chicken sandwich. I waited for probably 5-7 minutes for my food. Holy hell, what an overpriced disaster. It was a fried chicken patty on a grocery store hamburger roll with lettuce and some sandy, pinkish hothouse tomatoes. Tomatoes are in season right now, people. Why would you serve that hothouse crap? And while I'm at it, who on Earth puts pickles on a chicken sandwich? $5+change for the "deluxe combo", which came with a drink and some over-salted waffle fries. I love their chicken salad sandwiches and my kids love the nuggets and even though they have referred to the toys in their meals as "lame" or "boring" they do enjoy the play area.
