This is the worst chic fil a location! Management is unprofessional specifically Courtney. Waited over 30 min in the drive up only to leave without food because breakfast was "over" meanwhile I marked the order as arrived at restaurant while they had a chatty girl in my lane and others in the next lane blow past me... It's how they handled the situation that really irritated me! Also unrelated I can't be the only one who notices how racist this location is....?!? I have to give this Chick-fil-A three stars because their ice machine seems to never work! I don't frequent this location. Today is my second visiting and the second time I am told the ice machine was out of service. I had my mind made up before entering that I would get a milkshake and that decision is usually made after I eat. Howis that I have I yet to write a review for Chik-fil-A yet?!? This place is great! The business idea/model is beyond. And the food is incredible! Pretty much everything they have to offer is SO good, but I don't understand why they do not even have other items on the menu. Not only is their food legit good, but this place runs with an efficiency you will not find at another fast food joint especially with the level of great customer service provided. Seeing a line of cars wrapped around the block would usually be a death sentence at another restaurant drive-thru, but not at Chik-fil-A! They are great at keeping the drive-thru line moving so regardless of how long the line is you shouldn't ever really be waiting for more than ten minutes. They also have a patio seating area, and counter ordering, which is just as fast if you decide you'd rather not eat in your car. This location they have their own parking lot and a descent amount of parking spaces. If there IS a long line you really don't have to worry, the line will move quickly. I have recently become OBSESSED with the breakfast, particularly the sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit which is the Bentley of ALL breakfast meals. McDonald's who?! ByE! I have on the last week or so put so many friends on this breakfast sandwich. And I mean the biscuit that it is served on deserves it's own review but I'll save that for another time. Airline location (across from Johnston Street post office) is newer & this reference is for mostly for that location. All have Fresh food preparation. All have Excellent customer service. The line never discourages me when I see it I had a craving for some tasty breakfast from them. I decided to try the cold brew which was actually really good. This was the strangest chick-fil-a experience I've ever had. So... I pull to the drive thru not many people in line so it goes by fairly quick. I'm giving my order to one of the employees and out the corner of my eye I notice two other employees in the other lane are staring and pointing at my car. (It's a blacked out charger) I ignore them for the most part but one of the employee's that was pointing at my car came over to the driver side, we make eye contact and he shouts to the other employee in the lane he was working "I TOLD YOU SO" and as he walks away I heard him mumble "it is a white chick driving the charger" I found it very strange but I just brushed it off my shoulder. The guy taking my order was very sweet and apologized for their behavior. I know this review is long but this isn't the end of my experience. My order is placed and I get up to the window you get your food from. There's two young ladies outside the window handing out food. If you've ever been to Chick-fil-A and ordered a salad you know they come in a specific bag. The bag is placed on the counter ready to go out but I'm not the employee idk if it's actually mine or not. I'm waiting for a few more minutes and the manger comes up to the girls that are also staring at me and she asks them "why is she still here? Why haven't yall given her the bag yet? What's the problem?" Finally they look at the bag and one of the girls hands it to me. I was so uncomfortable and ready to get out of that line. I don't know if I'll be going back. Chick Fil A has some amazingly good chicken!! It is very moist and tender. I am a big fan of their regular chicken sandwich. Simple and delicious. Fried chicken breast served with only pickles on a buttered bun. I also enjoy the spicy chicken deluxe sandwich. Their chicken nuggets are the best in the biz. I had lunch here today and it was a madhouse! The drive thru line was way down Veterans and since my crew wanted to dine in, it took me forever to get into the lot and find a parking spot. Once I was inside I stepped into the snake line and waited my turn. It didn't take long to order, but finding an available table was another story. When I finally found an open booth, there was trash on the floor underneath. And I mean lots of stuff! Now for the good - My meal was delivered to my table by a friendly employee. My food, and all of the food at my table of 4 folks was very good. All hot and fresh. We grabbed some condiments and straws from the table where all of those odds and ends are available and got to chowing. It was extremely loud. Kids were running everywhere. Avoid the veterans location - they more often than not mess up my order. They also don't allow for many changes like all the other locations. I prefer the Clearview location. They rarely run out of ingredients, the young kids/adults never have an attitude either. It's worth it to drive that way for the true chick fil a experience in my opinion. I live 2 minutes from the Vets location and wouldn't dare sit in that crazy intersection traffic to be met with attitudes- random refusals and a messed up order. Clearview location is a HIT!! Simply stated, Chick-fil-A effin' rules!! I've always loved Chick-fil-A and have been enjoying their food since they were slinging it in the Lake Forest Plaza back in the 80's. This new stand alone restaurant in Metairie is awesome, and one only has to take a look at the never ending lines inside and in the drive thru to realize that everyone knows about and loves this place. Lunchtime is extremely crowded but the lines still move relatively quickly. The general manager (Tom) has somehow instilled a level of professionalism & courtesy that I have yet to see in the fast food industry. Anytime you address an employee or say thanks to an employee, they reply by saying "it's my pleasure". These 3 simple words will change your entire dining experience as you'll feel like you're dining in a fine restaurant (until you take a look around and see the myriad of kids playing in the inside jungle gym/playhouse). On Saturdays, this place is PACKED with kids as parents relax in the air conditioning while their kids play. While you're eatng, staff members are constantly walking around bussing the tables and picking up any trash off the floor. Also, they walk around and clear your trays from your table and offer to refill your drink. And when you say thanks, they'll reply "It's my pleasure"! The food is always consistently good. My favorites would have to be the Spicy chiken filet and the chicken strips with the chick-fil-a sauce. The strips here are addictive, as are the nuggets. After you finish your meal, try one of their shakes. Although not quite as tasty as a malt, these shakes are awesome, and they offer some great seasonal flavors as well. Also, this is one of the few fast food restaurants that believes that Sundays are a day of rest and/or worship, which is why they are closed on Sundays. Chick-fil-A Veterans Memorial Blvd FSU aka the obnoxious Metairie own that blocks veterans at all hours. Absolutely terrible service. Mistakes can not be made at this location. Below happened and the owner flat out refused to refund my order and admitted that they don't have a cancel button for their store as many others do. Ignoring customers and being inflexible is not the customer service I expect from Chick fil a. Since the app update changed the app I didn't notice that it changed the place I was ordering my mobile order. I was ordering from Clearview, I thought. It wasn't till Clearview didn't have my order that I saw it was vets. I had up get my kids from school so I couldn't make it to another location. I called your store but got voice mail. Worst chick-fil-a I've ever been tooo!! Walked through the door and nobody greeted us. Three people in line. One cashier. After a few mins another cashier comes out. Everybody looked like they were miserable to be there. Finally get to order. I ask for the nugget meal with the fries well done. The lady tells me they don't do that. Well that's funny cause I always order that and it's never an issue. They were out of large cups, yet charged us for a large shake, which was in a medium cup. Although the food was as expected the customer service this morning was horrible. Not sure what this was all about but can we say PETTY? We have the app and were cashing in on our free food. We ordered on the mobile app and went thru the drive thru. The app doesn't have an option for half lemonade/half sweet or Arnold Palmer so we selected half and half which I guess is half sweet tea and half unsweetened tea. But in the comments we indicated that we wanted an Arnold Palmer. In the past this has never been an issue and it shouldn't have been one today. When we got to the window the lady said we selected half and half so we had to get that and we would have to pay a difference for the AP. Ok fine no prob. Then she says we can't do it. Uhhhhh. ..I thought we just had to pay the difference? NoPe! Petty right? Then my friend forget to order hash browns so she runs inside to buy them taking her drink along with her. She gets the hash browns and takes a sip of her drink and realizes the half and half is disgusting so she approaches the counter to ask for a coke or something else. NoPe! Mr. Petty tells her you left you can't get a refill. The fact that the drink is unacceptable supercedes leaving. I don't know who's minding the store but Popeyes is down the street and their chicken sandwich supercedes Chic fil a's. Very disappointed with Chick-fil-A today. I went through the drive-through yesterday to pick up a salad and a meal. When I got home, the chicken Cobb salad didn't have any cheese or corn and only three slices of egg. Considering it was lunchtime, I figured it was probably the worst time to call the store to talk to manager. I went back today with my receipt and I went inside to talk to the manager. The first manager told me I should've called the store bc they had three managers at that time. How was I supposed to know there're three managers working at one time at Chick-fil-A??? I told her I didn't know that bc I've never called Chick-fil-A in my life. Then I asked to talk to another manager. That manager said if he made an exception for me about the Cobb salad he would've had to make an exception for everyone. Didn't offer me a thing and said if I would've brought it back yesterday, he could've done something about it! I said to him in return, doesn't he know that there's a heatwave going through the United States??? There was no way I was beating the traffic on Veterans Memorial Blvd. with constriction, and trying to get back to Chick-fil-A in the heat!! I told him don't worry about it and I went straight to the register and ordered another one. Fyi, I noticed recently when I went to the location on Clearview Parkway, they were more than happy to put the extra pickles on the sandwich. Something else they don't do at the location on Veterans. This Chick-fil-A is very well run, efficient, with quality staff with consistent and quick product output. The chicken isn't greasy and freshly made, and they have fresh flowers on the tables. I have witnessed the owner with his staff and he seems a very good, engaged, manager that staff seem excited to see. This is probably the worst Chick-fil-a in Louisiana. They bought the smallest plot of land on Veterans (which is a VERY busy street.) The line is always backed out into Veterans. I've seen several wrecks almost occur. You can't do mobile pick-up/ordering because there's only one very small drive in and out. Once you're in, you're trapped. Don't go to this Chick-fil-a unless you have an hour to spare. I do highly recommend driving to the chick-fil-a in Elmwood! Driving there and back still saves you more time than waiting for this one. read more
