I love this Chic Fil A!!! There are definite differences between the various locations around the city. Scott and his team at this store are the most consistent at getting things right every time. All things right! As a concept they do a great job of keeping a customer centric environment at pretty much any location that you visit. You'll hear "My Pleasure" as opposed to any other phrase when you tell them "Thank You". It's the kind of thing that is slight but really takes a ton of work from upper management to make sure it remains part of the culture. Claps for that! Like I said the get it right here. Dont get me wrong, i love chickfila, but the customer service at this specific chickfila is absolutley tragic. This is the only chickfila I have ever had problems with. I sit sitting in drive through waiting on the young lady to come up to me after I had been waiting a minute, then a couple cars pull up and they serve them first evem thl I have been sitting there for a minute. The young lady running drive through outside does not know how to do her job. My mom and I recently visited Chick-fil-A at 4916 Poplar Ave, Memphis, TN 38117. Previous to this visit, we used Popeye's just west of here. Popeye's has slaw. Chick-fil-A does not. Each visit to Popeye's took much time in line and the servers were not particularly amiable. Popeye's actually left my slaw order out of the bag last visit. ‍ We like slaw BUT we can no longer stand Popeye's treatment. Chick-fil-A, we are BACK! Our first visit back was beautiful! The line looked huge BUT it moved expeditiously. At the window, I asked the server if everything was in the bag. She said yes! I said that is not true at Popeye's. She said, "This is not Popeye's!" So sad to say I had a horrible experience at my neighborhood's Chik Fil A. I ordered two meals and a milkshake from a so called manager by the name of Sara. After I paid and she filled by drinks she said next and before the next customer could approach, I said hold on I forgot a cookie (its important to mention it would have taken her 30 secs or less to ring me up a chocolate chip cookie and the person behind me hadnt even approached the counter yet. Instead she made me go to the back of the line which was 7 deep. So there I am standing in line again behind 7 people holding 2 bags and a drink holder with three drinks from my first order. Anyways after 8 minutes of waiting in line again, I tell the back house manager who walks by what happemed and he said he's on it. By that point I was next and said the backhouse guy got me and I told him what happened because it's terrible customer service. She said in a sarcastic tone, im his boss. I say I come in here every other day for breakfast and will tell the GM of my terrible experience. She said there'svnobody higher the her so basically nonverbal was trying to say there's nothing u can do. When I informed her how terrible of a customer experience she had given me she acted like she could care less and just walked away. She could have at least alologized or given me a discount on my cookies or something to show she cared even the least bit. Im a nonconfrontational guy but when someone treats me badly at my daily establishment and then claims there's no one to complain to bc she's the boss. I asked to speak to her gm and she said she's the highest which I know she isnt the operator/gm. She then argued with me that she is the GM.In my 20 devoted years as a Chik Fil A fanatic, ive never experienced a manager treat me with so little concern or care. Amazing grace, I see this place where customers are kings and employees are queens. I love their invention that makes tons of customer retention. I always wonder why people write reviews on fast food...and yet here I am, writing a review on fast food. I guess I can justify it with the fact that this is the only fast food I'll eat. Period. Ok ok, yes, when I'm really really drunk you **might** find me at a Taco Bell at 2 in the morning, but that is just peer pressure. Oh...and there was that one time in Gulfport for a horse show when I went on a Backyard Burger kick...but I digress, Chick-fil-A is the only fast food I eat regularly. Wow, that was just an epiphany...I guess I do eat it quite often. Maybe that is why I haven't lost weight. Anyways, it is clean clean clean and the staff is always nice nice nice. I never worry about what they are doing to my food and even though the (2!!) lines are always wrapped around the block, it moves relatively quickly as the staff is very competent. And the food actually looks like food. This is important at a fast food place. I feel like I'm actually eating real food that isn't *that* bad for me. I went there tonight and got the spicy chicken sandwich and an un-sweet tea. The sandwich was OK - neither bad nor great. Worse than I would expect at 7:30. The lady behind the counter was polite, but inattentive. I asked for un-sweet tea. She asked me if I wanted sweet tea. I said, "no, I want unsweet." You guessed it - I got sweet. And it was so hot it melted all the ice, so then I had room temperature, weak, semi-sweet tea. I think what really set the mood tonight was the male employee lying down in the booth by the head of the food ordering line. He was having a great time chatting on his phone and having a great time.
